  • 6th february 1952 we marched off the square in blacon camp chester to this very march. We were among the first of the present day army to be "soldiers of the queen" as the king had just died

  • Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians)

  • This music is most of what Britain and what was the empire and still is the Commonwealth, not to forget what Westminster democracy is to this day. From a New Zealand perspective, it is not so much the Queen, but the Monarchy I remember with deep affection.

  • Restore the names of Morant , Handcock and Witton.

  • @34stevearl Why restore their names they were dirty war criminels who deserved to be shot.

  • @mikecasson101257

How about learn how to spell? English much?

  • @34stevearl People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Before you correct my spelling maybe you ought to check out your hopeless English Grammar. "How about to learn how to spell" ?????? :-D

  • @mikecasson101257 Hancock, Morant and Witton were made scapegoats by Kitchener, they did not receive a fair trial, the prosecution witnesses willingly lied to the tribunal and destroyed any evidence that incriminated them, I smell a rat let me tell you, we know that Morant received the orders, we know Kitchener denied giving said orders, and anyway the British had no jurisprudence to try these men

  • @ijolite gr8 scene…

  • The Regimental march ot the Queens Regiment

  • Don't watch this sort of video then if you hate marches.

  • I am Ernest Starvo Blofeld. I'll speak my mind on any subject and there's nothing you can do about it.

  • @OniLunchbox

No, Mr Ernest Starvo Blowjob, if you dislike this music, don't watch it. If you don't like it, there is little point in watching it is there?!?

-one dirty slut on earth is a lot more fun than 72 virgins.

  • @44tyke Pity you didn't go to school sonny and learn of civilization, That is PAX BRITTANICA

  • until you've gotten off of your fat lazy civilian ass, joined the army and been posted out there and have experienced what goes on, keep your fucking opinions to yourself...otherwise do the world a favour and go run headfirst into an oncoming bullet.

  • I love that anthem...it always reminds me of the golden days of the British Army and the Empire

  • Great music, much needed in these troubled times.

The first duty of government is to protect it's people and safeguard it's borders.

What has this government done to this country ? Betrayed it !

  • Islandwhana and Rorke's Drift - Eternal testimony to the Bravery, Courage, Sacrifice, and Tenacity of the Soldiers of the Queen!

    Urraaahh!!!

  • Magnificient. One of my favourite marches.

  • Music like this will never fade and die all the time we have a British army.

Long live the 2nd of foot.

  • It is just a regimental march of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment . Each Regiment has it's own marches - quick and slow. Each Regiment serves under the British Army, so take the Royal Regiment of Scotland, their quick march is 'Scotland the Brave' and The Scots Guard quick march is 'Heilan Laddie'.

What I'm trying to say is that English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh regiments mostly have different marches, but they're all untied and fight together as the British Army.

  • wrong actualy this march is of the queens regiment not the prince of wales regiment.

  • Surely you mean 'united' rather than 'untied' - otherwise 100% on the ball!

  • ofcourse

  • In the 1860's Lord Aberdeen had no problem speaking of himself as Prime Minister of England. Nevertheless he was noted for preventing any erosion of Scotland's unique education and legal systems. He was not alone, nationalism did not mean so much then so people were less sensitive and words were not that important.

BTW up to the middle of the 19th century about half the British army were Irishmen. Because that was where the army was usually stationed and like all armies they recruited locally.

  • dumb cunt

  • I've always wanted to hear the tune to this--thank you SO much for posting! I'm a yank who is terribly proud of her English (and Scots, Irish, and Welsh) ancestry.

  • Sing along -- here are the words: Yes it's the soldiers of the Queen, my lads, We've been, my lads, we've seen, my lads, In the fight for England's glory, lads, Now of that world-wide glory let us sing; And when we say we've always won, And when they ask us how it's done, Then we shall proudly point to every one Of England's soldiers of the Queen! All the best, John (ex Queen's Regiment)
  • its got to be johny beee

  • I'm singing along right now--thanks so much for the words, John!

  • sweet cheers mate, love the songs, love the service, love the country.
