  • lol attack ads are a contributing factor in the American Problem.

  • It was the obama economic team that negotiated a new GM plant to be built employing 100 for the construction of the plant and almost 1000 to work in the plant in Mexico... not in the U.S. All these jobs are and have been filled by Mexicans, not Americans!

  • Outsourcing makes a company healthy by saving it money. If a corporation acted like a charity it would likely sink.

The self pay raise is pretty sleazy though.

  • @BloodskullMannoroth Yeah that's called free trade, but the pay raise is sleazy.

  • It looks like she was just doing it for herself and the bottom line. Obviously she has so much control it didn't harm her but lots of people lost jobs because of her in the local economy. Though in many ways in order to compete with other countries, outsourcing is now becoming the next wave of the future. My last words though are that she's EXCESSIVE in having 5 JETS and A BOAT! That is nuts!!!!

  • so we should put jet engineers and boat manufacturerers out of business bravo barbara

  • @gonadcancervictim umm you got that where exactly? Any jet not used by Snarly still would be operated by any buyer out there. Nobody's out of a job in that sense (and yes, people with the funds DO finance these lavish purchases, even in today's slow moving economy)

  • @cajayson8301 the video refered to her jets and boats with a negative conotation, as if to say no one should have these things and by that logic people who produce these goods dont deserve to have jobs

  • Thats an add you need to run.

  • outsourcing is the new fad, get used to it. keep voting in GOP senators and congressmen who will give tax breaks to the CEOs (the top 1 percent) who send your jobs to CHina/India and other authoritarian states half way around the globe. As long as these CEO create groups like "tea party" or "swift boat veterans for truth" and scream "communism" a million times in person or on TV, you middle class idiots will keep voting in these corporatists

  • Holy attack ad!!

  • I'm so glad this extreme bitch didn't win.

  • If the FED was not destroying the economy we would not have to outsource. The FED creates inflation and the jobs go overseas.

  • hey you can only fly one plane at a time!

  • Barabra boxer is way worse than any1 but obama carly for ca! im voting 4 her

  • @toleslie ya...she lost already, better luck next time, lol

  • Some Republicans still think Bush did not screwed up the economy in 8 years blowing off the surplus Clinton left! They only focus in Obama's rescue package as the main cause, idiots! where would be Wall Street and the banks be otherwise in China?

  • This is what actually happens with outsourcing:

as we begin to move a lot of production, particularly high tech production, overseas, what happens next is that a lot of the engineering and the research and development jobs go with it. And so we are actually starting to see higher unemployment rates here in the United States for engineers and computer technicians and so on.

  • 5 Corporate jets??? What happened to this hag's brooms?

  • In Santa Clara county, a major part of Silicon Valley, the majority voted NO. The impression of Carly was that she was an awful CEO who ruined HP. The news coverage when she ran HP wasn't very favorable.

  • @NobbyKNobbs Obviously she was bad enough to be fired by the Board of Directors.

  • Yeah baby...I say...INVE$T in the U$A....BUY A POLITICAN hahaha

  • Barbra Boxer is just plain BAD for California

Lets charge a lot of taxes and don't talk to people no wonder every business leaves California

  • Comment removed

  • @Ms24LakerFan there is only one P... t

  • @Ms24LakerFan

    v. tri·pled, tri·pling, tri·ples

    v.tr.

To make three times as great in number or amount

  • @Ms24LakerFan What do you smoke? Tripled is with one p. Try spell check in MS word if you doubt me.

  • Carly Fiorina knows how to create jobs but in countries were wages are much lower! I wouldn't be surprised if she once ran a sweatshop!

  • um carly laid of 30,000 jobs last time i checked it wasnt the ceo that did that it was the board of directors that runs the company and they pick the ceo and the companys employes

  • you people are all idiots. her responsibility to shareholders as the CEO of a company is different that her responsibilities to citizens as an elected official.

hate her or not, but this outsourcing crap is intellectually dishonest of the politicians, and you idiots who parrot it are embarrassing.

  • @manigoat1 Agreed - but she ran her whole campaign strategy that she was a "CEO of a Fortune 500 Company" - she opened herself up to this. Not smart.

