@1066gull Agreed, it's basic foundations of a fantastic drama, let us know the characters, let us begin to love them and care for them, make it all happy, then after we've been introduced, as there was also alot of new things to be introduced to in Series 5, then he begins to play with emotions and situations etc. I cannot wait :D I have faith in Moffat too!

@1066gull I felt that Series 5 was not dark enough, it seems that most of this episode is just right, except the very end which is too dark.

Hey that suit he is wearing is the suit from The Impossible Planet/ The Satan Pit. I remember he takes it off in the Tardis, maybe thats why he is using it here..?

This episode was so good :) They are so good, they can make anything sound scary. Just dripping water sounds pretty terrifying! Or is that just me.

@LegoDaleks Actually this is one of the best episodes ever. I dont understand how this can possibly be compared to a soap when its based on mars, with an alien trying to wipe out people. Im guessing your a classic fan that hates any sort of emotion in doctor who, huh?

@JadesVidz Emotions without basis, without any real character intros in the entire 60mins! The title reveals its limitations in the sci-fi world. In the soap opera brain: sci-fi = space, aliens, mars - mars = face, martians, water. The plot is especially simple to make room for the interaction/dialog of the characters. Well done in Midnight, but this one is very lacking in any substance. This is to be expected as this is a special.

Well I loved this ep, far better than the end of time! I think tennants acting in the last scene is superb.

But if you dont like RTD (other than midnight) then do you like moffats series? Amys choice looks briliant!

That last bit "you die" was good. And DT is brilliant always. But come on... this is the EXACT SAME aesthetic as we were given in the episode with the sentient sun (Martha as companion) and the one where we met the Oooooood. I wish DT could stay another season. But I'm ready for new management.
