@turduckenband dub hop is in example like J-Live - Satisfied. dub must be mainly instrumental with lots of echos. hipstep is much better name ;)

@bourney01 hipstep has been around for over a decade bro. instrumental or heavily laced with lyrics doesnt make the genre. hipstep is actually dnb remixes or flat out mixes of or with hip hop tracks. you can throw an accapella over a dnb track(DJ Hype - Ready Or Not), sample cuts(this track), mix in the entire track(TINIE TEMPAH - FRISKY (MESSED DRUM&BASS REMIX) or simply beat on beat. it doesnt really matter.
