  • I still prefer the British Wheel Of Fortune theme over the American one.

  • @MattTheSpratt I think I do too mate =)

  • @MattTheSpratt If we're taliking about the 1983-1994 style, NO!

    If we're talking 1994-2000 style, I don't think so.

If we're talking 2000-2006 style, meh.

If we're talking 2006-present, YES the current version is bloody horrible.

  • @telewatcher89 Oh gosh I can only imagine what the current theme sounds like, that's the problem nowadays they don't make good music no more and I personally am not a fan of change, people say "oh it's outdated now, it's needs touching up a bit, you know to make to appeal to younger fans", no! If the theme is a popular one, keep it, why change it.

  • @Otouto72 I agree, but studios don't care about the long time viewers that make a show popular. They care about the young audience because that's where the advertising money is. These studios do surveys or test groups to see how could they make their product cool. With that said, I'd rather have an updated version of a theme that keeps the same melody (Sony era Jeopardy themes), rather than scrapping the theme altogether for some generic techno garbage(Family Feud 1999-2006 crap theme). [cont.]

  • @telewatcher89 [cont.] However, in the case of the 2006 Wheel theme, they kept the big band style music (which I wish they never introduced in 1994) and actually remade it for people in the older audience all while still trying to be "hip". It's an odd combination. I see it as the music interpretation of an old person trying to be "hip".

I'm young and I perfer the jazzy 1989-1994 music the best. It was hip WITHOUT trying to be hip. I've got a fever and the only persciption is more Saxophone.

  • The music was written by Barry Leitch and Ian Howe.

  • @Doommaster1994 Barry Leitch made a lot of great music over the years. I prefer this over the SNES version, but musically and gameplay wise!

  • idk I personally like the SNES one better because I grew up with it. He also did the NES 'Starring Vanna White Edition'.
