nissan patrol vs toyota land cruiser

Say I have a stock 2011 LC200. what modification is needed to make it a better off road vehicle than... say a stock one? I am looking at deep mud trekking, wet muddy hill climbing and deep, sometimes very deep, rough river crossing.

just look how low is front bumper on LC..ideal for crushing it on dirt or stone...in my opinion patrol is better..it is more simple car,with solid diffs and excelent 4.2d engine...no too much of electronic this,ellectrically that.and it is cheamper...for rest of the money you can upgrade it so that Lc does not have chance against it... this LC they should put against new y62.he is more luxuryious and wtih too much wiiring like LC....on y 61 dissadvatage is only lack of front diff lock...

Everyone will have their preferences, but you have no idea unless you've owned both. I have. The Patrol is a great truck, no doubt, but the Land Cruiser is a superior vehicle. I'll put my 80 series up against any Patrol on the planet.

Patrol is the best and apart from it best great off road when it comes to stability on the road it is among the best. Landcruisers are not great in curves at high speed. Patrols are the very best.

is that why when you go too the centre of australia the majority of 4x4 arelandcruisers which are broken down. The nissan patrol are the only manufactured 4x4 suited for ozzie conditions also the first thing breaks on a toyoto are there drivetrains lol,the patrols are bulletproof

@brucenash I own vx 200 series. Sit in a patrol and then sit in a landcruiser. The patrols interior is like a ford falcon, where as the landcruisers interior is far more comfortable and well made.What about the $4500 option on GXL standard on all other models KDSS. This suspension system was made and designed in Australia. It is far superior to anything Nissan could offer. But you have to remember that the Landcruiser is around $20 thousand dearer, so you would expect all of this.
