  • 28 years later, and we're still enjoying this.

  • "She is too rough and i am too delicAte...:"

  • Morrissey = GENIUS!!!

  • Doesn´t it hurt though when they throw roses at him?

  • I really understand Morrisey in this song, like the dissapointment in the opposite sex sometimes - it´s such a universal feeling

  • she wants it now and she will not wait, but she's too rough and i'm too delicate.

  • This song is about a gay man who is frustrated by a girl's constant advances.

  • Give in to lust, give up to lust, oh heaven knows we'll soon be dust....

  • Johnny looks like Bronson Pinchot during this gig.

  • No matter how great Joice is, he's reputation as a great Smith is lost for ever because of the law suites. But i think Morrissey and Marr are not very fair saying their not really Smiths. Thats just, i dont know why they did that...

  • there all the smiths to the fans

and its the fans that matter really.

what there doing or thinking now doesnt change what was.

  • dude if I was getting what 10% of a bands total earnings, out of a 4 man band, and I was a member since the beginning, I would sue to..I

I mean, Joyce and Rourke were getting a combined 20%, and Marr and Morrisey together got a little less then 80% combined...(I assume the managers get a cut...)

thats bull, I mean Its awesome to see Rourke settle out of court but, heck if Rourke didn't and went with Joyce, Joyce wouldn't have lost face.

  • Morrissey and Marr are the songwriters! They're the ones that make you cry, or make you laugh! Rourke was a very good bassist, but Joyce was a lame drummer. Rumour has it that Marr even showed Joyce what to do on the drums!

  • regardless they were still there for the entire existence of the band. They could be the worse players ever...but they were still in the band for the long haul.

  • But at the end of the legend, they sue their band! Hardly fair is it?

  • Cause they were screwed out of a total of 30% for close to 15 years. While Marr and Morrisey made millions off of residual record sales and compilations.

  • I adore the Troy Tate version of this, which Marr remastered (or rather mastered fullstop) for 'Sound of ...'

I hope so much he remasters the entire Tate album, not to mention the four studio albums and the compilations.

    Genius.

  • yes, the tate version is truely version.

especially morrissey's voice, one of his best.

  • Andy oh Andy, u r so adorable, and so talented. Damn.

    #1 bass player!!!

  • I loooove when he smiles at 3:16

    :)

what a charming man he is!!!

  • I too lost my faith in womanhood

  • I lost my faith in manhood. So were even.

  • Sounds like the makings of a great couple. XD

  • God, listen to that Rickenbacker.

  • this is just one opinion but I believe to answer the question of the curious chap I feel its about how pretty girls can break the hearts of men who never get over it and possibly commit suicide over rejection? maybe being to literal but I think so

  • Can anyone please explain to me the term "pretty girls make graves". I dont get what he means. They are digging graves or what?, it makes no sense to me. My english is limited, can someone help?

  • they/women hurt(easily).she wants sex,but he doesnt want so fast and then she is with another man real fast.and her stupid smile shows her superficial character

  • a reference from kerouac's dharma bum. If you don't know who kerouac is i suggest you start to re-assess your life.

  • thanks for the info, as for re-assesing someone's life, i bet that drunk kerouac needed that more than you do

  • "pretty girls make graves" was in reference to how kerouac perceived women as the direct cause of death. and yeah it's from kerouac's the dharma bums.

  • thank u i appreciate the info

  • You're actually right. I'm impressed. People really talk some bollocks on YouTube. I normally correct them.
