  • Wow, this is really beautiful. Reminds me of Scandinavia as well.

I would like to visit New England sometime in my life. It seems like one of the best parts of America, where the people also are educated and courteous.

  • New England reminds so much of Scandinavia! I have been to Vermont, NH and Maine and I felt so much at home. This spring Massachusetts, RI and Connecticut are coming up. Yes!

    Micke from Sweden.

  • 6 people are from Texas

  • Yeah know I'm from Maine and when people ask me where I'm from I say I'm from New England. Maine is my native home but New England is my country.

  • I was a flaming liberal until I visited New England! Here is my impersonation:

"duh I have enlightened views on feminism that the rest of the country hasn't heard before. Also, being rude, condescending and sarcastic are everything!"

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag are you on drugs? :S

  • This place is truly astonishing. If I ever get a chance to visit the US this would be the first region to visit. I truly hope I can live there someday. Truly one of the most beautiful corners of the world. So much natural beauty and such rich, interesting history....you guys who live there are really really lucky :)

  • All too often I find myself caught up in the mundane routine of daily living here, but this video thoroughly reminds me of just how thankful I am to live in this most sublimely beautiful and peaceful region of the world. It's a genuine blessing.

  • Why dont the new england states federate into a state of new england? ive never understood why that never happened

  • @andyisapro We're still each different enough in our own eyes. Southern New England vs Northern New England, taxes and safety laws, et cetera. I love New England dearly, but treasure my state's autonomy.

  • @andyisapro It actually did happen once during the colonial period.....the Dominion of New England lasted from 1686 to 1689. It consisted of NH, MA, Plymouth Colony, RI, CT, NY, and the two NJ colonies.

  • stunning clip, l went there once on holiday , just beautiful and l am going back there one day. we did the 6 states and topped it off by staying in boston , it s my favorite place l ve ever been to . l m from wales and it reminds me so much of the welsh countryside as well as england..... nice people too

  • Very much like England i doubt i would get home sick there

  • we really need an anthem

  • Born in Boston, Massachusetts. Lived in NH until age 7 :) Such an amazing and beautiful place. I can't wait to move back to New England for college/university.

  • If I were to move away from my beloved Old England, it would be to New England of course =)

  • MA girl!

  • New Hampshire Sucks

  • connecticut isnt part of new england anymore they can become part of new england when the stuck up rich bitch assholes who live in that state decide to cheer for the home teams instead of that new york bullshit

  • New Hampshire is were i live :D

  • Fomer Massachusetts boy!

  • Nice vid. I'll admit the bucolic and historical places are realy something but the city people suck. I've lived here all my life and I want to go where the people are as friendly as the landscape. _Not MASS

  • RI born and raised

  • I'm born and bred New Englander but I was stationed in England for 4 years in the service in the Midlands area Upper Heyford between Oxford and Coventry. Funny when I was over there I missed home but when I'm in New England I miss the UK. They are so much alike.Love both

  • God's country

  • iF I HAD THE CHANCE TO MOVE THIS IS WHERE I WOULD GO:)

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • would love to live here love the history:)

  • Looks like a glorious Home from Home. Any Brits moved out there? pvt me.

  • @codownni

I've personally never lived there, but I did spend a month in CT, was lovely.

  • I fine New England, New York State, and Pennsylvania to be the best places to go for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween. Especially Connecticut and Massachusetts for Halloween. I love the Northeast. California shouldn't be looked at by foreigners as American Culture, they should look at the birthplace of America and the Colonies, New England!!

  • I was born in Nashua, NH and raised in Boston. I now live in San Diego, California.

I fuckin miss New England!! California is overrated... plus I miss having seasons...

  • Awesome video, great choice of music too.

  • I miss new England so much.. Rugadh agus tógadh i Connecticut mé, living in the wesht of Ireland now. Ah boy it's more like NE here than in the west of America I think.

    Go raibh maith agat!

  • New Englander born and bred transplanted in Arizona. I miss home so much. I am a New Englander before an American.

  • @MegaP1972 Yep, me too 31 years ago. I still miss it. I'd love to own a second home out there soon. :)

  • I am a massachusetts baby and im so proud to say that i live in the most beautiful region of the US. Beautiful video.

  • Greetings from California. I'm a native New Englander, and I miss it everyday. So blessed to be from such a place. A place of unparelleled beauty, a place where people respect each other, a place of personal and individual freedoms, the place that gave birth to the most cherished and honoured values we as Americans hold near. A Californian would never understand this.