  • @manigoat1 that was not the point of the ad. The issue was whether or not her experience in the private sector as a corporate executive, a place where some politicians begin, make her the best candidate to aid millions of constituents. She nipped her responsibility to shareholders in the bud when ALL of them told her NOT to merge HP with Compaq. They fired her as a result. Even a CEO has a boss or, in this case, bosses.

  • California is a crappy place to do business, this underscores another issue.

  • Speaking of Jobs lost. Could somebody tell me what the unemployment rate is in California?

  • @DanielDamascusKimery like 12% in california and 9.2% in the US

  • What song is used in this?

    It's so catchy

  • 18 people are republican bastards

  • @orkkilla5589 make that 20

  • Carly Fiorina is an idiot and a liar... She knows how to create jobs? Of course that is why she shipped them to China and India and also laid off 30,000 workers. Meg Whitman is another puppet, an idiot who hasn't voted for 28 years, spent $120 million on a campaign so she can buy the election, and making all these stupid advertisements not to vote for Jerry Brown.

    FUCK THE REPUBLICANS

  • sometimes in buisness you have to make cuts in order to stay in buisness. i guarentee you carly has put far more people to work here in America than boxer ever could but the paste eaters of california will unfortunately vote for whoevers got the d next to their name no matter how bad things get. my neighbors are insane/ retarded.

  • I would not vote for either one, they are both responsible for the mess.

  • IMHO economy is not here to provide jobs, but free the people from jobs.

In the near future there won't be any corporations anymore. The sick amercian system of "strength through exhaustion" will end. The "consumers" will disappear. Capitalism will have to pay the people for consumption. This is not fiction. In germany people got payed for buying new cars. A disguised bailout for the car-makers. Ppeople have to get money without a job. Just to spend it and provide jobs for a small minority.

  • Carly created lots of jobs........IN CHINA!!!!!

  • You are so dumb Barbara oh yea she uses each of the 5 jets each weekday come on and i am sure people have jobs to make the planes so don't get the jets but cut off the many of jobs come on think outside the box!

  • The Democrats made it so expensive to operate a large business in America that many CEOs felt they had no choice. We've got to make American workers marketable again.

  • After Barbara Boxer voted for Free Trade thousands of CEOs' had to lay off people and relocate to China. Carly only did what she had to do because of Barbara Boxer. Truth be known Barbara Boxer helped send over 5 million jobs overseas since she voted yes for Free Trade. Barbara Boxer created jobs in China not America. Where has Boxer been while millions of Americans have been losing their homes? Voting to send money to the repo man not helping the home owners.

  • Hmm. Barbara Boxer, a woman with experience in politics, although she has some bad rep., versus, Carly Fiorina, a CEO from HP where she was fired, where she laid off 30k+ people with families, where she tripled her pay, supports sending jobs to other countries instead of having them here where they are desperately needed, spent millions on luxuries and says that she is proud of what she has done?

Yeah, I prefer to choose the one who is not a total bitch.

  • @xphatmexicanx guess what genius. thats business. thats how America became wealthy. she was doing what her position required her to do: ensuring HP's success and was rewarded with her risks\success. can't say the same for Boxer who has no real world experience other than to promise the needy/non-selfsufficient cry babies that they'll get whatever they want without making tough decisions like entrepeneurs through methods of taxation and wealth redistribution- might as well elect santa clause

  • @kaboo0m No. That's how the fat cats became wealthy while the poor people who never had an opportunity of making it big continue to suffer. Not everyone in this world has the option to become an Entrepreneur. If Fiorina was rewarded so well with her decisions, then why was she booted from the company? Oh yeah because she kept sending HP down the shit hole while she was collecting all the company's money in a dump truck. We don't need a money hungry fuck up in the Senate, I'll tell you that much.

  • yeah go to hell forinia

  • If Fiorina gets elected, you had better start learning Cantonese quick! Soon you'll be working in a call center trouble shooting for Chinese customers.

It's getting so bad that soon people will be outsourcing jobs back to the USA with our WEAK ASS DOLLAR.

  • @nylar4000 and how is Fiorina contributing to a weak ass dollar? Do you even know how international business works? HP is a global manufacturer. They sell products to not just the US . If anything, they bring back capital into the US and sustain the weak dollar by balancing out our current account deficit with the rest of the world. A weak dollar is the 14 Trillion Dollar Federal deficit caused by yours truly, Boxer and gang bcuz we just print money thereby inflating the currency to pay it off

  • The only time I would vote for career politican Barbara Boxer is if she was running against Osama Bin Ladin. Her record (or lack thereof) speaks volumes on the type of political leach she is.

