Thanks, I'm gratified and amazed that after all these months people are still finding my movie and appreciating it. It was a life long dream to do an effects movie on a shoestring budget and Anderson seemed like the ideal vehicle, especially as there were so many models and toys available that were faithful to the original shows.
it's a 10+. Gerry Anderson would be impressed. Your ability to combine them all was quite impressive. I am a HUDGE fan ans have always thought no one knew as much about Gerry Andersons shows so I know this took alot of effort to put them all together and make it work. THANK YOU for effort. Sadly he never got the credit he deserved for his creations and (in the USA) was undrated.
They do all belong together, don't they? They fit well, nicely done! i do wonder how you got the UFO to spin so easily; only my homebuilt UFO spun with some ease, the PE we could never get to work as well.
I put some paper "caps" (you know the sort you use in toy guns) inside the mobile model and then set fire to it. I decide this was far too hazardous a technique to use in my confined flat, so opted for animated explosions from then on. The red smoke on the Jupiter probe was a small smoke bomb which comes in tablet form, which I break a piece off then set fire to. Thanks again for your comments, always welcome.

I attached fishing line to the ufo's shields, then the other ends of the line to a small hand held battery operated fan.

where did you the sound for the mole ?
megablocksmad 3 years ago
It was a sound effect of a drill I got off the internet. The engine was from a UFO mobile.

Great editing, especially with the music. Loved to see the Space 1999 ships playing a key role. Loved that show. The UFO doll freaked me out though!
Great how you got the dolls to 'speak' and the drawn explosions, etc. Must've taken you ages!

Great to see this all in one. What did you use for the explosion at 2:35. And how did you get the smoke on the launch of the Jupiter Probe.
Gerry Anderson would be proud of you.
