Y que tiene que ver la profesia con el amor a cuba?.Porque justamente cervantes escribio esta musica porque se tuvo que marchar de cuba una tierra que el amaba mucho, de ahi su tristeza y melancolia.Esta es una pieza de amor y mucha tristeza.Y en cuanto a la opresion,para hablar de la historia de un pais hay que conocerla muy bien primero y luego tener derecho a hacerlo.tampoco se que tiene que ver lo de congo y caravali con una pieza clasica,pero hay que abrirse a la ignorancia por desgracia.
Hi suzettegm! This magnificent and touching piece, is one of the most melancholic and sadest pieces of Ignacio Cervantes' repertory. It was composed when Cervantes was exiled to Europe by the colonial spanish government. That's why it's tittle is "Goodbye, Cuba". It expresses the sadness felt by it's author. I had this piece in my heart when I left Cuba too, and I know how it feels. The interpreter must have this feeling in his heart to play it properly, but it's ok. Cheers!!!

To have this collection of Cuban dances composed by Ignacio Cervantes there is one beautifully interpreted by the Cuban pianist Juana Zayas, or even the album edited in Cuba by the pianist Frank Fernández named Todo Cervantes, Todo Saumell (All Cervantes, All Saumell) in which the pianist plays charmingly the piano works of this two masters of cuban classical music.
