Kristoffer is a great singer, and i like what he is doing with Ulver, and i can't imagine him being with Arcturus and Ulver if you consider the magnitude of both bands. Vortex", with the first words being opposite elements, the middle initial being the first letters of their common names, and the last word being a powerful circular current of water....( from wikipedia )
the name ICS Vortex is a world play on the name "Fiery G. Maelstrom". The IC part of the name is the Icy since thats the opposite of fiery lol. Vortex's Real name is Simen and thats wat the S stands. Its all a joke really lol :D

Though I like it, I prefer 100 times to Garm on this, even I prefer to Oyvind from Spiral Architect (2002-2004 live member).

They're still great vocals. Vortex has got quite a set of pipes on him. Alas, I still prefer Garm over just about every singer on earth.

His moniker was a bit of a joke to poke fun at one of Garm's aliases, Fiery G. Maelstrom: "Icy S. Vortex", with the first words being opposite elements, the middle initial being the first letters of their common names, and the last word being a powerful circular current of water....( from wikipedia )

the name ICS Vortex is a world play on the name "Fiery G. Maelstrom". The IC part of the name is the Icy since thats the opposite of fiery lol. Vortex's Real name is Simen and thats wat the S stands. Its all a joke really lol :D

Don't listen to this loosers Vortex initials are I for Icy and S for "simen" So ICS responds to "Ice Cold Semen" He was named like that by Garm in joke

any band Simen has ever been in has been pretty good. Borknagar, Lamented Souls, Dimmu and Arcturus. Somone said he was in Code, but they have a big fat message that reads "SIMEN HESTNAES IS NOT IN CODE"
