It was not running NOS at the time of this race. It was supercharged/heads/Cam/headers. When it ran NOS...(month's later) we were only able to safely tune 40 hp shot. Which in Florida was enough to create my own atmosphere to compensate for the Humidity and Hot Air. It dyno'd out @578HP to the wheels before true tuning was available.

hes running the stock turbo...i was running 26 psi on my stock psi with a buncha mods and i waxed srt8 jeeps. but i fell in love with srt8 jeeps so i bought onw and got rid of my evo that wouldnt stop falling apart. it doesnt take much to make those go fast. but it also doesnt take much to make them fall apart either.
20 psi is STOCK on evos, not to mention its an evo 8 and assuming its an 03 or 04, the turbo on it is little and has a 9.8 hotside. and with the RIGHT tune, you can destroy a lot with very little mods. just throwing that out there. and yes, i drive an evo.

i dont think its supercharged i think it jus a really good intake becuz they sound a lot alike, and that thing needs a lot of air which causes a lot of suction creating a loud supercharger sound, it says it only has heads, headers, and cam but i wouldnt doubt it being only a air intake but i get mine in a month so we'll see

I let off after 115-118 due to my trap speed! This was before I turned off the AWD. After AWD is off it has a lot more top end.
THe EVO had head work done, Larger Turbo Full exhaust, Intake, Custom Tune... I was in the race... I think I would know!!

First off, this was a highly modded EVO. Stock vs stock the jeep wins also, Stock I ran 13.1
Before a tune I ran 11.4

A procharger is a dynamic supercharger. It is a centrifugal type compressor (turbo-like operation, except driven by belt instead of exhaust gas).

I had the same initial thought, except I was thinking Hennessey turbo. It's supercharged (look at the SC right after Jeep Srt8 on the mods list). I just had to go back and check the mods after watching it destroy that built GTO!

Umm for my fun car, its a Z06 runs consistent low 10 second 1/4 mile times on street tires. Still gets 24mpg highway, and you wouldn't even know its modded unless you step on it.

it has kooks header, B&B full exhaust, Unichip w/ predator, ported polished heads, cam, ASM vortech supercharger @5psi and runs 11.4 in the 1/4 mile. So its already in the zo6 territory

i dont think its supercharged i think it jus a really good intake becuz they sound a lot alike, and that thing needs a lot of air which causes a lot of suction creating a loud supercharger sound, it says it only has heads, headers, and cam but i wouldnt doubt it being only a air intake but i get mine in a month so we'll see

1:24 shows how fast the SRT8 really is, hangin w/ that evo all the way. Its funny cuz bone stock, the jeep is about .3 seconds slower to 60 and their top speeds are basically identical.