  • Senator Boxer is a self serving elitist... Both parties are heavily influenced by corporate campaign contributions and lobbyist. Democrats receive more campaign contributions from the entire spectrum of donors, of which law firms, labor union leaders and high finance lead the way, while the GOP leads in a single catagory whith the petroleum industry. Ms. Boxer's vote was purchased years and years ago.

  • Barbara Boxer voted against body-armor for our soldiers, claiming to be anti-War not anti-Soldier. Well... 95% of Americans are anti-War. Boxer is making a generic statement reflecting that sentament, however, her voting record speaks more to anti-Soldier than her 60's anti-War chant.

  • Hey Babs? You still charging people to talk to you?

    June 18, 2010 1:16:59 PM

Sen. Barbara Boxer’s (D-Calif.) campaign sent an e-mail to supporters informing them they can have access to the senator 4 $15 per month (for a year) you can get on the phone with Boxer. You cannot speak during these calls, but you can listen to her speak. This includes 4 listening sessions per year. Those generous enough to donate $180 to the campaign up-front got an invitation to join her on a conference call on 6/20.

  • Go Boxer!

Fiorina, beyond her ridiculous ads, regurgitates the same old policies that have just been proven to be unsustainable in recent years. Relaxed business regulations, corporate greed, and targeted tax cuts to the rich have contributed significantly to the current dire economic situations. Why would anyone want to have Fiorina (or Meg) to perpetuate, or even worsen, these problems? Running the state like a business under these self-serving former CEOs would be a liability, not an asset!

  • I'm American with a high school diploma working full time and spending less than $10 a month in entertainment, living as green as I can with regard to energy consumption. I would like to point out that I am making less than $15,000 a year, paying almost $600 a month for my wife's health insurance, and am literally unable to save any money without going hungry. I am practically living on whatever TV dinners are on sale for less than $2 a piece and that is all I have to say about how I'm spoiled

  • @quixoteknight i applaud you. now can you imagine how much lower the cost of living for you and your wife would be had we repeal all the policies set by career politicians? As a restaurant owner, I don't enjoy charging my customers 6 bucks for a box of fried rice when 8 years ago it would cost $4 (2 years before that it was $2). It makes no sense, because I would make a lot more money selling more food at lower prices than having to inflate my menu prices to offset these sneaky taxes.

  • who does Boxer think she is. It was her stupid uncompetitive policies that made China more appealing to do business with. Her policies spoiled the typical American worker to thinking that they deserve more than they should when they haven't made the sacrifices or endured the hardships as any other entrepreneur. Typical of a career politician, breaking the person's leg and handing them a crutch, saying "If I werent around, you couldn't walk". then point the blame at the healthy walking person.

  • @kaboo0m American workers are not spoiled. European workers get lots of money when they are fired, what do Americans get? A thank you note if they are lucky.

Developed countries will never be able to compete with Asian countries low wages.

America needs to rethink its whole economy and the way it works.

  • @itsninetynine. and guess what? european workers underconsume. they save their money. they are grateful for the money they earned compared to the typical American that doesnt save a dime, goes into debt, consumes 1/4 of the planet's resources and expects to get paid $45 an hour without a highschool degree - that is now possible thanks to unfair politicians.

America doesn't need to rethink its whole economy, it just needs to repeal useless laws that have done more damage than good.

  • @kaboo0m I can certainly agree on that.

  • I Bet there are at least 30,000 people in California that won't be voting for Fiorina.

  • GO BOXER!

  • @akktive1 Careful what yo wish for, you might just get it.

No Bailouts for California, let it sink.

  • @akktive1 You mean leave, right? As in NOW!

  • Ms. Boxer: Why do you television advertisements for your re election state: Paid for by friends of Barbara Boxer? You have screamed about identifying campaign donors not being transparent. Where is the transparency in your ads? Who are friends of Barbara Boxer?

  • @chiggerno19 I'm a friend of Barbara Boxer

  • Carly also used H1-b visas to replace American workers. These visas were strongly supported by Sen. Boxer et al. Isn't it ironic that Boxer more or less sold the rope which is being used to hang her? No honor among thieves. But at least we know that Carly is a CEO sociopath of the first order.

