  • Listen to this, then listen to Nickelback's if everyone cared. I was feeling like I knew this song from somewhere :)

  • Music like this should be mainstream. What is mainstream now should be frowned upon, and not viewed by anyone.

  • @WildManDan15

If it was mainstream you wouldnt experience it as something deep and personal. Let it be relatively unknown. ;)

  • @xinijxt True. Very true. ;)

  • Boards Of Canada, Röyksopp and Four Tet.

Some of the best musicians in history!

  • I just happened on this truly uplifting space and time serenade and came away from the story with a strange sense of something hopeful. Like the microseconds after waking from an impossible dream. The sequence of events and hypnotic muscial accompinament was nothing less than gripping. All I wanted to do was check out what appeared to be NASA images! Who knew?

  • Gotta be one of the best tunes ever created.

  • This is not an imaginary journey to space. ALL HAIL JOE KITTINGER!

  • Diving from those platforms at 100,000 feet... Faster than sound.

  • ebb and flow... eargasmic. TY

  • Kittinger Jump. ftw.

  • This video is so calm! Takes you away from reality. The tides are amazing...<3 <3 <3

The ending (sunset) is taken from a 1973 made film "Crystal Voyager".

  • nice.....GREETINGS FROM ITALY

  • wait ...where did he hide the surfboard?!

  • A Fealing ...

  • fake vid, i saw this on a bond film

  • @Ironandtheshizzelz it's not fake - the beginning is footage from Project Excelsior (google it), from 1960 - which BOC used for their vid. I'm glad they did - it's bad-ass.

  • Most beautiful musicvideo i've ever seen.

  • @AntonDenmark den er jo ikke særlig flot!

  • @nathan2389 well said !

  • @nathan2389

    you are totally right!

letting go emotions is getting free of them.

    acceptance is better than ignoring.

trying to fight or ignore emotions makes people frustrated and obsessed about bad things and feelings.

  • everytime i watch this film im blown away...

by the song...one of the best by BOC...

    the video...

and the story of progect Excelsiour..

  • @sk8guitarest hi, the strings i mean are the orchestral strings that come in around 2.18. Very emotional. I know which others you mean tho. The kind of reverb ones at the start. brilliant piece of music

  • This music is magic.

  • God such a buatiful music :D

  • Fantastic!

  • One day we will all wash ashore...

  • i absolutely adore this band. there is another instrumental band that plays all acoustic you owe yourself to check out, search for "Radium Karmara"

  • All good things must end. Even this beautiful earth.

  • Correct. There is only one thing that is infinite.

  • Comment removed

  • Death.

  • lol

  • To Think

  • i like the fact that you don't reveal which one

  • Nothing physical can be infinite. For something to be infinite it can't be bound by the laws of physics, something human. So yeah, to think.

  • @mwtbell32

Matter is infinite and is also physical, infinities are needed to explain the laws of physics is some cases.

  • This is the most overwhelming music video since afx come to daddy. I know, crude.

  • awesome!!!!

  • Epic. Beautiful. Genius.

  • Sometimes it bothers me that I can't fly, under my own power, without a machine. It's a problem that I will never really solve, it will always be with me.

  • Never say never.

You'll never know what the future might hold.:D

That's how I see it anyway.

  • Indeed...

  • this have the best quality

  • water, be like water, live like water:)

  • I wanna be like water if I can.

Cause water doesn´t give a damn.

  • This song is the first thing I hear when I wake up, and the last thing I hear be fore I fall asleep. I love it so very much.

  • cooooooollllllllllllllll

  • luv it

  • nice! (:

  • The guitar part is so awesome I had to learn to play it even though I don't play guitar

  • I thought exactly the same about dire strait's sultan of swing solo :) But i play it so slowly that it sounds like hotel california solo -_-

  • i also dont play guitar but i think that guitar part is very easy: just bass string and 3 lower strings x 3 times. piece of cake

  • man, I would be so scared, what If i float out into space, that is my biggest fear. the only person in the blackness of space. :( but it looks hella fun

  • i had a dream about leaving earth and going through the atmosphere into outer space. i think this song was playing, but i never heard it before the dream.

    amazing video and tune.

  • this got to be scary but i would personaly wanna try it.

  • I would, not that I like the idea of falling from that high, but I if I had this song playing I would do a halo jump like that.

  • un rayito de sol en mi dia gris...

    hermoso

    quiero volar!!!!! =)

  • Was that chuck yeager? wonder how high he was when he jumped pst info if anyone knows cheers, crazy far freefall

  • No the man's name is Joe Kittinger. This footage is from an Air Force project from 1959 called "Project Excelsior" to test the survivability of humans from high altitude jumps. A lot of what they learned from learned from this project is used in the space program. Joe made 3 jumps, the first one (at 76,000ft) almost killed him. He made two more jumps (the last being the current world record).102,800ft, speeds up to 614MPH, 4:36 free fall and total descent took 13:45. Temps as low as -94F.

  • simply amazing! :)

  • 同意する :)

  • the man formed bubbles in his bloodstream

  • This would be amazing in HD, or even widescreen. (Not stretched to widescreen, or just converted to 720p) I mean full remake.

  • I can't stop listing to this song. I just can't bring my self to stop, it's just that good!

  • mm agreed :)

although it's more of an experience, rather than a single "song"

  • That is true.

  • utterly majestic.

  • great stuff - and i don't give a 'great stuff to much stuff.

    iamarobot

  • i love how "left side drive" follows this song on the trans canada highway EP

  • lol, I can't decide if you were pissed when you wrote that lmao; however, I get your wave dude.

  • This song is just moving

  • Nice Jump! :o)

  • um... all i can really say is favorites lol SOOO SICK

  • genial-----summer,beach,and sun

  • This might be my favorite video on youtube.

  • how can this be bettered?

  • This is so inspiring. The imagery as much as the music.

  • wouldn't change a single note, pretty much a perfect song.

  • Unique.

There are lots of electronic bands around but these 2 guys have an exclusive sound all around.

  • Boards of Canada and Warp Records: voices of the future.

  • well ahead of their time.

  • Lightyears.

  • yeah considering the fact Music has the right (the Cd the track comes off of) came out in 1998

  • my wrong cd it came off "THe Campfire headphase" which came out in 2005....but if you havent heard "music has the right to children" you should definitely check it out

  • srry my bad

  • well ahead of there time.

  • This song just... floating.

  • this video makes me think about love and life. The space, the sky, water and waves hold a lot of strong symbolism, and the optimistic, idealistic sound of the music only adds to the effect.

  • Bonjour la terre ! Delighted for my english I find this video and this music so strange! so trouble! Very very very good vibes!!! i like it very much! It's seems like the french group "AIR" all i need ...

and i dream too about the good trip of the guy in the space, amazing - xtrem trip!!

Thanks for this discovered of this tracks!

  • As profound as it gets in this western capitalist mince-meat world.
