  • just seems like a big dream ! maybe not all of this could be reality ! but saying that ... Dubai was a shithole 10 years ago !!

  • does anyone know if this will ever get built to its full-scale original plans? if at all? cause from what I hear this stuff isn't going to get built... in our lifetime at least. Its a damn shame this place looks like it would be sick as hell!

  • It's 108 degrees there today. Mild compared to the usual temp for this time of year. Imagine going to an amusement park when it's 122 degrees out.

  • mmmmmmm

  • no matter how big Dubailand may become, it will never have that same magic feeling that Disneyland provides.

  • HAHA i will be taking my kids here instead of Disneyworld!

  • few parts of dubailand has been complete but still not open.

  • Largest entertainment complex in the world, largest hotel in the world, largest observation wheel in the world, theme park with most roller coasters in the world, largest amount of theme parks at one complex in the world, etc., this is going to be amazing!

  • @philipman2000 they show no sign of canceling this project. so they must have money.

  • Six Flags Dubailand will shatter the record of 17 roller coasters, which is currenlty held by Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio

  • @sporeplayer100 i will doubt that. each coaster cost between 10 - 30 million depending on the size and with six flags just came out on file chapter 11 . I don't think they will invest in Dubai for the time being and the project is on hold that also goes for F1 X theme park, Legoland Dubai, universal and the marvel theme park which all on all hold for indefinite

  • Im delighted to say, having worked in the middles east for many years, that the dirty, horrible, corrupt, primitive bastards who inhabit this pit are broke as fuck and massively in debt and everything on this vid will never happen. GOOD, they are scum.

  • you guys are wrong dubai is etting money again i dunno what they did they did something and they solled something and then they got the money for everything

  • brittany murphy ;)

  • I'd love to visit but I'd b stuck eating seafood n vegetarian food :P Sounds like a fun place to visit.

  • @nworb Oh, you'd be stuck eating vegetarian food? What a fucking shame, you spoilt son of a motherfucking bitch. Of course, a proud American like you doesn't care about innocent animals getting tortured brutally, eh? Oh, well, at least you're never going to get a girlfriend and have a sad life. :-)

  • I highly doubt that this project and/or many other projects in Dubai get completed. It all looks nice and beautiful but in the end you have to pay for it and Dubai is going bankrupt very quick! It would be cool to see all the projects completed, but good luck Dubai on getting all the financing that you need to complete these wonderful marvels!....GOOD LUCK!!

  • no my friend you are mistaken

do you have any idea who is actually the top head of this project and pretty much every project in dubai

the multibillionare who pretty much owns dubai and they may be going bankrupt but theye are still the future city and there are more millionares and billionares in this city than there are in other country in the world im not arguing im just saying the truth

if you dont even believe me watch piers morgan on dubai 98% of dubai arent affected by the recession..

  • 3:17 talk about rubbing it in other countries faces.

  • and 3:41 WTF

  • they are jumping the gun way too quickly..... their hearts are in the right place but damn yo they are not thinking of budgets they can afford....or am I wrong?

  • my friend

the billionares and millionares of dubai have nothing to worry about

at the end of all of this theyll still have billions left lol..

  • oh they can afford it. they have ALOT of money, thats cheif oil areas over there.

  • Is this park already open??

  • lucky me i live in dubai wohoooo!

  • I was wondering, since Dubai is in a Crisis is the project on hold for now?

  • Most of the skyscrapers are done. Most of the 23 or so theme parks are being constructed, from 6 Flags to Sea Word to Universal Studios. The workers have worked 24/7 since 2003.

  • its like a mini city with all games aand funnn ya it is vegas number 2 lol

  • @AKxx313xxAK it's not vegas number 2, but there is a road within Dubailand the same as Vegas only 4 times bigger

  • Ok boys..... this project is DEAD. I repeat dead. Even their website was pulled off.

Any good model makers and brochure designers here...? ;) Let's make projects like this and ask people to invest in it... some idiots paid USD 2.2 M for the penthouses...

  • Dubai is now bankrupt its as simple as that i said for years this would happen!!! greedy sheiks wanting more and more! its a place of over indulgence on the grandest of scales! the rest of the emirates will be paying this lot off for years to come!!

  • Comment removed

  • i guarantee it will be scaled back to nearly nothing. they cannot afford to furnish the burj dubai building as yet. i think dubai needs to calm down and be happy with how it is now

  • This is DUBAI guys everything is real

  • Amazing!

