with that said below, i still love new orleans and the people, and i didn't mean to disrespect the lost, but i've even helped to rebuild it because i love the culture of new orleans, but i hate to see people blame government for something that isn't their problem like we did to Bush and the government. we have to take our own responsibility. same for the west coast with earthquakes and the mid west with tornadoes. my prayers are still with those families and i pray for a safe hurricane season.

all i can say is i'm from south alabama and my grandmother who is 88 said we never had help from goverment when we lost everything since she was a child. ask the mayor of new orleans what he did with all the federal money that was given over 30 years for rebuildig the leves? look where he lives and what he drives. why didn't he plan for evacuation 2 weeks in advance? wouldn't you? if would save lives. after all your below sea level, and you have known this since the battle of 1814

New Orleans officials knew that the flood could happen anytime. They didn't do anything however because the coffers were empty due to all their ridiculous social programs that obviously didn't work because the poor people do nothing but leech off of them instead of using them to help themselves. Also, anyone who's poor today is poor because they are on drugs or lazy. If we have jobs for every Mexican than can crawl here, we have work for anyone that's already living here.