  • I have lived in Connecticut my entire life and would never move. There is just something about New England that keeps me here. And fall is the most beautiful time of the year. Halloween in New England is the best.

  • Looks beautiful, I want to go. vermont looks gorgeous.

  • OK, I am sitting here watching this video from Florida. I am going home to New England in 5 months after 16 years in FL. Wow, did this video make me feel homesick like never before. It is a GREAT video collection of pictures... 2 thumbs up!!!

  • New Englander here from MA! i love new england, especially MA & NH !! ;)

  • hello terrmys what are the trees in 3.21 the white leaved ones there beautiful.

  • @theworldofguitars

Those are Birch trees, one of the most beautiful trees in the world.

  • They should change the name to 'New – But Not Quite As Good As The Original – England'.

  • I am a native New Englander, too long gone. Thank you for this magnificent tribute to a region that is both beautiful beyond description, and the cradle of independence and enlightened thinking.

  • I love living in Massachusetts!

  • @tarn1968 well pesonally being English I think it's pretty cool and sort of odd but I'm glad that one of the most beautiful parts of America has a lot of British names

  • new england seems peaceful and sophisticated not like mex

  • I really hope to go to New England one day, this video is fantastic.

  • Wow looks beautiful i'm very much a beach person too can anyone tell me which of the states have beaches? or which one has the best beach if i move to the usa i need the whole package :)

  • @theworldofguitars rhode island

  • Damn i'd like to see New England one day.

Oughto iv'e never been to America i think New England would be the best part.

From these pictures much reminds me of Europe.

And iv'e got a thing for these old lumber houses.

  • As an Englishman living in America - this so much reminds me of home!

  • Parts of it remind of Scotland

  • The Nimrod variation, Sibelius, and Grainger piece are my few favorite works of all time. What a GREAT video.

  • As a native of MA, and having traveled over much of the New England area this is just so beautiful a well spent 10 minute journey. Poignant. Thank you.

  • ma is ok, bit boring sometimes but nice

  • There are so many beautiful places in the North East that even a life time is not enough to see them all...God has been gracious to us in the East...

  • LEAFERS!

  • Comment removed

  • Unreal video, I love it. For those of you who have not been fortunate enough to come to the northeast, make it a priorty, and give yourself a lot of time to travel. I higly recommend autumn.. there is something about autumn here that could make me cry tears of joy.. really is breathtaking. Oh, and go sox (yankees suck, yankees suck, yankees suck)

  • love to go ther

  • God, MA is gorgeous! So much history, too. Too bad about their politics, though. Poor John Adams is rolling in his grave.

  • Yeah, MA is loaded down with Neo-Marxists & Socialist drones who love to give their hard earned dollars to the State.

  • Dear TerrMys, thank you so much for posting this gem of a video! I love both the scenes and the wonderful choice of music. It is very very tasteful and beautiful! My hat is off to you!

  • New Hampshire - checkout the 'free state project'

  • AMEN BROTHER! New Hampshire is the greatest State in the Northeast because it isn't loaded down with Neo-Marxist drones!

  • come to Mass!!! ♥

  • beautiful. but francescovalino92 must not have seen california very well. california has every type of landscape, scenery, cities, rural, mountains, dunes, beaches, country, farmland....yeah its expensive, but for a good reason.

  • lapazolivia, there is no other part of the country which can even compare to New England. No doubt, there is majesty in the purple mountains out west and Napa Valley is very beautiful. But we have some intangible, wordless beauty out here that is just a notch above the rest; i.e. have you ever smelled a New England Autumn? Sailed in Maine in the Summer? Underlying this contention though is the fact that we come from a beautiful country, with each region contributing its own wonder.

  • Boston is gorgeous.. period

  • To me, New England represents America's virtues. That is, nodding to the past (architecture) while moving forward in ideas, with an authentic feel.

Wouldn't trade living here for anything (close to Boston and NYC ftw!)

  • As a European, this is my favourite part of America; it's the perfect compromise of our respective cultures. I don't know why everyone talks about California. When I went it is just like an extension of mexico but more expensive

  • Yeah, lots and lots of Socialists in New England, except for New Hampshire where we LIVE FREE OR DIE!

  • New Hampshire is great.. so is liberty... but it's a crying shame there's not enough dollars in the schools to teach goons like you to use sociopolitical jargon appropriately. What's a good book worth up there.. 'bout a rick?