It's hard to believe it's real. It looks like something from a science fiction movie.

  • Work has stopped for now. Will probably be finished by 2014.

  • insanity. HOw does it make economic senses? too much money made from crude oil that somehow lose their rationality.

  • 107 miles long ? are they sure 107 miles ? how is it possible ?

  • My parents know a guy who designs some building stuff there or something? Lol, I dunno where he works, but he designed something.

Would love to go, when it opens :)

  • more stuff I will never be able to afford.

  • I got a great idea! Lets build the worlds tallest building and then build a model of it down the street and make it the 5th tallest building in the world. Haha thats a great idea

Akbar! And lets build exact size copies of the other tall buildings around the world. Ha ha. Good idea Hazshmek.

  • My dad is was working on this project before the economic recession and he said that till now he talks to his old work mates who still work there and they told him tht theyre slowing down now but there are plans to speed uo the project completion in the future

he said alot of stuff about the engineering of the place but thts the part i got

  • i was being sarcastic

  • Daddy, its not big enough

  • Looks like Vegas

  • the funny thing is is if the world comes to an end in 2012 and all this gets destroyed lol :P

    jk jk

  • right on :P

  • @philipman2000 What is the first song in this video?? It's an awesome beat.

  • .................

  • because it's so big and there are 7 different worlds , and it's 235 km and it's gonna cost 235 billion aed , so get your facts right before calling people lazy !!!!!!!!!

  • rey619mysterio56 <<< get your facts straight you ass hole !!!!!!!! , in 1989 dubai was nothing , and they didn't start in 1989 u idiot they started and announced in october 2003 , and it was expected to see completion some time between 2008 and 2010 but then the decided that there gonna make it bigger and larger so thhe whole dubai land is gonna finish in 2020 not 2030 you idiot , and even some things will finish in 2012 and 2011 and 2010 , and a world already opened in july 2009 .

  • fantastic!!

  • that theme park will be as twice the size of Disney world

  • this was just wishful thinking. Most of the project is now cancelled or on hold.

  • what songs is this?

  • theyve been building since 1989 and they said it wood b dun in 20 year a hello its 2009 it shood b dun but those damn lazy arabs r too fukin lazy so theyre on half way done right now but i give credit to the arabs for doing thisn 107 mile long theme park with 121 coasters hahah gunna crush every park when finished when its 2030 ill b over there with my kids ridin all the rides and stayin there for a month whoooo cant wait till its finished

  • Wow!! I am so going!!

  • when i went there they said that Dubailand would be twice the size of Birmingham and would take twenty years to build once it started

  • Thats something to look forward to!

  • why taipei 101, twins tower and hong kong building in dubailand??? 3:17

  • my friend livs in dubai

  • yeh cus we can all afford to go there haha you need to be a millionaire to live in dubai!

  • ooooooooooohh ii cantt waiit

i livee in dubai and they hav been working on itt for agess but stil no progress made :(

  • wow. i noticed on some pictures back in the early ninetys dubai was so horrible (economically) and the US was thriving over them now they're thriving over us and my mouth just drops at the sight of the new amazing projects i hope that one day i can go visit the amazing wonders that it has. Its just so amazing! im dying to go over there especially to dubailand and to hydropolis!

  • there gonna build a replica of the eiffel tower which will be bigger than the real thing, i guess dubai isn't having any problems with the recession. so i think they should top rubbing it in that they have so much money!

  • DAMN! Whatever we do, Dubai does it better (Except for Thorpe Park, nothing can compete with that!)

  • doesn't look like something six flags would do . wheres all the huge coasters ?!??!?!?!

  • well I live in dubai and can say only a small part shall be owned by SF. The rest is owned by other companies for example legoland owns a spot but most of it is tatweer. I think they own most the parks, malls, hotels and water parks

  • ok dude i'd hate to say this but most of you guys are just getting mad because this masterpiece isn't going to be in the U.S , i mean come on now?

  • 0:41- what the hell is that?! It's so freaking cool!

  • If this dubailand project is really true I will really kill my self (first im going to visit there)!

  • im turned on

  • lol by the music

  • My parents know a man who is currently working out there. I'm not too sure what job he is doing, I think he's designing stuff, but I dunno what. He said that he'll take me there to see construction ^^

    I can't wait.

