@jdgator95 Are Patriots fans able to take the Subway, or those green street cars to the football games? We have a system called BART over here in Oakland. And it stops right by the Oakland Coliseum Complex where the Raiders, A's and Warriors play. I guess what I'm trying to ask, is if your transit system is just as convenient in terms of your local sporting events.
@Oaklandgirlpitlover1 The MBTA has good access to downtown sporting events, the Green Line stops at the Boston garden where Celtics and Bruins games are held, along with Fenway Park for Red Sox games. As far as football the Patriots don't play in downtown Boston, but in Foxboro, south of it, so you can't get there by subway. During Patriots games however there are special game day commuter rail trains that you can take to the stadium from Boston.
hello i have a question. If your riding the green line you get on at a station that does not have any paying station and you get on the middle trolley of the cars. How does the driver make sure you pay?
Awesome video! Haven't gotten a chance to watch videos much cause I was away. Also awesome catch of the 4 car set! I haven't seen one of those in a long time!
Good to see some footage from a town with no whistle ban. I was talking to a green line trolley operator last Sunday (when there were a lot of single car trolleys out running) and he said there were several breakdowns forcing the crew at the Riverside & Reservoir yards to decouple trolley pairs and send them out as singles.
last one reminds me of the polar express except nobodys yellin at yu to get on

The driver usually makes an announcement that you have to come up to the front and pay.

@jdgator95
That's one big advantage of the T compared to my system here.. nobody gives a shiX of whether you pay or not...

I love the green line shots, its so picturesque. And if you replaced the current cars with some older streetcars it would look pretty aunthentic.
ElevatorMatt 1 year ago
Definitely. Have you seen the Mattapan-Ashmont branch on the Red Line? It looks even more picturesque, plus it uses restored PCC cars from the '40s!
