Taiwan is different than China. I'm a white girl and my boyfriend is Taiwanese. Taiwan has its own dialect and language, its own culture that is separate than China, and Taiwanese people even look a bit different than Chinese. So many Taiwan isn't its own country yet (since communist China insists on controlling it), but surely there are differences between the two.

just wanna comment on the dialect thing, china itself has alot of different dialects and cultures too, having a diff' dialect or culture does not mean no relation. eg US has diff' cultures in diff' states but its still a country. but concerning the sticky politcal situation i leave that to the leaders of the world (and the youtube trolls).
