The only thing this game has in common with GoW is that they are both third person, and that's about it. Fuck this game has more in common with the Lord of The Rings game for the PS2 some years back. The The Towers game, end level was like a 45 minute battle at the gates of Helms Deep. Anyone remember? Anyways, fuck all like GoW. It's a few hours of 'FUCK YEAH!' fun. I myself have never really been involved with 40k...I saw it in the Comic Book stores and was always interested in the dioramas, but i never really got into it. That being said, this game looks amazing. I'm really glad they didn't go with a GoW mechanic - I've got nothing against GoW, it's just that seeing something new and interesting in a sea of crappy GoW spinoffs makes all gamers happy.

Blizzard took their idea's and made their own version of it which everyone knows as WoW. This is why the game is so similar to WH40K.

Also why do you think the tyranids are so numerous? They take dead corpses DNA back to the hive mother and get the tyranids reproduced extremely quickly. They sometimes use the DNA of a fallen foe providing the warriors get em and not the other more hungry ones.

It is built out of much stronger more durable metals, the movements and weapons systems are more sophisticated. The fuel system is much more powerful and the crew arent all half wit brutes. Pretty much invented the "Huge Bulky Space Marine" as well as humorous amounts of gore and dakka in a GrimDark SciFi setting. The mythology is impossibly complex and well fleshed out. I'm definitely picking this one up as a huge 40k fan. In the Emperor's name, NONE shall survive the purgation.
