Great video! - could have been improved by explaining how impossible it is for a steel structure to collapse without the use of column breaking explosives - as a building designer, it is easy to forget that the layman does not understand the strength of steel framed structures - I explain to people how dropping 20 floors from any height would not collapse the entire building, but would likely only damage around 5 floors on each side of impact...great presentation..
Euler calculations show that columns of the dimensions used in the towers would not fail due to buckling over a length of one storey height, but would instead adopt a compressive failure mode
The discussion of core columns by position is excellent, in my opinion. That includes the information about relative proximity to elevators, and relative core column strengths, including observations on where weaker columns stood longer.
It's by far the best collapse talk I've seen, due to the step-by-step detailing of the process.

@sykes37 Well...I understand them, cause this is quite heavy stuff to debate. ;)

A very good presentation with a lot of great observations. My only doubt is the relatively small debris pile left in the whole of the `Basin area`
With all of those columns tumbling down there should have surely been a much higher pile of tangled beams etc.
Remember that kids game `Pick up Sticks`
You hold the sticks in a vertical stack before releasing them to fall into a pile..
WTC - 110 floors collapses to around 3 floors high, doesn`t make sense to me.

4:15 - 4:21
"[for WTC 2] The first volume to be crushed was the volume between the 80th and 95th floors"
this was before intact mass below impact zone was acted upon. there is only one explanation.
4:57 - 5:03
"are we going to let that stand? are we going to just shrug our shoulders and walk away?"
not this person.
thanks to chrysaor911 and thanks to Gordon Ross and others in the international community that support continued investigation of 9-11-01.

Great work in bringing it to youtube.
