  • @182MB Why instead of Beethoven? Beethoven was a genius as well..

  • y does dis song hv to end!!

  • this is the greatest song of all time

  • Hello, I'm a Genious.

  • This song is so chill and probably the best song to just relax to, and its one of my favorites for that reason

  • my fav song to realex...

  • there is no one way to explain what this song means

it means whatever you want it to

  • @cloudsinmycoffee24 its about 9/11- cool user name by the way!

  • @IIIrainman Actually he wrote it before 9/11 and they delayed releasing it because of the whole 9/11 thing. Heard it on a podcast thing

  • The words are all around but the words are only sound, And no one ever seems to listen.!!!! Pretty self explanitory

  • one person must be deaf

  • Used to be a huge Jack Johnson fan. But it all sounds the same. Gets pretty boring after a good while.

  • Ohhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaa

  • I think this song is about how we are losing touch about the meaning of life and everything around us. We are making everything all about us.

  • im learning how to play it atm

  • I love this song

i only learned about jack Johnson through curious George :)

little did i know id come to love all his music

  • This song is best !

  • this song is better !

  • epic

  • His music is amazing, it's hard to find good music now. And I'm 16 and saying this.

  • I love this song!

  • love Jack Johnson! :))

  • This song makes me happy..

  • "well how could we have known "i'd tell them its not so hard to tell"

"If you keep adding stones, soon the water will be lost in the well"

"talking about the plans on the paper building up from the pavement"

    either way damn good writing

  • i think this song is about natural conservation... i've seen these documentaries called blue gold and 180 degrees south. they both covered alot of the same subjects unintentionally. they mentioned how building dams and mining ground water disrupts the areas' water cycle and soil nutrient. large corp's positioning themselves for a shortage. privatizing or scrambling to control a share of what should be a trust (free, public)but are turned into a commodity and sold to Suez, Veolia, Rwe/Thames, etc

  • This song instantly makes me feel better!

  • =D .... ~!!! <3

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • "If you keep adding stones, soon the water will be lost in the well"

Means if you keep covering the earth in concrete, it's beauty will be lost forever. Excellent songwriting.

  • yes, lets stop building houses guys.

  • didn't catch on to that one, but it's totally right. i love jack's writing.

  • @Cmmarti1 im fairly certain that this song is not about preserving the earths beauty, although that is a nice message. i think it is about 9/11; "shadows of the planes on the pavement", "shadows of the scrapers on the pavement", "how could we have know", "shadows on their way to the heavens", etc. Just my interpretation.

  • @Cmmarti1 Yeah, it's such a beautiful line.

  • @Cmmarti1 i dont think thats a good translation. it means is you keep adding info, the truth will be lost. its not so literal as that.

  • fucking incredible fantastic !!!! I love his all songs

  • yes

  • what does this mean??

  • "There's traffic in the sky And it doesn't seem to be getting much better There's kids playing games on the pavement Drawing waves on the pavement Shadows of the planes on the pavement Its enough to make me cry But that don't seem like it would make it feel better Maybe its a dream and if I scream It will burst at the seams This whole place will fall to pieces And then they'd say..." Being from Hawaii, Jack was surrounded by nature. He is speaking about how the earth is being
  • umm. thanks. cuz i really like this song but I didnt really get it.

  • wait, I don't think it posted the other comment. Atleast I don't see it.

  • definatly, hawaii is a beautiful place so its no wonder jack's music is as beautiful as anything i have ever seen or heard!

  • Pero enorme enorme eh! Recuerdo el verano pasado mientras sobrevolaba el caribe, escuchándola en mi iphone. Que grande!

  • this is AMAZING.