  • @Mr114850 Is that because India & Pakistan are graduating engineers and were graduating idiots??

  • I'm kotk05 and I approve this message

  • absolutely outstanding ad

  • Now, if only the California voters would read these comments, there wouldn't the great fear I have that she could actually become a contender, even alongside Whitman; and that is something significant to fear.

  • Fantastic, Top marks to the whoever made this commercial!

  • vote Boxer!

  • REALITY IS! Sad that people like this have their little piece of "temporary" heaven on earth, but then comes judgment day! "Eternal life in Hell is not worth losing your own soul trying to gain the whole world."

BUY AMERICAN! If your going to buy foreign made, because your trying to save money, BUY IT USED! NOT NEW! Local Charity/Thrift/Goodwill Stores/eBay/Craig.s List are best choices!

  • Awesome.....Keep em coming......

  • This ad hits hard.

  • Carly Fiorina -what a scumb*g of a wh*re! Great Ad! Wisconsin is rooting for you Barbara Boxer!

  • Yeah! Don't elect the HAG Fiorina for ANY type of office!!! She is the type of person(s) that is corrupting America from within!!! While creating relentless wealth for her selfish self!

    GO BARBARA BOXER!!!

  • I'm definitely voting for Barbara Boxer in this coming election. Thanks to all the volunteers getting the word out about who should win this election.

  • when will the scales fall from the eyes of Americans... what she did has been done and is still being done by 100's of CEO's around the country... they are bleeding you all dry while u wave ur silly flags and sing hallelujah, and CONTINUE to vote for people who allow all this to happen... when will enough be enough ameri$a ?

  • Way to go! This is the way to tell the truth. Michael Moore, you're the best, too!

  • she's become a millionaire on the taxpayers dime. wheres our millions? shes a joke but so is every candidate. Our government is the problem!

  • @gotsmarter Michael Moore is one of the biggest idiots in the world!!!!!!

  • Barbar Boxer for Senate 2010! :D

  • An important TRUTH that needed to be said.

  • Fantastic, a Boxer Knock-Out! Ding. Next round...

  • HP's share price moved from 45.36 to 20.14 during Fiorina's leadership, a performance of -56% (share price data from Bloomberg); the market as a whole, as measured by the benchmark Dow Jones U.S. Large Cap Technology Index, fell by 51% between 1999-07-19 and 2005-02-09.

  • Wow. Fiorina got ripped a new ass in this ad.

  • right on Barbara!

  • Poor dumb Californians lost their jobs......

Hey dummies, go find a personal computer that's NOT made overseas.

California lost jobs? Must not have anything to do with the red tape and regulations Boxer has imposed on employers making it so that mfg/business cannot compete with out of state/foreign mfg.

All you Liberal think global economy is great and illegals entering USA deserve something.......they do.....your jobs dummy.

  • She had zero problem laying off tens of thousands of workers, breadwinners for many families lost their jobs...because of HER. SHE lost nothing, received 100,000,000 for her efforts and then was fired. You might not like Boxer, so you should have voted for Tom Campbell in the primary, who could have easily beat Boxer. Fiorina gets what she paid for, the truth about her revealed at last. NO SALE!

  • @1968RYS The real question is why is it cheaper to pay labor in china and ship the goods over here rather than pay workers here.

  • People like her can run the country into the ground just as quick. Buyer beware, HP was doing well without her and in fact recovered from her tenure.

Don't be stupid and vote for her or you will really see what a depression looks like.

  • It was too expensive to run that business, so she had no choice but to lay them off. Those jobs had to be shipped to China because there was nowhere else for them to go. She had to save money at HP. And don't say that she had to lay off thousands of people just so she could increase her salary. I'm from New Jersey and I support Fiorina. Do you Californians really support someone who voted for healthcare reform, which will force everyone to pay for everyone else's healthcare?

  • @ekoppisch you have no right to talk...you dont know what its like to be a Californian. so keep your dirty mouth in jersey.

  • @t0nganigger You're wrong. I do have the right to talk. It's people like you who are ruining this country because you vote for liberals. Do you honestly think that Boxer is going to help out this country?

  • @ekoppisch Carly Fiorina ran HP into the ground, and she was eventually forced out of the company, after which HP started to recover. She has no business being elected to higher office.

