  • The Howling 1 was a good werewolf movie. However it spawned a few inferior sequels.

    I think The Howling 1 & 2 & 3 & 6 were the best . If you are wondering why i missed a few numbers, it's because 4 & 5 & 7 lacked imagination and creativity in the films.

  • 0:17 : "What do you see"

    Rob Zombie ? Anyone ?

  • go to the dentist, honey o.O

  • Illuminati happy face.

  • Bad Moon is the ...best were wolf movie forever .....super duper ....movie i like it very much...."BAD MOON" is better than dog soldiers and silver bullet...

  • @shobhithlaxman bad moon sux

  • Dog soldiers best

    American werewolf in london good

    Silverbullet worst

  • Dee Wallace HAs A Cavity :O

  • I can respect that this movie has a pretty big fanbase and that's fine. But to be honest it just didn't click with me. It had its moments such as the transformation scene and the attack in the doctor's office, and I actually do think it has a good general premise but overall it just felt kind of bland. And I'm a guy whose favorite horror films are for the most part older and slower paced ones like THE THING and THE SHINING, so don't think I'm just a kid who can't respect the classics.

  • @SLPIFan When I first saw it, it was a totally different experience. Perhaps because it has been redone so many different ways, we forget what it was like when they finally got away from the "Wolf Man" and did it properly. I would liken it to the way Todd MacFarlane took the comic industry. It was that cutting. Back then.

  • Howling v was the best.

  • is that the mom from ET ???

  • van helsing is the best werewolf movie ever, who agrees

  • The Howling was boring as hell ~_~

  • she looks like Agnetha Faltskog

  • Ginger snaps is better (for me). But Howling is legendary <3

  • This is an awesome trailer and an awesome movie! I Love the music

in this movie also. Plus, the claw marks through the screen were pretty

cool. It's just too bad that they gave away the heroine transforming into a

werewolf in the preview. I Hate it when trailers give away too much.

  • They'll do a remake of this film. Im not guessing, it's a fact.

  • If you're a old school horror movie fan =) go watch the "Nasty Horror flick a day" page on facebook !

  • i believe!

  • I think I saw this movie when I was in primary school, was there a scene were the wolf bit a persons head off in front of a tree?

  • Did you know it only took them 28 days to make this movie it is totaly cool

  • This movie is a lot cooler than the trailer makes it look. At least it is in my taste.

  • Dog Soldiers is the best

  • @brevicbri1298bria I don't see why so many people like that movie, it was so shitty and the characters were fucktarded.

  • Ya this film scared the shit out of me as a kid.

  • Awesome movie, I actually liked the transformation scene in this movie a bit better than the one in AWIL (don't shoot me, please!)

    But I've got one question:

Where the hell is the stateside Blu-ray release?!?!? Germany, France, and Australia all have Blu-ray versions. All the US has is a set called "the Howling Trilogy," which only contains 3, 5, and 7. You'd think the first movie didn't even exist! This is an outrage!

  • @goji3755 yehh i bought it on brue ray over here, its amazing freaky as hell, same it doesn't have it in the country of origin :(

  • okay, i don't want anyone to hurt me but, i have never seen this movie...NOW BEFOR YOU TRY TO KILL ME WITH CHAINSAWS !!!!!!!! I am about to press play on the howling in 5....4....3....2....1.... looks good!!!

  • This is one of my all time favorites right along side AWL. I would love to introduce my son to the movies so that he could understand that there is an actual art to producing a scary movie. But as a mom, I'm not sure I will ever know what the right age is to watch something this scary. My blood pressure just shot up watching the trailer!

  • @servhymn66

i'll say at 15 lllllllllllol. I was watching these movies when i was 10

  • Yea. AWL is betr

  • Is that the mom from E.T.?

  • @manutdfan3535 Yeah, Dee Wallace.

  • American Werewolf In London is better!

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • Hundreds of werewolf movies, but the really good ones are The Howling, American Werewolf in London, Silver Bullet, Dog Soldiers, and the 2009 Wolfman.

  • @GarthanSaal444 agree with all except the 2009 wolfman it really didn't show anything new that other werewolf films havn't done the only good thing in it for me was antony hopkins as he is a superb actor

  • I remember watching this when it first came out, and being extremely disappointed. It was, quite frankly, a very cheap version of An American Werewolf In London. The special fx were laughable, even at the time, and the plot was ludicrous. Sure, let's all be nostalgic, but also let us be honest.

  • "da jauling!"