  • when DubaiLand is built i shall be going there

  • you have now seen where your gas money is going

  • Again, i will say this. DUBAI DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH OIL TO MAKE A PROFIT ON. THE SHEIKH OF DUBAI ALSO DOES NOT BORROW OFF THE SHEIKH OF ABU DHABI (which has all the oil). THE MONEY COMES FROM BUSINESS, TOURISM AND EMIRATES AIRLINES

  • By the way dubai (part of United arab emirates) is the fast growing financial capital of the country...the oil of UAE is what the country runs on mainly...since oil is an exhaustible resource...the sheikhs of UAE are making dubai one of the most tourist friendly places in the world so that the country does not go bankrupt once the oil is depleted and can continue thriving well on tourist income as a replacement...hence all these attractions...so yes that is actually where your gas money is going

  • The sheikhs of Dubai never had enough money until the small pocket of oil in their territory was discovered. The emirates hardly work together, they are essentially different countries, in fact, they were 38 years ago! They never borrowed off Abu Dhabi. Dubai did not develop with Abu Dhabi's future in mind. Only Abu Dhabi will go bankrupt if the oil runs out, because they have the vast majority of the oil

  • Sounds like someone is a hater.

  • meaning? I LIVE there, I am trying to dispel his myth that his money is going directly here. In fact, it goes mostly to Saudi Arabia. Oh, when you say gas, do you mean refined petroleum/octane/petrol or natural gas?

  • @JMKBDXB i live in dubai and there still planing on building it, should be ready by end of 2011. stop with the jelousy

  • @lolaxian Aaah good. I was afraid they were going to cancel Dubailand. Of cousre not all the project are going to be complete by 2011.

  • @Xenomorph237 The project is currently on-hold, but the companies developing it will endeavour to make sure it is completed. Currently open are the Dubai Autodrome, Al Sahra Desert Resort and Global Village, which has a fun fair containing about thirty rides and attractions.

  • the al bawadi project is just too much.

  • They promised the first phase done by 2010,but just look at the area, only a few projects (like Universal Studios) are currently being built.

  • WOOO I LOVE DUBAI, I GO THERE EVERY YEAR. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!! My dad has bought a house on Palm Island Jumeirah! :D

  • hello

I am from india and not imagine how I love Dubai and one of my suños is going to Dubai and I want to give me more news from Dubai and digest that I SIES truth that canceled the construction of hidropolis and other large buildings.

    thanks.

  • why would you build another burj dubai. silly silly.

  • "Bigger" but not "better". Walt disney world and every other Disney park around the world is magic, this is just for money.

  • Do you think that diney world is made for "fun" ?

Everything is just for money, it rules the world, especially in your country

  • Yeah just for money, you go free on your birthday, free if you stay in a hotel, free if you work there, the food is pricey but so is in other theme parks, just by signing in you can get a chance to stay in the cinderella sweet in the castle, something which could cost 1000 or more dollars. And Disney deosn't rule the world,if it did Six flags,Universal, and Seaworld would all be bankrupt, which they're not, they're doing very well. Get your facts straight before you make a stupid comment.

  • @rackas321: Its pricey because Disney has its problems. Today, people spend their money elsewhere.

Universal, WB, Disney, all the same. Western media. You adore disney? Its fine with me.

Who rules the world? What is your problem? Do you think dubai rules the world? The Emires are totally dependent on the US- facist gouvernment and its policy and their support.

Well, I have been to dubai several times and I felt fine there. If you don't like the video, don't watch it^^

  • I know that,Disney is made by humans which are not perfect they'll have to pay for many many things and like I and you said people spend money on other parks. I don't have a problem with Dubai or dubailand, they both look amazing, which is why I watched this vid, because Dubailand looks amazing. The only reason I started this is because peope said it would beat Disney just because of it's size.Disney has it own catergory which it can't be beat at,but Dubailand will make it's own and please in that.

  • hahahhaha you'r right haha

  • I also hope theres a theme park called Hooker Land. I would sure have a great time over there.

  • Because you can't have sex with a woman, unless you pay?:S

  • Will they really build all these? Mighty pricy if you ask me. However, I think it would be cool to visit such a dream land. You are right, US just dont have what it takes anymore.

  • This has already surpassed florida, wayyy passed. Sorry USA you just dont have it anymore. Most of the projects have been delayed, not cancelled.

  • It's wonderful, but it will never surpass Florida in the hospitality dept.

Yeah the "eyecandy" factor is tremendous. It will easily pay for itself. Culturally, it cannot match the congeniality that Walt created.