  • @ekoppisch If you believe there was no choice but to ship those jobs to China, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you, real cheap. Cheaper than HP's stock valuation after Fiorina was ousted.

  • HP's biz turned around occurred only after Mark Hurd came aboard. Now, Carly wants to take credit for HP's success after her exit.

HP stock was stagnant and down till 2005 and merger with Compaq was a disaster until Hurd changed all that. Credit for recent HP turnaround goes to Hurd, not Fiorina.

  • Carly created jobs in China and India. She created jobs for "commies" that Republican say they hate so much.

Then, she got $24M as severance after a total failure as CEO. Only in America!!!

  • Looks like you guys are still voting for the lesser of 2 evils. Hope you get a real leader soon until then just keep being the freak state you are.

  • As CEO of HP, Carly was doing what's best for HP considering the difficult business reulatory environment Boxer helped bring about. After 18 years in senate, what did Barbara do for California other than practically destorying it?

  • First of all...this ad is horrible and demonstrates what a manipulative liar Boxer is. She should be ashamed of "approving this message".

  • @mrkaic how is this manipulative? its the truth..dont you see the resources the messages are from? they are right under EACH fact. liar huh?

  • Love Barbara Boxer! Republican trash has no business being in (educated, coastal) California!

  • @smeps .....but Boxer believes that illegal immigrants deserve all the education and welfare benefits that they can receive - even college tuition.

  • Of coure Fiorina said layoff was a painful decision - whatelse would you expect her to say!? Any HP-er would tell you that she won't feel a single pain making this decision. She could have made the process more efficient in HP and let go the redundant incompetent high pay managers, instead they laid off hard working American workers and outsourced those jobs to India and China in 1:3 to 1:10 ratio. It's biggest joke if you think she's interested in public service! It's always about her, period.

  • GO Barbara... but when you win again, please DO something for California's failing infrastructure.

  • I really hope that rich bitch Fiorina and her cow friend Whitman -- the Republican money candidates -- fail miserably

  • @versafan I dont like Boxer or Fiorina and I HATE whitman, but this commercial was just unfair, cutting up her speech like that and twisting her words.

  • @versafan just so you know, barbara is a "rich bitch" as well...

  • My favorite Boxer quote " Babies have no rights until they leave the hospital"! What the *uck? Get the hag out!

  • My apologies to the witch community, but Boxer is a real HAG! Get the hag out of D.C.!

  • Sometimes the truth hurts, Carly...

  • I absolutely believe the Teapublicans' "Pledge" to create thousands of new jobs.

Unfortunately NONE of them will be on this continent!

And the reason is quite simple: because Teapublicans support the outsourcing that makes the Rich Fat Cats on Wall Street and in the corner offices richer and fatter.

  • @SoINeedAName48 Wealth exits in environments that can sustain it. Our liberal government has made it unfriendly!

  • @SoINeedAName48 Funny thing. 142 cos have left Ca and guess who is in charge? A Dem Legislation. Thanks to Boxer, even GREEN cos that developed their technology in CA are moving to other states/countries to manufacture their products. Seems the tax rate and strict EPA standards are the primary reasons given for their exodus to other states/countries.

  • @SoINeedAName48 tell fiorina to go fuck her self.

heres a good slogan obama is not a comunist fiorena is

  • @SoINeedAName48

You sure eat up the Democrats propaganda.

Fact - Bill Clinton signed Free Trade and America has lost 5 million jobs since.

Fact - Barack Obama sued Citi Bank forcing the banking industry into making bad loans.

These two things together combined to cause the Mortgage Meltdown. Do your homework nothing just happens.

Fact - George Bush increased the National Debt 4.7 trillion in 8 years.

Fact - Barack Obama has increased the National Debt by 3 trillion in 20 months.

  • the government has gotten too big. Too much gov. too much spending. The government is the problem.

  • This is a GREAT ad. You know what's best about it? It is 100% TRUE! Unlike the rumor-mongering lie-fests that characterize most Republicans' ads, everything in this ad is true and correct. What a breath of fresh air!!

  • @desert4427 But it is out of context..and your confirmation bias slip is showing.

The reality: had HP not done those manufacturing layoffs, more people would have lost their jobs...because in America, we ACTUALLY BELIEVE incredibly expensive things like fancy phones, computers, TV's really cost the sub-$1000 prices we see. Make it in America? Pay the "real" costs like 3x-4x more. Like it used to be, remember?