  • im getting these movies for christmas. yay

  • i reacon the american werewolf in london is better thou this is good 2

  • always been my fav.yes its a little dated and slow in some areas.but its what the films hidden messege is.who ever believes that violence happens in the city only and all they have to do is move to the country and live in a small town to raise thier kids.well dont believe everything the news tells you .cause you never know just how many bodies are in your neighbors basement.

  • I'm a fan of Underworld, but this is the best werewolf movie, and the best werewolf transformation to this day.

  • This IS THEE ultimate werewolf movie!!!

  • shit movie, wherewolf in london owns

  • Bad news, guys. This movie is being remade. And they're outright saying that they're "going for a wider audience," and that it will be "Twilight with bite."

    It's making me feel sick...

  • @goji3755 They tried to assassinate culture with censorship and it didn't work. But this method of which you speak? Apparently, that one does. Studio executives should be put at the bottom of the ocean with all the other cutthroat yuppies.

  • @goji3755 yeah the howling reborn .but the fact that it isnt platinum dunes and just a couple of indie film makers who got a lucky budget.gives this a small shred of hope.but prepare to be dissapointed.

  • this is one of the best werewolf films that i ever saw, along with american werewolf in london, silver bullet, dog soldiers and the wolfman.the transformations were the best that i have ever seen, and the way the werewolf's looked especially in the office when the girl is looking at some files and the wolf is there when she looks up that was scary as hell.

  • the werewolf that she turns into at the end, kinda ruins the whole movie I think.

that wuz the worst werewolf I've ever seen, so not scary, it wuz just a laugh nothing else.

  • @fontanacourtney what about dog soldiers

  • Imagine your worst fear as a reality.

  • Classic werewolf film with the gorgeous Dee Wallace.

  • @Scroopulous He's not a "faggot" and yes they are few of the greatest werewolf films and you didn't have to act like an ignorant douche about it.

  • Was there a howling movie where the werewolf fights a vampire?

  • @555GC I believe that was in part 6?

  • Great movie and great FX. I think Rob Bottin was 19 at the time. Incredible talent.

  • bloody hell talk about spoiler alert

  • THUMBS UP IF THIS SCARED THE HAIRY BALL SACKS OUTTA YOU !

  • Dee Wallace was so do-able back then.

  • It is spelled "Werewolf" not Warewolf

  • Man, I almost crapped myself when I saw this back when I was a kid!

  • Remember going to see this as a kid..me and cousin went to see Popeye which I loved and he hated so we walked into the Howling afterwards..I remember the shining trailer playing right before it..and the movie scared the heck out of me..I was most of the time staring at the image from the smoky projector. Afterwards I was staring at my cousin in the car while he was driving imagining he was turning into a werewolf..and scared myself silly.

  • This was one of he few werewolf movies that actually scared me when i was younger. This is how a werewolf movie should be.

  • i saw it in the dover movie theater in 1981 it was a scary movie took me year to stop being creep out by it and this was the best werewolf transformation ever american werewolf in london is second

  • in 15 minute is on tv 1000 at tv

  • OMG I remember this movie... ti scared me a lot... everytime, everywhere, everybody around me were werewolfs in my mind! LOL

  • i watched this movie like 2 weeks ago late at night and i got scared

  • Released the same year along with 2 more werewolf classics: Wolfen and American Werewolf in London

  • Released the same year as Wolfen and American Werewolf in London, 2 more werewolf classics

  • Released the same year as Wolfen and American Werewolf in London, 2 more werewolf classics

  • KICK ASS WEReWOLF MOVIE

the ending makes me cry and then hungry

  • Right...1981. No CGI. That's why this movie is and always will be superior to anything made today. This was real make-up effects, not some geeks sitting there pressing computer buttons. Best werewolf movie ever made, period.

  • uhm this is an 80-s movie and has no cgi

  • @weyron101 uhm never said it did have CGI... dick.

  • re-read you't comment

  • i did. i never said THIS movie had CGI. i was pointing something out. a topic that was related to the movie.

  • está bueno tu video, de hecho amí me fascnan las películas de los hombres lobo. Bueno adiós.

  • Had this great movie b4,but made the mistake of letting some girl borrow it. Never seen it again. Curses.

  • The Howling Silver Bullet and An American Werewolf In London best werewolf films period.

  • @fontanacourtney,

    Agreed.

You should watch, "Wolfen". Not werewolf genre, but an awesome film none the less.

  • @fontanacourtney whoa whoa...what about Dog Soldiers?!

  • @fontanacourtney I agree with you, but I Dog Soldiers should also be ranked among the elite werewolf films.

  • @fontanacourtney You forgot Wolfen

  • @fontanacourtney you 4got dog soldiers

  • @fontanacourtney no they ain't faggot

  • @fontanacourtney Dog soldiers and Ginger Snaps.