  • @francescovalentino92 I've been waiting for someone to say this... just in normal conversation. Finally - I agree with you completely.

  • Is it true that the country where you are from is becoming more Muslim by the moment, and anti U.S. along with it?

  • I am actually not from the country that is mentioned on my profile - I have never even been there. I am a global citizen, but they did not have the right answer to click on. I lived in Upstate NY for 8 years. Right now I am residing in Europe and I love the nature here. Again, this is just MY VIEW - I love European trees and landscapes.

  • ? what is a global citizen? I have not heard of that term?

  • What you are, is a frigging loon! Bleagh!!!

  • Stunning and no wonder New England is a must visit destination for Europeans. This is a great video !! Thanks

  • Beautiful video, too bad this political debate is overshadowing it. Many thanks to the author for this.

  • I love New England!!!!! Plus the music is fab too!!! xxx

  • your funny!!!

  • no one gives a shit about u and your uneducated comments you strange, sad, racist little man!!!! go back 2 hillbilly land!!! REDNECK!!!

  • One of the nicer versions of Grainger's Colonial Song I've heard. Do you know which recording it is?

  • I've lived in New England my whole life, and am proud to be able to call it home. I grew up in both MA and RI. Though i'd like to move to a northern New England state later in life. And we love our sports teams!

  • Wow!! It really does look like a mix between England and America, like the person below me said. Beautiful video :)

  • This is what New England looks like? Wow. I only recently heard of it, despite living in England lol (England from Britain, not NE) does anyone know how it got the name New England? From looking at this video though, I gotta admit, it looks like someone's taken British things and American things and put it all together. It looks amazing.

  • When pilgrims came from Europe in 1620 they settled somewhere in Massachussetts, and they called the place New England, because the majority of them were English.

  • RustyChopper is correct. The majority of the people that moved into this area were English. As a colony of England, it became "New England." The same happened in other areas, becoming "New France" and "New Holland," etc. I think that "New England" is the one name that still remains in high usage these days, though.

  • which state of new england is the most beautiful to visit?

  • Nah New England is what it should be called. It reminds me a lot of Europe. New England is the closest thing in America to Europe. New England is the most beautiful region in the United States to me. I live in crappy Arizona right now and dream of moving to New England one day.

  • I am so glad I had chosen booking a cruise next year to New England. It´s absolutely delightful. I didn´t know what I would be finding there. Only had in mind foliage in autunm (I am travelling early october), but there´s much more. It´s stunning

  • @keltic2 How was your trip to New England, if you don't mind me asking?

  • What a beautiful place, the autumnal colours are really quite special. You New Englander's should be justly proud of your corner of the world. Look after it well!

  • I made some comments on this vid quite a while back without expecting to go there anytime soon.

But I got the chance to visit 3 New England states this Summer. They were amazing, and they felt far less foreign than places like New York and Orlando did (not that they weren't great too, but you know what I mean).

  • i think this songs in the film beauty and the beat lol

  • Just re-read your stupid message, Morris. U might consider sparing the innocent from reading your idiotic comments by following your own advice & begin using the PM option. I enjoy banter, Morris, but not in public. Unblock your PM & comments page so you & I can continue our exchange in private. That is, if U have the stomach to leave yourself open to comments from others, as well. U blocked it months ago after receiving blunt messages in response to your vitriol. You're quite a piece of work.

  • No one left any comments, only you. Stop telling lies and try to grow up little boy

  • They're under "comments", retard.

  • Oh your blocked now so if you want to carry on do it in public, then be my guest

  • Good riddance to bad rubbish, Morristwat.

  • What is this fuss all about? The world doesn't hate America. I'm from England, I don't get annoyed at a whole country just because one twat behaves a certain way - if I thought like that, I would have started World War Three with France by now! lol

  • Why can't everybody just get along? The UK and US are allies. Both nations need each other and cooperation from their people.

There are completely unacceptable comments and behavior from both sides, British and American on YouTube. We are stuck with each other.

The fact is, these two nations share more in common with one another than with any other in the world. It's not nice to insult your friends.

  • Yes, you're correct as always, YogaNate, but sometimes it's necessary to kick rude mongs in the backside.

