  • i was 13/14 when this came out kinda defines the random taste in music tastei have now

  • Yeah I remember - hangin' out in Covent Garden watering holes...Smollenky's Balloon...Camden Lock pubs Sunday morning, hung over...halcyon days!

  • For those who were 'there' when this song came out: Does anyone else remember the many remix versions that appeared around the globe at various parties that ALWAYS sparked the most amazing spontaneous Dance-Fests? Good times; Good times. Nothing quite like a group of folk in various states of mind and dress (or, undress) absolutely grooving to this little ditty. Uh-Huh. I think it's time to resurrect this tune and pass it around again. Cheers.

  • Great!

  • This is such a TUNE! Great post.

  • Oh forgot to say great band, fantastic at T in the Park 1st time round before the Pet Sounds stage but still good

  • Yip - he is a big fan of the fenders are normally plays either a stratocaster or telecaster both vintage 50s and 60s era and these are overally expensive. I had both and didn't like them and got a Gibson Les Paul and never looked back

  • what a fucking tune

  • When I first heard this, I thought he was singing "A chin's the baby baby, Tottenham!"

    I was a strange child.

  • what it means Tattva?

  • Tattva is a Sanskrit word meaning principle/reality or truth.

  • I dreamt I made I made a timebomb

    Tiiiiiimebomb

  • This is such a great song and video.American Version Rules!

  • Has to be a loose fit

Has to be a loose fit

    Go on do your bit

  • I don't hear the resemblance...

  • & (i forgot)......me too!!

  • Tattva according to the enlightened one, Dadashri of Akram Vignan, means element. There are six eternal elements in this universe of ours. The song is about the eternal element, the Self, or the Soul. This is the common denominator in all living beings. Achintya means it is beyond human intellect and chit. Abheda means without a division, like You and I are one.

If you wish to know more about the other five eternal elements, see dadashri. Search under Dadashri and You will come closer.

  • Thanks for enlightening everyone

  • I would like to paste the comment already posted..don't mind.. if u do, mark it as 'poor comment'

"Tattva" in Sanskrit means "Absolute Truth". Achintya-bhedabheda-tattva means that the Absolute Truth is simultaneously, inconceivably one and different. Just as a drop of the Atlantic ocean is qualitatively one with the Atlantic Ocean and quantitatively different from it, the living being is qualitatively one with God and quantitatively different from God.That is called "achintya-bhedabheda-tattva"

  • One of their best, Ellen DeGeneres was a great frontman for this band!.

  • Haha. I don't believe it. I was just about to leave the same comment.

  • ah, so she's not only a talk show host? no wonder she's famous.

  • Oh, C'mon! do we have to 'somehow' remembering Ellen's face while we are enjoying this cool music??? NO!

  • LOL, i was thinking exactly the same...

  • what does it means "tattva"?? (que significa "tattva"??)

  • "Tattva" in Sanskrit means "Absolute Truth". Achintya-bhedabheda-tattva means that the Absolute Truth is simultaneously, inconceivably one and different. Just as a drop of the Atlantic ocean is qualitatively one with the Atlantic Ocean and quantitatively different from it, the living being is qualitatively one with God and quantitatively different from God.

That is called "achintya-bhedabheda-tattva". Hope this helps :)

  • I heard this performed on Mark radcliffes Radio 1 show before it was released as a single and I am sure it didn't have the hippy drippy middle eight bit. Sounded much better without it!!

  • Gosh, I remember listening to this song on repeat and sitting in my room with incense and candles burning. hahaha! This brings back lotsa memories. :D

  • I am sure you also did LSD or shrooms in your room listening to this, if not atleast smoked pot...

  • Um, actually no. I'm not into drugs. Never tried 'em, never will. It is possible to enjoy the song without all that. ;D

  • haha..I know girl, was just kidding...awesome song tho...

  • crispian rulessss

  • crispian rulessss

  • Sweet tune!!! Thanx for posting this, never saw the video before!

  • I believe it has the following meaning; as Crispy Crisp is clearly singing the words "Ginger Baker made a Tattva", it is obviously a reference to the uncontrollable flatulence of the aforementioned Mr.Baker. In fact, while out on a demon hunting weekend with Jack Bruce last August, he told me that the reason Cream split was due not to GB's heroin addiction, but merely the fact that he smelled like a shithouse fly. Next time, the sickening white slavery ring that tore apart S Club 7.

  • LMAO

  • ok normally I would yell "blasphemy", but THAT was just too freakin funny! Thanks for the ha-ha!

  • Jesus, that's funny, especially the last line - LMFAO

  • whats a tattva

  • a tattva is a philosophical truth. accintya bhedabheda-tattva means that we are all one and at the same time different from the Supreme Absolute. it's inconceivable, acintya.

  • Keelerbea

  • Lord Chaitanya's doctrine

achintya bheda abheda tattva - The Supreme absolute truth simultaneously one & different.

  • whats the non american version

  • I was living in Indonesia when this vid. first came out and I remembered it was a lot more better than the US version.

The rest of the world are in the same trend at all times but when it comes to penetrating US market, fffuck that!!

  • It's the one which dares to show Indian ladies, and which doesn't have a literal interpretation of some of the lyrics!

  • I just watched both versions back to back, and I don't hear a difference in the lyrics? (I definitely appreciated the ladies in the other version, though! :)

  • I think it's just the video which is different.

  • Oh yeah!

  • yo lo escucho bastante beattles...nada nuevo

  • you are right mate!

Your comment made me laugh for minutes...

  • Do you always have to categorize??? What if it's not a britpop? Doesn't have to be pure something to be good! They're just adorable... Are they somewhere guys like Crispian?

  • I Love This Song. I LOVE Kula Shaker. They're really great and this is not the only good song they've made. and THEY RULE!

  • Oh it only took me like 3 hours to find the name of the song and group. I did't remeber any of them, nor the year, nor the album, nothing. So I googled "rock song with a hindu name" LOL bingo!!

  • and who says the Gurus aren't playing magic dj

  • TATTVA BABY YEAH

  • Best driving tune ever.

  • He does look like Ellen DeGeneres! Funny. He's the son of Hayley Mills.

  • The lead singer looks like Ellen DeGeneres. I can't believe it's been ten years. God, I'm old.

  • First time I've seen the US version. I like the original UK version better, sorry.

  • Kula Shaker rock my little world.

  • This is the ONLY good song they've made.

  • You are obviously the world's biggest moron making statements like that.. .put yourself out of your misery cause you just made a complete ass out of yourself...Shaker Forever!

  • umm...i'd disagree. I think Knight on the Town is equally as good, if not better than this song..give it a listen.

  • No way, so they have actually managed to reform then? Is it the start of a new album recording anytime soon do you know? Did Dead Can Dance reforming and touring last year too, a possible likely influence for them have something to do with it I wonder?

  • So good so good so good. Went to their Sheffield comeback gig last night. Absolutely amazing, really, really good.

  • Wow! Was that really a decade ago? Time flies.