  • @fontanacourtney

you forgot about Dog Soldier brah

  • @fontanacourtney Don't forget The Wolfman

  • @fontanacourtney what about the wolf man from the 1940's do u like that one? i think thats one of the best.

  • @fontanacourtney you forgot Dog soldiers

  • @theblazingdark9 agreed!!! just watched it for the first time amazing!!.. and got a good rating by Rotten Tomatoes;)

  • @fontanacourtney i agree but i liked Dog Soldiers too :)

  • @fontanacourtney you forgot Wolfen

  • @fontanacourtney dog soilders mate ;)

  • @fontanacourtney and ginger snaps

  • @fontanacourtney dude you forgot the wolfman

  • @fontanacourtney i think bad moon was better then silver bullet and the howling the werwolf of badmoon wqas fucking scary looking

  • u lot r sad

  • yes we are

  • what werewolf movie is the one where the guy melts into a puddle? its a part of a werewolf transformation...

  • nah best werewolf movies are howling series, underworld series. vampire vs werewolf to awesome.

  • Dog Soldiers was really good until the last 10 minutes or so, when it was revealed that the whole movie didn't matter.

  • Indeed, they don't make 'em like this anymore. ^^ What with all the CGI bullshit. xD

My top three is along the lines of with Dog Soldiers, The Howling, and probably American Werewolf in London.

  • I'm watching this movie right now

  • fucken love this movie.sick as

  • alot of people pass up Dog Soldiers as a great werewolf move but i think its one of my to 3

  • None is better than "The Wolfman"..check out the classic horror trailer and see..

  • The Howling was pretty cool, I just uploaded the Howling II movie poster to YouTube and it's a real gem!

  • These werewolves>>New Moon's "werewolves"

  • top 3 werewolf movies of all time: American werewolf in london, the howling, and now rise of the lycans:)

  • I still liked the original underworld more, but the prequal was actually quite good, for a prequal. Actually, most prequals don't turn out too well, but I liked that one...

  • American werewolf had the better music bad moon rising.

  • This movie was phenominal! GREAT makeup effects by Rob Bottin. This movie and what Rick Baker did in AWIL. CLassic movies. These movies are what you call REAL makeup effects, not this CGI bullshit you have today.

  • Classic - too bad the sequels do it a great injustice.

  • You are so right.

  • @spiderjohns Well, not entirely, some were still good:)

  • Silver bullet. American werewolf in london. The Howling. Badmoon. and of course the Wolfman haha my top 5 .

  • Classic Horror Movie.... besides American Werewolf in London....no they do not make them like this anymore ; )

  • I really like this movie, I saw it 2 weeks ago or something. I recomend it to people who like werewolf movies.

  • 41 sec she look like the girl who got rape by trees in evil dead

  • BADMOON KICKS ASS!!!!!!!

  • The HOWLING IS THE BEAST WEREWOLF Movie ever created. lol I love everything about it and I am a BIG WereWolf Fan. Hope they Remake if but DONT Fuck it Up!!!!!!!

  • I love werewolves, but my favourite werewolf movie has to 1996 "Bad Moon" i really liked it, it was pretty awsome for an old movie, i recomend checking it out! :D

  • Personally my favorite was Silver Bullet. Excellent movie! One of the only movies that actually scares me just thinking about it.

  • I want to see this movie!

I'm just scared that it's too scary.

I saw an american werewolf in London, but I guess that this movie is more scary.

  • Well... speaking as someone who's pretty desensitized and finds psychological horror far scarier than this kind of horror, The Howling isn't that scary. It is pretty damn satisfying, though. Watch it.

  • It certainly is. Its also a mind fucker. Its completley awesome. IF you like werewolf movies, check out Stephan King's Silver Bullet. Its got young Gary Busey and Corey Haim in it. The Howling and Silver Bullet are the epitomy of werewolf movies.

  • The Howling is DEFINITELY more scary............American Werewolf was more of a horror comedy.

  • i dont understand why there r more vamp movies being made nowadays than solid werewolf movies. modern special effects would make the transformations and the look of a werewolf real and really cool looking.

  • i know! i'm a werewolf fanatic. makes me sad the only modern ones we have are ginger snaps and cursed. don't get me wrong i love those movies. i just want more. apparently even with special effects the werewolf is a difficult creature to create. something to do with the human and wolf structure being hard to blend together convincingly. the underworld werewolves are the closest i've seen to kick ass looking werewolves. best transformation with always be from in the company of wolves though.

  • Check out Dog Soldiers. It's a werewolf movie that came out a few years ago....It's awesome!!!!