This time it's not "location, location, location". It's "people, people, people". Happiness can be bought, but soul cannot.

  • Dubai = fun place to live :] There is soo much to do there to be honest, and dubai is just mad looking now XD Although maybe 3 problems

1: TRAFFIC AND ACCIDENTS! god knows how many ive been in :P

2: HOOOOT (thank u for ski dubai :P)

3: Millions of laborers (that i feel bad for) staring at your mums, friends and such.

Not to mention they canceled half the stuff that they were gonna build like hydropolis, and many other huge buildings and such.

  • World money crisis????

    Are you serious?

  • Dubai is crazy, buildings are growing like mushrooms....but its damn boring, boring, boring..... you have to spend money even to see a smile.

  • 2012 would be the best time to get there!

  • yes it would!

actually, im planning to go there on that year.

  • I think this is waste of money!

  • Guys , I live in Dubai now, and I have been in most of the world...Dubai is the future ..TRUST ME...I know what I'm saying...!!!

  • how does dubai look like now?? like....to this day??

  • uqe increible, si esto se va ahcer, sera una maravilla del mundo, sin duda alguna, los arabes tiene muho dinero por eso pueden darce estos lujos, lastima que no todos pueden hacer esto.

  • thats crazy!!! you see that roller coaster at 2:13

  • Dubai, the world's largest amusement park including 'Restless Planet', the world's largest shopping centre and the world's tallest building, all within walking distance of each other! Does anyone want to be on the 164th floor looking over 700 metres down?

  • Cant wait to go!!!!!

  • rofl man, florida is going down!

  • Florida will remain the most popular tourist destination EVER.

  • Doubt it.

  • Flordia Will Because There is A Rumor Many Dubai Projects Might be Cancelled Now!

  • honestly, i can't fathom how amazing this place looks.

  • if dubailand is ever going 2 be build... florida will loose lots of money. tourists will now go 2 dubai instead of florida and florida's makes its most money from tourists

  • not really you kno beacause most people cant afford to go to the other side of the world its gonna cater to mega rich people

  • it will be built. They've already started on sports city. and for coaster fans. Universal studios park has started with the terraforming of the land. As I know someone who works with them I will be going to the celebration party 1-2 weeks before the opening and be allowed on some rides. Six flags is currently in design mode

  • I cant wait to leave the states and live in dubai as an Emirates Cabin crew. I swear the city and skyscrapers looks like Crystals in the desert.

  • geez stop comparing Dubailand to Disney =/

the news and info on the internet only compared THE SIZE, not the features or wtv -____-

dubailand has maaaaaaaany stuff, and is NOT only for kiddies =/

  • Dubai just takes a step forward, the envy which is so typical for humanity is only a tractive force in the development of architecture, as it always has been, takethe cold war as a near-present example. I think that Dubai is doing something good because it dares to be diffrent, it dares to take financial risks for the sake of human development. A step in architecture regardless of where the object is built is also a step for the entire humanity and its thinking.

  • i agrreee, totalllllly. wot i really appreciate is that unlike other arabic leaders, the prince cares, cares about the wellbeing of his people. i really want go there.

  • I have doubts whether or not this will be economically viable in the long run. It looks like it will require a massive amount of visitors, not to mention all of the energy and human resources needed to sustain such a massive themepark. From a North American perspective, visiting Dubai seems out of reach for the average family, especially now as the cost of travel has increased exponentially. Its almost 2000 dollars for a return flight for one person.

  • its nice

  • When the park, sports complex, office park, apartments and condos are at full capacity I hope they thought about the traffic. I only saw 2 clover leafs and I don't think the one round about I saw is going to cut it.

  • hmm with 100 billion dollars the US government purchases weapons of warfare whereas Dubai spends 100 Billion to make Dubai Land, and many other land marks that Dubai is known for. Jeez the difference between the USA which focuses on destruction and UAE is that one created beautiful things and the other is focused on destroying things

  • Yaeh fuck USA, now the fatasses are jealous because Dubailand will be bigger than disneyfuckland

  • you mean all the oil money can buy all that stuff?? I am curious please tell me...

  • actually dubai isnt that dependent on oil anymore. Thats why they are making these thing for growth in real estate and tourism. Oil only accounts for 6% of their GDP

  • no its not from oil money.Only 5 % of DUbai GDP is from oil.

