Yes exercise will help but you may need medication such as Ibuprofen along with it. For those who cannot get to a pool look up some exercises that relieves back pain to. what ever you do with arthritis the secret is to "Keep moving". If you stop you will loose more and more movement. Then it wins. So keep moving.
Dude it is a muscle issue. It's called muscle imbalance. Your spine sits on your pelvis. When your pelvis is tilted it causes your spine to sit at an improper angle. hence the deterioration of your disk.

I also suffer from lower back pain for a very long time and it has had an effect on my taekwondo and gym ie can't do deadliest or other exercises were I have to bend my back.one problem I get is I have to keep rotating my torso left and right wile squeezing and pushing forward my lowerback to get it to click and I constantly do it day in day out.havnt been to a doctor about it because I'm lazy in that sense but it's defiantly my lower disc in my spine :) hope this helps oh and I like your video

oh man that really sucks i don't have any backpain but i did once for about a week after i messed up on a heavy(atleast for me) deadlift and i could barely move around for the first couple days, so i know that backpain can be very painful but ull find a way through it cause ur awesome

im having problems with my foot and it is really hard to walk. i also play soccer and my coach is my dad and he makes me play so it hurts really bad! i have a condision in my heel where the museul becomes irritated or swollen and when i walk it basically mashes it which caused major pain and wopling. backs are more important though because they control your body. More luck to you than me :)

I hear you man I been dealing with my back pain for over 12 years now. I just gave up on all the Doctors I have seen. The last one I seen was a surgeon claimed I was to your for Surgery whats that all about 30 to young ??? I have D.D.D from my L1 to 5 also I have 2 compression fractures in my T11 &12 I get the pain down the legs. I have also noticed my legs feeling a bit weake also now days I just deal with the pain dont take meds gave up on them also dont work also the epidurals. This SUCKS!!
Hi jon, have you tried taking cod liver oil capsules. This should help alleviate the pain in the long run! I have been taking it for over a year now and it has helped alot!
yeah i have some issue like that i have osteoarthritis .my cartilage between the knee and pretty much on all joints are teared which make my bones grind on each other . It did cause pain but i didn't get much because i'm 14 and i have a pretty good immune system . But i did took cod liver oil tablets from Seven Seas it did stop the most tiniest bit of pain i recommend it for u cause it is also good for good health. Also try Swimming it helps.
I also have back pains, upper part mostly and also the neck. I had a sikness when I was about 18 which was not observed by my parents which resulted in massive injuries in several disks, mainly in the upper part. I know how painfull it is and I hope that you get better ;)
I have really bad lower back pain too and swimming definitely helped. I also tried yoga too and I felt better after that, dunno if it'd be as effective with you since it's not a muscle issue and more of a spinal problem. =\

Look into spinal decompression. There is whats called an inversion chair, you hook your ankles to it and you can hang upside down for like 10 min. It really helps to take the stress off your lower back and helps to decompress your spine which alleviates the pain your feeling. Also work on your core muscles, which Im sure are a in a lot better shape than most of ours. After my car accident I am a firm believer in chiropractic care, so check that out too.
hi there my girlfriends mam has all the pains and that witch you have and i asked her what could a guy like you do as i told her what was wrong with your back and she says a tempa matress will be perfect for your back she has one and she would neva go back it takes all the pain off your back and helps the spine stay in place to have a much better night sleep. hope you look into this and get better. mramsey123

Yea when i was 15 i injured my back badly in a football game, i had two twisted vertebrates and a pinched nerve, we went to the chiropractor and he took x-rays and found out that i have a minor case of scoliosis so my spine wouldn't heal correctly, on top of that i had a pinched nerve in my neck and a jammed spine. its been 4 years now ive been doing the stretches and everything but my back is still just as horribly painful as ever and it still keeps me from doing certain things, it sucks!
Well I don't really know what mine is, but my doctor says just to touch your toes 20 times a day for ten seconds each. This way it the bones get stretched and any bone out of place can wobble back
Hey Jon I feel your pain. I was in my friends car when we got T-boned on my side, after the accident I had lots a pain, but I thought it was just soreness from the crash. The chiropractor showed me an explained I had a left curve that started on my T6 disc and and ended at the bottom of my Lumbar. Long story short he straightened me out. But he diagnosed me with chronic back pain, so I'm stuck with this for the rest of my life I'm 19. Good luck with your vids, your new channel, and your back. :)
Hi Jon did your doctor describe sciatica? Did you have an MRI/CT scan done? Did your doctor recommend physiotherapy treatments? Worst case perhaps would be an operation or steroid injections but you are not at that stage yet!
go to a Chiropractor. mine have always helped me with my back problems better then any MD. Calcium suplement with vitamim A for stronger bones. And at your local store a supplement for healthy joints. The chiroprator will tell you the same thing i did. Slow down try Tia Chai<<mabye spelled wrong:), for muscle strenghting. Get better soon.
I think with all the stuff you said you should add a bit of (medicated or simple) oil massage on your body.
You are prescribed for swimming and do regular exercises because your muscles should be strong enough. This condition get worst when you became older. To overcome it you should do regular exercises.(Don't do jerking and heavy weight lifting).
I have a slipped disc in my lower back, and it hurts like crap sometimes. I walk a lot which helps me, but doing actual lower back exercises at the gym also works wonders. good luck with your back.