  • ya i remember seeing it on a list but hadn't really herd anything from anyone if it was good or not. i'll def have to give it a chance.

  • Got the Dog Soldiers on Blu Ray. It kicks ass. Great job, Neil Marshall.

  • Are u going to go see the remake of The Wolfman? I nearly wet myself when i saw the tailer at RZ's Halloween 2 which was an utter disappointment

  • definitely! i was looking up trailers when i saw it and was pretty excited! i'd be satisfied even if it was just a satisfactory movie simply because it's the classic wolfman.

i haven't seen halloween 2 yet. but friends keep telling me it was a disappointment and i just don't wanna believe it. :( i had so much hope. and i love rob zombie. i guess just wait and rent it.

  • @animeredhead809 "Modern special effects" is what makes movies today suck. These movies are superior to anything made today.

  • trailer make awsome films look shit.

im a huge werewolf fan and i had some magor doubts on buying this. oh well i got the film earlyer and have now wached it.

and i thought no movie could out run ginger snaps the 2nd best werewolf movie of all time.

  • what's the first?

  • I'm happy to read there are so many people thinking like myself about The Howling. American Werewolf in London had a great begining and a great werewolf creature, but the story dies a few minutes after the characters are atacked. I think The Howling is far the best werewolf movie ever.

  • Too right. This film is a lot grimmer and darker. The werewolves look pure evil in this and the change from human to wolf is a lot better than AMIL.

  • vampires are overrated, and don't bring that twilight garbage as a factor if you want to start flaming me.

this movie was awesome, i only liked AWIL a little better. this movie had like the longest transformation of all time.

  • Yes, right. I saw it as a child and after all those years it's still scary ... so realistic... And recently I saw the "Dog soldiers" and must admit, it took some time to not to be scared when I walked alone in the forest... Very well done... For Howling, at that time, really beyond-time movie...

  • If you've seen this, you'll remember this line: "let me give you a piece of my mind". Scary, goofy, funny movie!

  • this is the best/scariest werewolf horror movie

of all time and way scarier than Jaws in theaters at that time

American werewolf in London and in Paris aren't Horror movies

    second best is Dogsoldiers

  • ive never seen this movie before but im going to buy it tomarrow, is it really as good as american werewolf in london? and should i consider buying the others 2 and 3?

  • i buy him for 2$.

  • Classic!!!

  • Howling scared the crap outta me when I saw this in the theatres and I agree best werewolf flick. They are doing a remake lets hope they dont drop the ball.

  • Seriously. Remakes have been sucking soooo bad lately

  • Yup. It is very good. I saw all the Werewolf's best movies ( Howling, And American Werewolf in London/Paris). Howling is the best werewolf( the closest to the popular culture) cause he is similar to a wolf, different of the London's , wich looks more like a bear than a wolf. The Paris Werewolf is not like a Wolf but is scary as hell!

  • I remember my parents watched this movie and 2-3 when i was growing up. I was scared out of my mind when i glanced at it. I passed by the living room tv to get some more snacks from the pantry and i saw the werewolf and i was like "fuck that!!! im out of here! " haha

  • Theres only been a handful of good werewolf films. The likes of american werewolf in london and dog soldiers, i admit, are both great, but tended to mix the horror with comedy, and thats why i think this is slightly better because of the edgy and darker atmosphere. The only 1 minor gripe is the look of dee wallaces transformation at the end.

  • Yes, this is THE BEST werewolf movie ever made, it is also my favorite movie ever (not counting anime).

  • What about American Werewolf in London? It's pretty close I'd say.

  • U're right. Even though I didn't say it before, American Werewolf in London is the 2nd. best werewolf movie out there, and it's a shame there are no newer ones, but everybody seem 2 b into vampire/zombie movies right now.

  • Classic horror movie

  • Best werewolf movie ever made

  • Why this trailer show the final?

  • I liked the second one thats my fav.

  • Part 5 Is pretty good

  • one of the very few werewolf movies that really scared me, another would b an american werewolf in paris, the one in london wasnt that gr8

  • My mom can't talk about this movie because it freaked her out so bad. XD I really can't see why, I think it looks a little cheesy myself, but it looks pretty cool too. :3 If I knew my mom wouldn't kill me for watching it without telling her, I so would. XDDD

  • Werewolves are real.

  • think so to :):):)

  • I think you should stay some time in a mental institucion

  • Whats the deal with the smiley face sticker, did anyone else see that?

  • Are the sequals worth a look cause there suppose to be crap, but i liked this one?

  • 2 and 3 are ok...4 is just a remake i think (thats all ive seen 2-3 and 6) but from what ive seen of 6 for your life do not watch it

  • I still call people bright boy to this day.