  • But I didn't answer your question, Morris, not that you deserve any sort of response because you're a pathetic little stain on everything that's decent, not least of all Britain. It is my pleasure to know more than a few Muslims whom I like. Privately, many of these admit that the Islamification of Britain (Europe & North America, for that matter) is indeed the intention of Islam. They keep silent for fear of reprisals. Now, go away, otherwise I'll begin to think your interest isn't platonic.

  • wow! i see why they called it New England! the similarities are astonishing!

  • not nearly as beautiful as the TRUE/REAL England :)

  • damn right its not

  • england is nice, but not as colorful and too overpopulated.

  • some one is still bitter over the revolutionary war

  • Do you even realize what you're saying? "New England" is just a name. It's not like it is intended to be an imitation of England.

  • haha I know that!

    it was just a joke....

(but England is still better XD)

  • Come to the US and pay New England a visit :) You might be surprised by what an amazing place it is.

I'm not saying good old England is bad, or worse that NE. I know it's a fantastic place and we Americans could learn a lot of things from you. But I'm pretty sure if you went to NE you would be pleasantly surprised.

  • america God has truly shed his grace on thee

  • Coming from "olde" England,in fact, old Hampshire,I find the images beautiful, yet strangely familiar.Connecticut,in particular ,seems just like the old country. Some of the wilder areas look like Wales or Scotland.

  • i have been living in new england (western massachusetts to be specific) since august of 2003 and i must say autumn is the best time of year in this region!

  • God bless Her Majesty.

    This video sickens me.

  • While I recognize that our mother country gave us our language, laws, and heritage, I think that the United States is far too independent to bow to the graces of the old country.

Couldn't have said it any better.

  • and Green Leanings racism is just wrong.

I too am against the sillyness that goes on but not against people ever.

  • ampallang, what drivel are U spewing? What connection does your inane comment have 2 this vid? If U're referring 2 my comments 2 YNate, U fail 2 get the point. A major cultural shift is being imposed on GB due 2 liberal immigration laws. It's almost as bad in the US. Point is, moron, that Britain is about 2 be consumed by a Muslim majority & eventual Sharia; the US have Hispanics, both legal & illegal "immigrants" who don't speak English & DON'T WANT TO. English is not your native tongue, is it?

  • Change the system and more good things will progress and bad things will dissolve, A Beutiful country and fascinating people indeed, Thanks.

  • ampallang7, "Change the system & more good things will progress & bad things will dissolve." Fetch me a bucket. What misguided & insulting drivel. The "system" has worked perfectly well 4 centuries. What hasn't worked well is the attitude of countless foreigners who refuse 2 assimilate & demand that WE conform 2 THEIR customs. I don't think so. Why do they come 2 the UK/US? Oh, it's for the handouts. They're also outbreeding us. It's time 2 stay home more often & bonk 4 England & America.

  • I will do my DUTY!

  • Maurice, I didn't vote for GWB either time. In fact, I'm unable to vote for anyone in America as I'm a British subject. As for your moronic claim that the world hates America, I suggest you concern yourself with the imposition of Sharia law in GB and direct your energy into remedying THAT. Americans are Britain's greatest ally and the only country who would come to our aid without hesitation. Mind your manners and your own business; you give Brits a bad reputation, you little stain on Britain.

  • I did expect a vestige of eloquence in your response but I will have to remain disappointed. I have to admit that you are good at personal abuse but I care not what you think. I stand by my views after all doesnt the US believe in free speech? As you love the US so much please stay there. When it comes to manners I suggest you should amend your own. Oh and spare me the poisonous emails, I have nothing but contempt for them. Oh how many Muslims do you actually know?

  • Spare me your drivel, wanker. I say again, U are a shabby excuse 4 an Englishman, if U are English. Upon reading the remarks Youtubers left on your comments page, it's obvious you're a chav of first rank; NOT ONE friendly comment there. I used your PM 2 spare TerrMys & others from reading your idiotic, tangential comments which have NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS VID. Get a life, mong. Also, mind your manners & mind your own business; U might keep some friends, if U have any. BNP, bitch. Get ready.

  • As I said on another of TerrMys' vids, America really ought to come home to the Commonwealth.

  • I don't think so. We divorced England once in 1776 and since then we have never had any regrets.

  • Having lived in the States for nearly 8 years, I have observed that many Americans are "closet Tories", some suggesting that returning to the Commonwealth is a good idea. Personally, I think it a good idea as this would better preserve an Anglo-Saxon identity, by which I mean language, jurisprudence and every other positive values we enjoy in the US, which I can guarantee are British in origin.