The whole company would have went under if HP paid 10x for labor. Reality.

  • @mrkaic That's faulty economics. The truth is that labor costs are only a small fraction of what it takes to produce electronic products. They could have kept the jobs in America if they wanted to. They preferred to sell out American workers to save a few pennies.

Germany and Japan are high wage, high benefit, unionized countries and they manage to have large, internationally competitive electronics industries. The US could do the same if it weren't for CEOs like Carly Fiorina.

  • This is the best and funniest Political Ad.

  • Carly Fiorina has accepted 12 debate venues, while Barbara Boxer will accept only 2. It seems Boxer prefers Fiorina attack ads rather than debate with Fiorina.

  • All - Please go to the polls and support Barbara Boxer.

  • Naturally, if you want to learn about the Islamic world, you go to . . . Paris, France. With your spouse. For a week. At a cost of $12,272, as Boxer did in 2008.

  • Dont tell us whats wrong with your opponent, you are the first person(s) to be biased, as an educated person im going to take that into account. Instead, tell us whats good about YOU. Make us want you rather than hate the opposition. Basically, tell us why you're better, because for all we know, you could be ten times worse. If you cant come up with a reason, well...

  • Wow. Talk about an ad that takes video out of context. This really shows Boxer's desperation. She's willing to lie and deceive voters to get re-elected.

  • @brandon2720 Well I'm sure you can educate us as to the context then, right?

  • @PotVsKtl Sure. While Boxer's video makes it seem that Fiorina is somehow devilishly proud of the layoffs, Fiorina explains in the actual video that the layoffs she presided over were "the most painful thing of all".

In difficult economic times (eg. tech recessions), CEO's have no choice but to lay off employees. They do this for the greater good of the company, so that the company can go on to create more jobs in the future.

  • Speaking as a former HP employee, when it was announced that Fiorina was fired, workers were literally dancing in the aisles and singing "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!"

Keep Fiorina FAAAAR away from the Senate!

  • @meldroc

what was it about Fiorina that the workers hated so much?

  • @alexlogic It wasn't that she was hated. She would put on fabulous presentations and talk about all the fantastic and cutting edge products we were going to develop. But when we tried to get money for developing all these new ideas, there was no money. The patents were sold to other companies to develop and the in-house R&D budgets and personnel were cut. She talks a great game but there is no follow through. Somehow she was the only one who came out ahead. She is a performer not a leader.

  • @hotglass

I know of a company that had some kind of joint agreement with HP. After working together for a few years, when the product was developed, HP charged so much for the ink that the other company could not use the very product they developed in conjunction with HP.

Just a guess here, maybe the game was work with other companies, then at the end, don't really give them what they need to succeed since they could be seen as competitors by others.

  • @alexlogic If you are going to go into business with ANY corporation, learn how to read and write a contract first. As far as corporations go, HP has more heart than most.

  • @meldroc WE NEED TO STOP BARBARA BOX AND HER SPENDING

  • @Nicholas197813 i know people who worked at hp what this video is true

  • @meldroc Carly Fiorina wants to make abortion a crime that fucking slut. as well as send a good portion of are jobs over seas that to faced sack of shit. less gun control fuck off Carly Fiorina.

and more education cuts go burn in fucking hell

  • Boxer is such a hypocrite. How has Boxer made HER money? On the backs of the tax paying Californian's she is suppose to WORK FOR. Boxer has helped make CA unfriendly to businesses like HP, so of COURSE a SMART business person is going to take their business elsewhere, where its cheaper and they can make profits. Boxer has been in office HOW LONG, and more and more businesses have left CA because of who? BOXER and her cronies.

  • @treemetree: U R half right. I think Boxer KNOWS what she's saying is malarkey. Like any Dem politician, her only path to victory involves deceiving enough people to win re-election.

This is what I love about being a conservative (or, classical liberal, if U prefer). We don't have to LIE to make our case to the voters.

  • I'm a liberal but this is clearly how BUSINESS works, deal with it.

  • Whats sad is that this ad is very effective. There could have been better GOP candidates. Barbara Boxer will stay because California is so liberal beyond repair, they wouldn't know common sense if it hit them.
