Hoping the people in Los Angeles area are watching Ron's brother, Paul Magers. Paul is an anchor/reporter for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.

Ron Magers is my favorite news anchor of all time. I grew up watching him back when he was channel 5 and still watch him to this day on channel 7. But I also have to say that Mark Giangreco is also my favorite sports anchor as well!!

Ron Magers and Carol Marin on Channel 5 with Mark Giangreco for Sports and...was that Johnny Tilmon for weather? That was the best news team in Chicago. Once their management decided to bring in Jerry Springer for "commentary" and Magers & Marin left, Channel 5's 10 p.m. news went right down the tubes.

Mark is a good sports anchor! I don't really care for Ron Magers though.

Are you serious? Ron Magers is my favorite local news anchor of all time. He is admired by many. A lot of people like Mark, but I think more Chicagoians like Ron more.
