Yann Tiersen lover, huh? ;o) nice playing, just dropped onto this one randomly whilst looking for a new piece of music to learn playing right after I will be ready with Yiruma's "Kiss the rain". Wonderful, keep up your good playing and hope to hearing more very soon!
thank you soo much for the website where we can find the sheets. I just soo thankful for that. I love yann tiersen's music. and I feel like I have to learn playing every song he wrote..! :) ehh.. and: your playing is amazing by the way. :) Did I say "thanks" already..? :) THANKS.
I keep wondering, assuming a person really has "ear" and pleasure while trying to do it, how long with he/she be able to be able that song, the way you do it... :) Wonderful. :)
You play totally amazing! And what a beautifull song. Listened to it all night, and fell asleep afterwards because of the calming and comforting effect. I can't wait to learn it.
You play totally amazing! And what a beautifull song. Listened to it all night, and fell asleep afterwards because of the calming and comforting effect. I can't wait to learn it.
You're amazing! Every time I watch this video I can't stop looking at your window, is like a film going. All your videos are very good, congratulations on the job! I hope one day come to play a little as you =) Thank you for posting the scores on your site, helped a lot ^ ^
@monnebonne Hehe, I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^__^ Definitely should learn some of these pieces, I find theyre the best after a stressful day of anything, or a nice break from studying ! :P
@gadgiestyle not sure where he is, but I know where he's from, and it's definetly not Asia.try more like Europe, trust me, it's all written there;) and he's talented.
Great! - the atmosphere in your video just the window, it looks cold outside and you can play piano in front of that. I would also do that with my piano if I had such a nice place. But in front of my windows are just the noisy street. Wow i just love how you play that and how your fingers "flow" over the piano(you know what I mean, just like they just touch them for a short time and so fast and light)...sorry for my english I'm from Germany :D
@TheJoulification Danke! There are even times when a noisy street makes for a beautiful atmosphere! It all depends on the mood! ^_^ Thanks for taking the time to comment! You shouldn't worry about your english, it's really good, better than most of the people that live in this country! :P
hello friend I write from latinoamerica your adaptation of this piece is amazing.. great job. I wanted to ask what`s video camera used you for record this video?. I also want to upload my videos but my camera records very badly and the sound is worst. muchas gracias
@juanpabliknot It's the Canon HV20 camera. I record straight from the piano (it's a digital piano) into my computer, and the camera takes care of the video! :) Hope that helps! Thanks for watching ^_^
Really beautiful. I'm always so moved by how Yann Tiersan can use the most simplistic elements to make a truly gorgeous song. You really capture the delicacy and emotion that he conveys. Love your videos.
first of all I love the camera angle with the passing cars outside.. Then your playing is awesome, perfect paste and everything.. Is it hard to learn as a mediocre pianist? its very repetetive? I can play Comptine de d autre éte.
@JollyJont This piece is fairly simple to play! If you can play Comptine then you should be fine with this one! :) Glad you like my filming, i try to do something different with each video so it's more enjoyable :D
Yamaha YDP 20 or something like that :p im not home right now so don't remember! I think i have a list of all the instruments i own on my main youtube page
this is so wonderful.. the problem is,i cant read sheets, but i play piano by learning it from videos here on youtube. .. would you make a tutorial? :) that would be so great ^^
What type of piano is that? (not to say that that's the reason why your playing's so awesome : D), but my yamaha p70 is not giving me that effect that I'm looking for; especially for yann tiersen songs.
If you want to achieve that sound, play around with CHORUS/REVERB settings! I usually maximize the reverb on the piano. Should have instructions in your manual on how to do that!
You are the inspiration for my next video. I love Yann Tiersen and I've uploaded a video playing a song of him. Hope you like it. Thanks for that nice video, it really made my day...
thank you very much for the comment! I didn't want to become another one of those "youtube musicians" that sets up the camera in the same place every single time. It kills the mood for me. So i take advantage of my film-making skills and try something different everytime! I'm glad there are those that appreciate it! ^_^
Hey! Sorry for the late response, your comment really does flatter me! I appreciate the support! =D I've been busy lately, because university started already, but pretty soon I'll get back to releasing more videos! Hope you enjoy the ones to come!
The recording quality is amazing and so is your playing - i can't tell the difference between this and Tiersen's version. What's your setup like to record the audio?
Secondly, this is a Yamaha digital piano, I go directly from line out (headphone jack) on the piano, to line in on my computer to record.
Then I edit the audio (equalizer, noise reduction, sometimes reverb, etc) to give it a more warm feel. EQ is especially important since the original signal from the piano is very muddy, after applying my eq you can much better make out the different ranges of the keyboard! :)
Amazing!!! I've been playing piano professionally for 7 years... and this amazes me xD thats really awesome man.... but i wanna ask.. do you move ur piano every vid u make? Lulz.... i was jw. xD
Thanks so much! I really feel honoured that you say that! Just wait till I bring the accordion and other instruments out! hehe, I will be doing multi-instrumental covers of his songs too!
can somebody tell me where could i find the "tabarly" movie on the net?:)
