  • I live in Sweden, but boy I dream about moving to the US of A...

  • @skrivbok Hope you realize your dream someday!

  • who is playing the SSB in this?

  • @kmalston As mentioned at the beginning of the video, it is the Westwood High School Band.

  • Star Spangled Banner United States Of America

  • i plan on learning this for the 4th of July

  • @jrockluv Good for you!

  • I was more than thrilled to find this!! My church has an annual 4th of July program which I am privileged to interpret. Each year the congregation sings the National Anthem and I always felt as though I "murdered' the interpretation of this song every year. I am planning to practice this every day till then! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • @julesigns815 You're very welcome!

  • you're the best and more precise ASL teacher on here. I would prefer this page to anyone i know (=

  • @TonganPower Well thank you! That's very nice of you.

  • Oh, that's a gorgeous interpretation of the National Anthem! Bravo! :) Thanks for sharing it!

  • @kimberlyjennery Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

  • @kimberlyjennery Thank you very much. *smile*

  • I absolutely love this! many years I have been trying to find someone signing this! This helps me practice for when we do this in our asl V class this semester

  • @Swimming247 Glad you like it. There are several more "artistic" versions out there done by other Deaf such as Ella Mae and Terrilyn, but this version suits me because I wanted something simple that my ASL 1 students could pick up quickly and easily.

  • You did an amazing job at signing the national anthem it has helped me learn it for my asl class that i am taking at school

  • @bmos2339 Awesome. I'm glad you're learning ASL. Good luck!

  • I LOVE YOU

  • @xuxuyoyo LOL. Ummm... thanks.

  • @BYUFanatic i was just wondering is this the normal speed??

  • @ilovesparky13 Many bands will play this song at various speeds, some faster/slower than others. But yes, this is a "normal" speed.

  • Loved it!! Looking forward to starting online classes thru your website for someone on a budget who is going thru surgies which will diminish my hearing even more I am very excited SOMEONE is willing to bring the world of communication to me without breaking my bank

  • Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video! My little sister and I used it to learn the National Anthem so that we could interpret it at a retirement ceremony at the Pentagon this month. I was very pleased to see a true ASL version on here.

  • Glad to know this video is getting good use. *smile* The Pentagon? Very impressive. I bet you and your sister did a GREAT job!

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • Thank you very much.

  • This is beautifully done, I have to say (again). Moving. That is truly expressing the patriotism of this song--even the way you're standing, with your posture expressing pride. Excellent.

  • Thanks! Maybe one of these days I'll try to create a more moving version that dives into the depth and beauty of ASL. This particular version is aimed at ASL students.

  • I'd love to see that version.

  • Beautiful job!! Thank you for sharing. (Smile)

  • Thank you very much! I appreciate the compliment!

    Jessica block 8 :D

  • love how his eye twitches every so often...lol...

  • Nah, there's no eye-twitch. It's just the editing (putting in the background, etc) that makes it looks a bit rough.

  • @BYUFanatic

You are the Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock of sign language...

as Nacho Libre would say..."I looove it...its the bayst"

  • I know! i know it but i have to look to make sure i got it right.
