TKD is something you can get a black belt in just for shits and giggles. it can take you all of 3 years to get one. it is useless, its all flash. hardly any power behind it. once you make one full rotation you have already lost 50% of your energy from the kick. a 180 kick is very powerful if you keep one leg on the ground to create the chain. TKD= pure bullshit and false security

Power kicking twisting your hips into the kick and hand conditioning, not to mention there are many (ManY) tae kwon do schools that use hapkido for self defense (which works wonderfully). The problem is that much of the techniques you would learn aren't emphasized enough (again depending on the school) or the most things people are used to seeing are all demos.

Unless you are toying around with your opponent, you might be able to use this kick.. But the thing is, this is obviously a flashy kick and most kicks executed in air with long hang time are usually flashy kicks...

If you hit with a 540 (on a person), either you kill them, or they tense up and your momentum stops and you hurt yourself very badly.

Oh ok. That kinda confuses me sometimes. Normally I just go with, 720 is the hook, 540 is the round. Cause for me, it's 360 round, you're facing forward (at the end), 540, you're facing backwards on one foot, and 720, you throw a hook. So I guess you're right.
if you can do it then film it and load it up for everyone to see otherwise shut up and just enjoy the skill.
