Who ever asked about the sheet music its in tommy igos book you can get it any where. It is for beginners as well so if your advance dont bother. Oh and bro, you use alot of elbow when you play. Id cut that out it can cause sholder problems in the future. Its all in the wrist, you must of missed the first part of the igo book.

superscatch, very nice job on this one. The fill you chose (assuming you came up with it) fit the song really nice. And for those of you that don't know, the book doesn't include the fills. Students have to come with them on their own.

Has this book helped anyone excel as a drummer? I really wish I had stuck with drum lessons because I had just started this book a month before I had to quit. Hopefully, I'll be taking lessons again soon and continue where we left off.

good job overall but the groove you played is much different than the actual groove.. try splitting though eighth notes up between the ride and the hats.. play downbeat quarter notes on the ride and upbeat eights on the hats.. great job tho

The grip is called French, commonly used on Timpani. It's perfectly fine on the wrists.

It was developed by Timpani players in order to isolate the fingers, the wrist doesn't naturally want to move up and down in French grip, Many a drummer has developed forearm issues from forcing the wrist to move in that position. However, since it is so useful for utilizing the fingers, many drummers develop the habit of remaining in French even when in would probably be healthier to switch to American or German. Everyone's got their own style though, some things work for some people...
