Henderson held two belts in Pride. He won a tournament for the 185 belt and he knocked out Wanderlei Silva for the 205 belt. He needs to diversify his a attack to beat Anderson Silva.

Dude if anything is for sure its that Dan will take down Silva. But to think that once their in the clinch that its over for Silva is a little too naive. I think Dan is gonna feel an opponent like no other and needs a real strategy to win. Anderson is like GSP. He just keeps getting better and better where as Dan is slowly fading. But Dan isn't that old yet.

If he takes it to the ground he'll beat silva no problem. The only times hendo is been submitted has been by big tall heavyweights.
Lutter Mounted silva and could have pounded his mush in if he had any strking prowess. He went for an armbar and lost. Franklin had him on his back in round 1 of the 2nd bout. If he stuns Dam with a knee or a kick to head and Dan trys to clutch for a takedown to recover, Silva could slip away and land more blows which will force the ref to stop. Dude if anything is for sure its that Dan will take down Silva. But to think that once their in the clinch that its over for Silva is a little too naive. I think Dan is gonna feel an opponent like no other and needs a real strategy to win. Anderson is like GSP. He just keeps getting better and better where as Dan is slowly fading. But Dan isn't that old yet.

this is a bad style matchup for silva. Dan is better in every aspect of fighting except for striking, but Dan's clinch and takedowns will overcome that imo. I am excited for this one.

the outocome of the fight will be determined by dan henderson, if he decides to stand-up and trade with silva i see him losing by decision(i don't think he can be ko'd). If he takes it to the ground he'll beat silva no problem. The only times hendo is been submitted has been by big tall heavyweights.

but the fact is that hendo has struck with great strikers. you and i both know he is not on anderson's level, but you said silva is better in the clinch but is only better with the striking from the clinch. Dan's got great dirty boxing and will toss or throw Silva. Dan is a freak and strong as hell. If he is smart, he will take Silva down at will and pound him out. Even Travis Lutter's slow ass was able to take Silva down.

Do you even watch the UFC. Silva doesn't have to KO him at all to win. All he has to do is hurt Dan and keep throwing undefended srikes. Especially if Mazzagatti is Ref. He;s a major douscebag. there might have been instances in the ufc where the refs might have stopped fights early, but to suggest that the result of this fight depends on what ref is calling the fight is insane. these are two of the very best fighters in their divisions. i think they can and will determine the winner of their fight themselvs.

Yes but thats not my point. Everyone is counting out Silva because Dan has never been KO'd. Silva doesn't need a KO. If he stuns Dam with a knee or a kick to head and Dan trys to clutch for a takedown to recover, Silva could slip away and land more blows which will force the ref to stop. If Silva wins Sat you'll see what I mean. Dan will not be KO'd but a TKO is very likely if stands too long with Anderson.

lutter got mount only once and it is not possible to triangle someone when they have you in mount. he had silva down twice in gaurd but he was too stupid and tired to know silva could submit him. silva got the triangle from gaurd. the fight was there for the taking against silva. henderson got wreckless and saw dollar signs when he landed a punch. he was winning the fight until then. he could have won but he didnt stick to wrestling. big mistake
