  • War is not healthy for children and other living things

  • "A new consciousness is developing which sees the Earth as a single organism and realizes that an organism at war with itself is doomed" - Carl Sagan

  • Your stupid compilation completely underscores what the documentary is about.

  • I don't like war, I don't want war. The "quote" I said was from a fiction novel I read called "War". I don't want to fight in a war because I would be the first one shot. Also, I do not believe war is cool. In my opinion no one should think war is cool. Finally I will never know what war is like until I am drafted after I become 18. If I am drafted I would be proud to fight for my country. Would I want to, no but if I have to I would. Now I apologise to anyone that I offended with full heart.

  • Nukes have been more a weapon of peace than war. If the US and USSR weren't so terrified that they were gonna nuke each other if conflicts escalated, they would have been beating the shit out of each other by the 60s.

  • like mr. smith said...we are viruses...

  • Is it not amazing that we develop our greatest science for killing one another?

  • @brownsrd16 ironically, most of our science that helps people was made through suffering.

the holocaust lead to great leaps in medical science in germany, for example.

  • I don't think war is cool; but I find bombs and the sciences that are unfortunately tied to wars pretty cool.

  • @Polaris688 - Check out nuke lies on this site, and also my videos. Nuclear weapons are probably a fraud.

  • @Polaris688 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. ive heard of it :/ alot of the vietnam guys had it, and killed themselves due to it.

  • thank god these bombs were built.

they will come in handy for the upcoming alien invasions.

  • War is not about who wins or loses, but who ever is left.

  • @kevin212122 with these bombs, no one will be left :L

  • @SuperIby Isaw a bumper sticker that summed it all up , it said ,It's not who wins or loses , but who's left. Being a former Marine , that said it all

  • @kevin212122 ive been seeing way to many people not getting quotes right lately.

fuck off and get the right quote, idiot.

  • war IS cool

  • Who say war is cool is an idiot who dont know what he is talking about

  • @lokoxxxxx he said anything but cool - moron.

  • war isnt even a thing u should watch and be like fuck yeah its just not i mean wtf dude

  • most of this movie was just bombs and music > _ > i was rather put off.

  • @hyugabob thats what its suppose to be moron !!

  • @hayden50 oh, i was just making the point that it was on teh edge of glorifying war, which could have totally been the point, but, as i said... mildly off-putting.

  • on earth are no enemy...there are only human.

  • B-29 #FTW

  • The only thing worse than being incinerated by your enemy is being incinerated by your friend,

  • Tsutomu Yamaguchi, he died this year. He survived both Hiroshima and Nagasaki detonations, he lived to be 93 years old. His is a story that needs to be told.

  • this needs a new dvd release

  • Great documentary, fantastic soundtrack too.

  • This is a good documentary.. really suggest to everybody.

  • Fantastic documentary - the music, Shatner's dialogue and the interviews with those very intelligent and scary scientists.

Favorite scene: The Red Chinese army calvary on horseback, charging the battlefield after the atomic weapon was detonated. How stupid!

  • That's my favorite scene too. As if there wasn't enough insanity perpetrated by us (Americans) and the Soviets! The clip of the Chinese shooting their machine guns in the aftermath of the explosion epitomizes surreality. They take it to a level the viewer doesn't even conceive of...until seeing the footage. The film leaves a deep impression.

  • OMFG i know!!! all hail the bomb. Our new savior, our sun god our love our everything. RUN TO THE BOMB !!! RUN EVERYONE TO THE BRIGHT WARM GLOW LET IT IRRADIATE YOU AND YOUR HORSE. RUN RIGHT NOW!!!.

Kind of scary when you think that Ivy Mike's 10 megaton yield only gets STARTED with a booster atom bomb the size that wiped Hiroshima off the map. Oooy!!

  • @tenaciousRas I agree! I was in disbelief when I saw that! Now I know why nuclear gear training is still part of our armed forces' boot camps!

  • @divisioneight

Same kinda tests were done in other countries too. In Russia and USA soldiers walked towards ground zero.

  • Fantastic film. I have been looking for it for ages!

  • This is a great movie.

  • This is a MUST watch film , amazing , fascinating ,these are the real pionners of science. Watch it !

  • why they don't tell that how they got rocket engine in first point. US got rocket from Nazi germany, ofcourse nation was dead when they got rocket engine pioneer

  • Remember though that it was the American rocket pioneer John Goddard whose work was ignored in the USA but inspired the German rocketeers... one could say it was America's own fault they fell behind in rocket design...

  • Besides, this film is about the history of nuclear devices and the only rockets featured in this film are the Thor Missiles, which were independently developed by American companies instead of the german populated ABMA.

Saksalaisten rooli korostui vasta mannertenvälisten ohjuksien kehityksessä, mikä jää dokumentin aiheen ja aikajanan ulkopuolelle. Dokumentti valottaa ydinkokeiden historiaa ja siksi päättyy USA:n ja NL:n ydintestit kieltävään sopimukseen 1963.

  • I put the rest of the message in finnish, since I wasn't sure how well laupiaslammas is able to understand english. But basically it's just the english part of my previous message in a nutshell so no ones missing anything.

  • does anyone know where i can watch this online

  • Try to watch this movie in HD, it's so dam crazy!!

More amazing atomic bomb movies (Doc):

ATOMIC FILMMAKERS-Behind the scenes of Trinity and beyond. &

    BBC HIROSHIMA.