swimming is an all around body toner. I always lose weight when I swim. It is good for you and your joints. swimming seems to tone more then build muscle for me anyway. If you like it, go for it and trust it feels fantastic just try keep up at it's hard on your lungs if u never swam . It will help your back and help u stay fit X_n
And in addition there is no surgery they can do to fix it so like you, I am in a position where I am too young to experience so much elderly-like arthritis pain. And the Fibromyalgia doesn't help. Just be lucky you don't have to carry a baby with that back like I am and did with my first son. I am going to go to a pain Mgmt clinic who specializes in long-term chronic pain. Did you get that recommendation yet? Hope your sleeping gets better!!! Mine sucks too.
I have had back pain since i was about 10. I remember I was on a tire swing and the rope snapped and I fell back first onto some roots of a tree that were sticking up. My mom told me to suck it up and finally when I was about 21 and married my husband made me get an see a Doctor about it. An X-Ray revealed I broke my tailbone and it fused back together to the left and is putting direct pressure into my muscle there. And I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia on top of that.
I got back pain also but its because i'm sitted all day long at work, then i gotta stretch up sometimes... i guess thats normal anyways. Good luck with that and take care Jon, it looks really serious!
i had a stress fracture in my L5 and L4 last summer and i wore a back brace for 4 months. back pains sucks but dont mess around with back problems at all and listen to your doctor. id stop lifting for the rest of your life and just stay in shape by cardio exercises.

Hey Jon. Sorry about the back problems, I suffer from them too. A year ago I helped with the reconstruction of my room and I ended up hurting my back without knowing it. A few months later and a lot of shooting type pains in my left leg and tingly feelings in my knee, I went to see my doctor. Dr said that I have Sciatica. Things that have been helping me BESIDES anti-inflammatory medication and muscle relaxers are: getting a new super firm mattress and yoga. It was the best thing I ever did.
i got hit by a car back in the day and it messed up my back, yet no broken bones =). my dad has 3 deteriorating disks in his lower back. he got Cortisone shots and they helped out a hell of alot. have you talked to your doctor about them yet, o did he mention those?

I have spondylolisthesis (look it up... not pretty) and yeah I know back pain xD But the way i deal with it is to lay on my stomach on the floor. Cold Packs work wonders.
i have to check my back also ive been sleeping on the floor and getting back rubs helps me. but for reals swimming is good for it it works for me and you'll be hungry after you exercise in the pool do 20 min warm ups in the pool and no i don't mean warm up the water with pee lol :) any way warm-up and then do 2 laps rest 2 min the 2 more that's helping me a lot i was 380 before swimming and now im at 350 good diet, back rubs and swimming is the best for that
Oh god you have a compressed disk? That's really not good Jon. My dad has a really bad compressed disk. There is surgery for it, but it has a high-risk to make it even worse or even cripple you, and it's very expensive and takes weeks of recovery. I'm sorry Jon, but everyone I know that has a herniated disk (I know a few others besides my dad) say it's a life changing thing.
Hey Jon, hope for the best with your back. Although swimming won't exactly get you buff manly, I know what it did so much for my health back when I was on the swim team in high school. It really helps to tone your muscles all over your body, and improves your cardiovascular system. One thing I would also recommend is that you get a good body moisturizer, because the chlorine in pools (especially at gyms etc. where there is more) can strip your skin of moisture and make you dry and itchies!
Might want to see a Chiropractor, I've had back problems before (fell of stuff while doing stupid stuff. xD), but going to the Chiropractor for a year or two re-aligned my spine and got all the kinks out, as well as rebuilding the weakened discs. :D
Back pain ----- Pffft. Go see you local practitioner who practices dry-needling therapy!

Do hyper-extensions and flying superman, they help :) it strengthens your back.
Instead of lifting weights, do pull ups and push ups... they do fine too :)

i would think what he meant by a hard mattress was not something as hard as the floor, cuz fo me tht worsens back pain... maybe just not a really fluffy mattress? idk. dont hav much experience wit this stuff haha

Yea when i was 15 i injured my back badly in a football game, i had two twisted vertebrates and a pinched nerve, we went to the chiropractor and he took x-rays and found out that i have a minor case of scoliosis so my spine wouldn't heal correctly, on top of that i had a pinched nerve in my neck and a jammed spine. its been 4 years now ive been doing the stretches and everything but my back is still just as horribly painful as ever and it still keeps me from doing certain things, it sucks!

