Also with oly lifts in training, why does the athlete usually dump the bar immediately after it is racked in the clean or above head in the snatch? I mean instead of standing/steadying it 100% for a few seconds. Is it to save energy for more reps?
You can save energy doing it that was but if I know I have it and it is not a PR or in competition who cares. Plus a few seconds is a very long time. The rule is to demanstrate control which could be as quick as half a second if you look smooth.