  • its nice but i still disney worlds got the magic this place will look very cold

  • dude dubai land isnt only dubai land it has marvel land and disney land and even six flags and i think thats better than only disney land :D

  • So theyre combining every monument ever made, every dream ever thought up, and just clumpping them all in one place?

Good Luck, if they build it i would go there... somehow it seems like a bit too much, but hey they did say it would cost 100 billion to build, which sounds about right...

  • My parents know the guy who designed it.

  • Why are they taking things from Disney? I watched their promotional video and there is a lot of stuff from America that they took. I honestly think all of this is going to fail. Its to large for the world at the moment. There are not enough people with enough money to venture to Dubai and visit 45 different worlds and malls and visit 2,000,000,000 square feet of space. It just wont work.

  • Dubia - The New Center of the New World, The New Babylon, The Greatest City Ever built.

    And it will destroyed....

  • By that definition, the US should be preparing to fail pretty soon. And learn to spell, its Dubai, not Dubia.

  • USA does not fill that description, nor the source I'm referring to, Dubai does. Either way, the US is on the verge of falling too, yes indeed. And quit bitching about one spelling mistake.

  • No been to disneyland it's geared towards little kiddies.

  • and remember the UAE is only 36 years old

  • i think they will finsih every single project by the end of 2015 or 2020

  • y wont they build everything at once and y do they have 2 wait 5 years? and i didn't c the disney one. i guess i didn't look close enough. and wy dont they open up the parks that r finished right now. and where r the water parks? AND HOW DID U GET THAT VIEW? and when r they going 2 open it up?

  • the faster they build it the more money it caused and they can't open the 'finished' sections until they make sure everything works and is safe.

  • 3:00 man that looks like it could get in history!!

  • I wanna go to Dubai.

  • i hope disneyland dubail with dubailand if not to make acrossed street to disneyland dubail

  • Muhammed Disney

  • i have been in Dubai ..:-)

i have never seen soo many nice cars in my life :-p .. you sould go to dubai someday

  • there enought land acrossing dubailand disneyland resort dubail WILL BIGGER than dubailand long live disneyland!

  • Oh lookee, it's Durka Durka land! I see they want to make it walt disney world with skyscrapers and flying carpets. Whoo hoo!

  • I smell something burning

Can't believe some people still think their country is the best

    Dubai- city of entertainment, fun

and far more modernized than any other country in this world.

    City u havn't dreamt of.

  • i thought the city would be more futuristic

  • well it'll be more futuristic.

    world is moving fast. right?

  • yeah, we will have come a long way since the beginning

  • but one day a comet could hit and destroy every thing which i hope it wont happen in our lifetime

  • but one day 10 suicide terrorists could steal and inject themselves with a super biologically engineered smallpox then spread it at international airports, which i hope won't happen in our lifetime

  • This is very easy for small young prosperous countries. And how much lasting historical architecture does Dubai have. These are modern buildings not built with the future in mind (by that I mean 100+ years). Great architecture looks good after any amount of time, I don't think that will be the case with what is being done now.

  • looks like dubai is planning to own other countries.

  • Hmmm, last time I checked, Dubai wasn't a country

  • oh yeah,its a city,their country is United Arab Emirates.that's what i know....

  • lol yeah well kevin why boast about your expenses no one gives a s***

  • we're going to dubai for our summer vacation next summer....we're rich we can afford to go there =]

  • lmao easy there u poor faggot

  • not until you see how rich they are over there that you'll never consider yourself being rich again..

  • oh, and they're ripping off most of Tokyo DisneySea.

  • Soo... pretty much they're just ripping off Disney and Las Vegas on a huge scale. Just glancing through the video, I've seen the Wonders of Life and SPaceship Earth from Epcot, Space Mountain, Walt Disney's original Epcot design, the entrance to Tomorrowland, the Luxor from Vegas, NYNY from Vegas, and that's afetr browsing for about 15 seconds. I really doubt this place will have half the detail the models have.

  • Universal studios is also building in this area..

  • my mouth drools over the whole fucking site! God I so have to go there!!!

  • no way is that going 2 happen i live right next 2 were thts gna be built in arabian ranches

  • It's ripping off Disney and has used their ideas in may of the pictures you see here. Expect lawsuits to follow if some of these ideas are made into a reality.

  • what's the name of the song in this video?

  • @ lovelyfairy1: it's "Faster Kill Pussycat" from Paul Oakenfold feat. Brittany Murphy Club Mix released in 2005 by fonos