  • While I recognize that our mother country gave us our language, laws, and heritage, I think that the United States is far too independent to bow to the graces of the old country.

THe Crown is the reason why we parted our ways to begin with, and I believe that most Americans wouldnt be apt about having Her Majesty The Queen presiding over the White House.

I love our Constitution and our system of government. It works. However, it's the people and the leaders who ruin American democracy.

  • At any rate, YogaNate, it's highly improbable that America will come home. It's interesting to note that the Queen prepares the PM's address to Parliament every year and is consulted on matters concerning the country, but the monarchy doesn't wield the absolute power it once enjoyed. The monarchy is the one unifying force which people of all political stripes can rally, especially during difficult times.

  • And God bless Her Majesty.

The UK probably has a closeness to the USA over any of it's Commonwealth partners. We need no formal organizations to declare our special relationship. Ajnd push comes to shove, I bleive the British would choose their trans-Atlantic ally over Europe. And I am sure that Churchill would quite agree.

  • We're on the same page, YogaNate. As long as Britain remains British and America remains American, the world is safe. I don't believe America can stand alone without Britain. It works in the other direction, of course. I'm concerned that both Britain & America might disappear thanks to lax or unenforced immigration laws. That is, Muslims in the UK (Europe, for that matter) and Hispanics in the US. The things which unify us are slowly disappearing. You're a good fellow, YogaNate.

  • These pics are stunning. I'm going visit New England some time. Especially Maine (i'm a stephen king fan!)

  • Don't you 'live' there" You should get out more, or maybe come see for yourself. Jealous much?

  • Mong. (for zenkite)

  • Fantastic vid. Greetings from old England to New England. All the best.

  • New England is where the Old World meets the New World. Home to the Puritans, Quakers, Pilgrims, and Congregationalists. The location of some of the finest universities in the entire world--Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth, and Brown. The birthplace of Ben Franklin, Paul Revere, John F. Kennedy, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Edgar Allan Poe, and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Site of important historical events such as the Salem Witch Trials, Boston Tea Party, and the First Thanksgiving. Shear beauty.

  • yoga, forgive me if im wrong but wasn't benjamin franklin born outside of the us?

  • Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1706. He was a Founding Father and the first Ambasssador to the country of France, our oldest ally.

  • meh... its beautiful but its somewhat boring here. still love it though haha

  • STOOPIT zenkite

  • New England is indeed a beautiful place; look after it because we want it back

  • lol

  • It's so beautiful...

Both the song and the land. I'm british and I wish all of britain still looked as pure and untouched as this.

    Thankyou.

    (25,000th viewer! Woo!)

  • Come to North Yorkshire and its just as good as New England but perhaps we don't have the wonderfull weather that they do

  • the uk IS beautiful, the only problem being over poplation

  • i dunno ;) its the climate that determines the plant life and suh and the similarities would suggest a similar climate if Yorkshire does indeed look similar -never been to Yorkshire myself-

  • Thanyou very much for this, brings back some great memories of our New England trip in the Fall of 2006.

  • Nice video, the landscape looks like northern Europe.

  • new england looks alot like rural england

  • I'm so .... puh speechless. It's so irreal, so unreal, Godcrafted

  • Words cannot describe the beauty that music and nature can produce, very well done.

  • I love NE, except the whole liberal nutjobs thing. Vermont is cool though.

  • Thanks a bunch. I am SOOO in tears right now. NE is my home......altho I live in Fl now. But I will always miss it. Thank you so very much. I love that you took the time to make this vid for NE lovers, like me.

    Very grateful to you.

  • Beautiful video, Id love to have a trip over from England to have a look around.

    Kev Hull Yorkshire.

  • I stumbled over this vid cause I looked for C.Saint-Saens and it took my breath. And than I saw my own countrys beautys and must say ... the Lord has blessed us all with one heck of a world. Nice vid, great job done.

  • thank you! it is lovely

  • Prachtige film + muziek! Great!

  • And when I say "Stawbery Banke" I mean "Strawbery Banke." *wince*

BTW-Nice selections! (Of both music and photos!)

  • I was searching for one of my favourite classical songs--Jupiter--when I stumbled across this. I watched it because Jupiter was played for my home state! Whoo-hoo, New Hampshire! I even recognized a few photos! (Doest mine eyes deceive me... or was that Stawbery Banke?)

  • colonial song = best classical song ever

  • i agree. it's such a beautiful piece of music.