  • The sad thing is that the fallout from these bombs came down all over the US and North America. The American government killed a lot of their own people.

  • i have this movie, and this looks nothing like the trailer

  • what's the name of this song?

  • It's called 'Mobilization' and it's made by a company called 'Immediate Music'. You can get a soundtrack of the music from the link in the film above.

  • From the soundtrack the name of this song is "Thor Missile Tests" and it's by John W. Morgan.

  • But it was composed and conducted by William T. Stromberg.

  • freaky

  • can anyone tell me where i can watch thise on you tube for free please

  • Copy and paste the following:

Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie :: [Part 1 of 10]

  • this would be awesome in 3d

  • can some1 upload this movie on youtube?

  • JESUS! no wonder our environment is fucked up...you cannot detonate over 100 nukes into the atmosphere and expect things to be normal...not to mention the marine life and the life on the bimini atol that was extinguished by these fuckin retards!

  • There is over 2000 "nukes" detonated in world wide. Of course all of them weren't atmosphere tests...

  • Good soundtrack

  • War is not fun trust me. I was in chechnya 2001. Not fun at all

  • War sucks!!!

  • Morons make it

  • true eg bush

  • War is anything but COOL, young man. You speak with the lack of perspective common to one who has never experienced the realities of war first-hand. For your sake, I hope you never have to endure the mental, emotional and physical torment of war.

    Peace be with you.

  • Well spoken. I hope he meant that as a joke and was not serious.

  • i am in history class and i learned everything about ww1 and ww2 and it was really hard for everybody but u got to admit EXPLOSIONS ARE ALWAYS AWESOME

  • explosions are awsome until you best m8's arm comes flying out of it and slaps u in the face for thinking that was amazing

  • true, i never faught in war so i don't know these guys felt when the atomic bomb hit japan must of been devistating

  • The atomic bomb was dropped twice on Japan during WWII. Germany had been defeated, and Japan was the only other force still capable of an everlasting fight

The first explosion was seen as a fluke, and Japan ignored the warnings and continued to fight.

When the second bomb was dropped, Japan realized that their entire island could be easily destroyed with only a small air fleet carrying these bombs, and they resigned from the war, ending the global conflict.

  • Err, not quite. Even after the second nuke, the Japanese War Council refused to surrender. A day or two after the second one, Russia finally declared war on Japan, then Hirohito made a personal appeal to the nation to surrender.

And even THEN a group of army officers mutinied and stormed the royal palace. Had that attack succeeded, Japan would have fought to the very bitter end.

  • Wow, thanks for clarify this piece of history for us, I didn't know this. (no sarcasm)

  • Not at all...most people don't realize just how dead-set Japan was against the dishonor of losing. Quite a few military officers committed suicide just upon hearing the news of the surrender.

Those that think we could have possibly convinced Japan to surrender without the nuclear bombs (or a land invasion which would have killed millions of Japanese civilians) just don't know their history.

  • yeah iknow you speakthe truth better to lose tothe imperialistic ameriacans and retain your crown than be under soviet domination at least stalin would have given hirihito abullet tothe back of the skull

  • no the power is humbling and amasing to watch but are horrible

  • @MajorManny Listen old man, i dont give a shit that you or someone you know went into a war, watching a war happen, now thats what you would call awesome, being in a war, thats a different story. But watching bombs rain down on enemy soil is cool.

  • @MajorManny You are perfectly right.

  • @MajorManny Be quiet. War is awesome, exciting and adventurous, even Eisenhower said so.

  • @MrGrevy Join the army, and let's see how long that lasts.

  • @AnimeFanatic5602 lol no thanks. Cannon fodder should be the uneducated and minorities.

  • @MajorManny War is awesome and exciting. Don't be such a pussy.

  • @MajorManny

with all due respect - I played all Call of Duty Games, so I've practically been there.

  • @MajorManny You speak like a Jedi Knight.

  • You're a loony...

  • Everyone thinks war is cool until they actually fight in it.

  • You can say that again.

  • @HinduMan786 i dont agree.

  • @HinduMan786 I know! I was playing Halo 2 and it was fucking intense. I think I've got a pretty good idea of what war is really like.

  • @HinduMan786

    true hindu man speaking

  • why do you think war is cool?

  • u r sick

  • did someone know the name of the soundtrack??

  • Nice music.

  • America is not a terrorism country, but i do hope one of these never gets dropped on human lives again. It is too powerful to control. Aside from of course pushing or not pushing the button

  • unfortunately man has an inability to learn from history so sme fuckwit will use it again wipeing an unknowable count of our brothers and sisters politicians should fight wars not civillians

  • Very true. History just keeps repeating itself.

  • many think is about to repeat itself and nobody is consientious about damn think!!!!!

  • Well, where can I order that?

  • My favourite track was Little Boy & Fat Man. I loved the movie! I am a HUGE fan of nuclear weapons! And by the way, I downloaded the movie for free!

  • What's the music titled? Where did you get it?

  • Trinity and Beyond is awesome!

  • COOL!!!

  • yep, i had to say it was a fascinating but scary at the same moment when i watched the atomic and hydrogen bombings. did you know the narration for this documentary film was by William Shatner??

i watched this film in my history class this week, and i took a whole lot of notes and did the drawings from the earlier atomic bomb designs

  • ok
