Ron Paul still calls himself a Republican after all the canidates mock and laugh at him, the majority of the Republican party would never vote for him and the Republican Fox News network wouldn't even allow him to debate. This all started with the straw polls that were conducted early-on.

People in attendance would often say about 1/2 the people were for Ron Paul, but when the results were announced Paul had something like 8-15%.

And, yes, Ron Paul has complained on his website about some of the crap that occurred, especially the way they robbed him in Louisana.

I hosted a large caucus in Washington, and the problem is that the "presidential preference" of the attendees is what is reported to the media, and that means NOTHING! What they don't report on is the preference of the DELEGATES elected to go to the county caucuses next month. In my caucus of 120 people, 41% of the DELEGATES were for Ron Paul, and 8% were for McCain. This is what the people don't hear!! The media is rediculous.

As a precint chairman, I tried to nominate another McCain supporter, but he refused my nomination and the Ron Paul supporter nominated himself. In the end he was our precint's second delegate, and I was our first.

The county conventions are where the battle is really going to take place, and I will be trying to change my co-delegate's mind.

From what I gather in Washington Huckabee was leading most of the night, but when McCain pulled ahead of Huckabee by 200 votes the head of WA GOP declared McCain the winner (no network had), which indicated there was no need for additional caucusing even thou around 15% of vote out.

Paul was also not far behind.

I understand Huckabee is challenging this action. Why would they do that?

There has been absolutely no voting for candidates in Washington State. What the news media is calling votes are in fact what precinct delegates have told the county chairpersons what candidate they may support. The caucus system in Washington State is only 1/3 done. We still have the county and state conventions to go through to complete the caucus. Then Washington state still has the Feb. 19th Primary results to come in. Don't listen to the main (down stream) media.
