i managed to save everyone but Thane. is it possible to finish the game without losing a crew-member on the last mission ?

yes its completely possible. just follow these steps 1. Upgrade ships armor cannon and shields 2.Gain the loyalty of everyone ( I didnt have jacks because i chose miranda during their fight but thats ok) then follow this order in how to send your team during the mission Vents: Legion 1st leader: Garrus Escort: Mordin Barrier: Samara/Morinth or Jack 2nd Leader: Garrus again then take anyone whos loyal with you to the final battle. do those and you should get everyone out alive

yes it is. make sure you do all the loyalty missions. upgrade the normandy's weapons, sheilds and armor. Use Miranda/Garrus for leading the second team, Grunt/Mordin to get the survivors back to the normandy.

Tali/Legion to for the tunnel.

Lack/Samara for the anti-bug field.

I used Thane and Garrus in my assault team at all times.

it's a different ending for everyone, your decisions in the game alter the ending, maybe none of your crew mates will die. maybe jack will die, maybe grunt. it depends only on your actions.

Alas, I envy those who had all their crew members survive. I told Legion to go into the shafts, they all survived, and yeah, I did every mission, got every upgrade for the ship, and had all the Loyalties. So when it came to choosing a leader for the "Distraction" part of the Suicide Mission, I chose Thane because he's sneaky and I thought he could get the job done. I was wrong, he got shot right when the doors where closing and died. ;_; Meh Thane is dead *sobs* then lost Samarian after boss

well i got them to survive in my first playtrough, all i did was get all of them loyal and make all the upgrades for the ship. You have to get enough paragon or rebel points to avoid losing loyalty when two of your teammates confront each other.

@SupportShotgun yes Just gain everyone's loyalty, get all ships upgrades and get all the upgrades for the team, go to the omega relay as soon as your team gets captured, Also (I was a paragon Final mission) I told legion to go in the vents. Garrus to lead second and distraction squads. Shields I used Samara. And used Grunt for escort. This how everyone survives. Just take your time in the game search for resources DONT RUSH THROUGH IT OKAYYY!!!!!!

i did the same thing making garrus leader and smara as shield except i didn't open grunts case and sent jack to escort the crew but she died either way because she didn't have my loyalty . but i gave cerbarus the tech.

hopefully in the next one i kill illusive man and take over cerbarus LOL!!

@SupportShotgun I think you need everyone to be loyal, and upgraded like crazy. I mean like GOD-LIKE crazy.

I think you'll only be able to keep everyone a live if you have transfer a Paragon Character with Paragon Ending from Mass Effect 1. They did say that If you transfer a ME1 character, it'll alter the story more.

No, it's not that. You have to have their loyalty and upgrades, and properly choose the appropriate person with appropriate talent for each task.

That is not the case, was renegade with a dash of paragon all the way through ME1 and ME2 and everyone lived on my first try.

Paragon/Renegade status don't matter. You have to have a loyal them., get as many ungrades as you can and not make stupid choices once the mission has begun

@Cenafan21 I think they only show the squadmates who are most loyal to you in the ending,the others are somewhere else on the ship.

actually she survived. she just isn't here because of her loyalty. one coffin is for jacob and the other for that doctor from mass effect 1, letting her go back to normandy by herself was a mistake.

conclusion: jacob and miranda died. loyalty has nothing to do with anything.

if you know the story in advance i think you could do that. i gave jacob the suicide mission to go alone into the pipes, he died, and i don't know what was mirandas job. if you give your most important jobs to your most important crew members. they should survive.