Well I don't really know what mine is, but my doctor says just to touch your toes 20 times a day for ten seconds each. This way it the bones get stretched and any bone out of place can wobble back

Hey Jon I feel your pain. I was in my friends car when we got T-boned on my side, after the accident I had lots a pain, but I thought it was just soreness from the crash. The chiropractor showed me an explained I had a left curve that started on my T6 disc and and ended at the bottom of my Lumbar. Long story short he straightened me out. But he diagnosed me with chronic back pain, so I'm stuck with this for the rest of my life I'm 19. Good luck with your vids, your new channel, and your back. :)

Hi Jon did your doctor describe sciatica? Did you have an MRI/CT scan done? Did your doctor recommend physiotherapy treatments? Worst case perhaps would be an operation or steroid injections but you are not at that stage yet!

go to a Chiropractor. mine have always helped me with my back problems better then any MD. Calcium suplement with vitamim A for stronger bones. And at your local store a supplement for healthy joints. The chiroprator will tell you the same thing i did. Slow down try Tia Chai<<mabye spelled wrong:), for muscle strenghting. Get better soon.

You can try yoga and continue it if you like.
It is a severe condition.
I would tell you not to take any painkiller because the pain may increase in the due time. And you may have to take penicillin(avoid it).
If you spend a lot of time on computer then change your chair in which your body gets straight. Neither it may get worst.

I think with all the stuff you said you should add a bit of (medicated or simple) oil massage on your body.
You are prescribed for swimming and do regular exercises because your muscles should be strong enough. This condition get worst when you became older. To overcome it you should do regular exercises.(Don't do jerking and heavy weight lifting).

I have a slipped disc in my lower back, and it hurts like crap sometimes. I walk a lot which helps me, but doing actual lower back exercises at the gym also works wonders. good luck with your back.

swimming is an all around body toner. I always lose weight when I swim. It is good for you and your joints. swimming seems to tone more then build muscle for me anyway. If you like it, go for it and trust it feels fantastic just try keep up at it's hard on your lungs if u never swam . It will help your back and help u stay fit X_n

And in addition there is no surgery they can do to fix it so like you, I am in a position where I am too young to experience so much elderly-like arthritis pain. And the Fibromyalgia doesn't help. Just be lucky you don't have to carry a baby with that back like I am and did with my first son. I am going to go to a pain Mgmt clinic who specializes in long-term chronic pain. Did you get that recommendation yet? Hope your sleeping gets better!!! Mine sucks too.

I have had back pain since i was about 10. I remember I was on a tire swing and the rope snapped and I fell back first onto some roots of a tree that were sticking up. My mom told me to suck it up and finally when I was about 21 and married my husband made me get an see a Doctor about it. An X-Ray revealed I broke my tailbone and it fused back together to the left and is putting direct pressure into my muscle there. And I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia on top of that.

i had a stress fracture in my L5 and L4 last summer and i wore a back brace for 4 months. back pains sucks but dont mess around with back problems at all and listen to your doctor. id stop lifting for the rest of your life and just stay in shape by cardio exercises.

Hey Jon. Sorry about the back problems, I suffer from them too. A year ago I helped with the reconstruction of my room and I ended up hurting my back without knowing it. A few months later and a lot of shooting type pains in my left leg and tingly feelings in my knee, I went to see my doctor. Dr said that I have Sciatica. Things that have been helping me BESIDES anti-inflammatory medication and muscle relaxers are: getting a new super firm mattress and yoga. It was the best thing I ever did.

i got hit by a car back in the day and it messed up my back, yet no broken bones =). my dad has 3 deteriorating disks in his lower back. he got Cortisone shots and they helped out a hell of alot. have you talked to your doctor about them yet, o did he mention those?

i have to check my back also ive been sleeping on the floor and getting back rubs helps me. but for reals swimming is good for it it works for me and you'll be hungry after you exercise in the pool do 20 min warm ups in the pool and no i don't mean warm up the water with pee lol :) any way warm-up and then do 2 laps rest 2 min the 2 more that's helping me a lot i was 380 before swimming and now im at 350 good diet, back rubs and swimming is the best for that

Oh god you have a compressed disk? That's really not good Jon. My dad has a really bad compressed disk. There is surgery for it, but it has a high-risk to make it even worse or even cripple you, and it's very expensive and takes weeks of recovery. I'm sorry Jon, but everyone I know that has a herniated disk (I know a few others besides my dad) say it's a life changing thing.

Hey Jon, hope for the best with your back. Although swimming won't exactly get you buff manly, I know what it did so much for my health back when I was on the swim team in high school. It really helps to tone your muscles all over your body, and improves your cardiovascular system. One thing I would also recommend is that you get a good body moisturizer, because the chlorine in pools (especially at gyms etc. where there is more) can strip your skin of moisture and make you dry and itchies!

Might want to see a Chiropractor, I've had back problems before (fell of stuff while doing stupid stuff. xD), but going to the Chiropractor for a year or two re-aligned my spine and got all the kinks out, as well as rebuilding the weakened discs. :D
Also, Swimming is awesome!
