You give honda owners a bad name. While your car is fast you probably spent 5-6k on a swap for a 500 dollar car. Making a sti run mid 12's is 1500 dollars away with a cobb s2 setup. 3-4k could put you deep into the 11's, something a honda couldn't do without a built turbo motor or an expensive all motor setup on your k20.

In retrospect sti's sell used for what 22k used up to 34k new. I actually contacted a company asking how much to build a 400 horsepower turbo motor (block/retainers, the works). It was roughly 11k, add the price of a b16 (which is roughly 2k) and a civic hatch body (which can be bought cheap) and you can have a very nice sleeper. If cost is an issue then a civic/integra can be made faster per dollar then an sti.

Dude, I owned an integra so I mean no disrespect. To make an sti trap those speeds would probably require a larger turbo setup. I feel that a 20g or fp green are ideal due to there spool response (opposed to making a couple more ponies up top). The only real issue is the integra holding up to boost.

the stock turbo can and has trap 113mph in the 1/4mile, most of the low 12sec sti that you will find are still on the stock turbo. If you search you will find a stock turbo sti on here running 11.7 in the 1/4 mile on stock turbo and full interior.

I commpletely agree. HOWEVER, most people running those times are using meth or racing fuel. Most people on pump seem to trap in the mid 100mph range. Also the guy running the 11.7 has an 07 if I remember. Supposively a great driver, under ideal conditions.

Both these cars are local to me, and I've ridden in the white 20g sti a lot (I have a gt35r sti myself)... the STI made 350whp and the integra made 300whp. With the weight and gearing advantage in the integra, what do you expect?

WTF is everyone so argumentative. Honda this Subie that ... both cars are awesome. I've seen both cars boosted doing 9-10sec so neither one is better than the other. These arguments are stupid like the "domestic vs. imports". Of course the Honda won, cheap power ... the STI is probably paying off it's monthly payment. I've owned Subie and Honda/Acura before. Honestly, Subie leans more with the sporty ride but the build quality of the Honda/Acura Integras are by far better.

A 20g sti should put down somewhere in the mid 350 awhp range while weighting in the 3300 pound range. A turbo gsr with a t3/4 should put down in the 220-270 range weighting in the 2600 pound range. The only problem with this video is we don't exactly know what the mods are. I mean it could be an sti with an exhaust or a t3/4 integra running 15 psi.

Races happen all over the place (and probably more then less on pulls). I've owned a gsr and wrx before my current m3 so its coming from both ends. Pulls show the "true" power of a vehicle while racing from a dead heat shows the traction of a car and a drivers ability. Cool race lets give props.
