  • SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY GERMAN-.-!

  • It sounds really light to be honest. I can tell you are German....well because I'm moving there soon, but someone who might not be familiar with the German language might think it's something else. It is really light though and your English is really good!

  • I'm american but I give him credit because English can be confusing there are different sounds and rules to many letters of the alphabet. We are lucky to already know it as our first language.

  • Not bad at all, your accent is fine, although identifiable as German in some of the sounds.

If you can work on "v" sounds eg "native", which you pronounce "natif" due to the way "v" is said in German, and "s" at the end of a word should sound like an English "z" not "s", as in "guys", and you say "language" a bit like "land-vich" (the "v" is almost a correct "w" when you say it but not quite 100%).

  • Ah, you have a touch of an accent, but I doubt anyone will really care that much. Hell! Talk to the right woman and it will probably get you laid. >w6

  • Your English is much better than my German. It is good to learn more than one language. Meine Deutschen sprache ist nicht ser gut! I took German in school for 1 year because My Grandparents were from Germany but I never could get them to help me practice.

  • Lol. Is it just me or was anyone else ashamed just by listening?! It's actually sort of weird how self-perception and an objective perception differ ^^ I mean this is exactly the sort of accent Germans are said to have...he rather confirmed all the stereotypes that actually proved them wrong :) No disrespect, but this is definitely no reason to be proud...

  • finest english

    hahahahahaha

  • there more people who doesn't like your video than the ones who like it. Think about that...

  • with german accent xD

  • That still sounds way too German...no offense.

  • soo im sam tschörmän gai spieking feinest inglish withaut äny bäd äccent

  • @codymovies icksäcktlie!!!

  • That was pretty good, your accent was very weak.

  • people who are really in to some language...

  • tbh you have a really bad accent.

  • German accents are so cute :3

  • German may not be an easy language, but verdammt nochmal it´s a very powerful, direct language. Neary perfect for epische Gedichte or other Lyric !

  • first i thought you have a cool sense of humor but you obviously MEAN WHAT YOU ARE SAYING!!!! LOL man your accent sounds horrible :D!!! hahahaha and by the way i can tell from your silly shirt and your flowbee haircut that you are an OSSI !!!!!!!!! hahahaha you're a douche!

  • Actually English sounds like a drunken man speaking German, especially american English! xD

  • You still have an accent and ppl notice that at least your first language is not English.

I'm German and I live in Montreal for a year. Your pronounciation is still pretty good, but to improve it - go to USA or Canada! :)

  • if everyone in america had the american accent it would be a very boring place...you have a slight german accent but it's nice.

  • is this a joke or something? otherwise...well epic fail

  • one of the foreign exchange students came to my high school in minnesota and his accent was exactly like ours! He was danish or something around that area

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, no, you have a German accent. You just don't realize it. It's not too "heavy", but it's there.

  • Well, me, I'm German aswell, and I gotta say, your accent's not as present as most student's. But, and I'm real sorry for saying this, your accent still makes me wanna go deaf. xD Sorry, please don't be offended. If we'll ever talk to each other, PLEASE let it be in German. ;) Haha (By the way, it's the T that's quite disturbing. And the way you say 'people' ^^)

  • cute accent!

  • also, ich hab den akzent schon stark rausgehört :D

  • get laid

  • I wonder what would happen if you tried to learn Bengali...just wondering. Your english is better than a lot of people's, a little accent in to "oo" sound, but pretty good :)

  • From america and learning german...

your accent is still there but its not as strong as most germans. but keep in mind german accents are cool XD

i just hope i don't sound like an idiot when i speak german lol

  • Thanks, I was actually planning to remove this video when I reached a thousand views, but since I am even counting more than 10,000 now I am going to keep it. Thanks to you by the way, that sounds quite motivating. I was actually trying to overdo a little in this vid... but don't tell anyone, some comments were just too funny to read. xD Ooops, now I just told them myself. Hehe... You Americans should rather make all the Europeans learn English I think. The world would be a better place then. x)

  • lol i don't think so....english is too easy of a language. I'd rather learn german since it is one of the hardest xD.

  • I never noticed.... haha. Well I do have a different view of course since I am a native... x)

Anyway, I am going to learn Swedish this summer and just in case I visit the beautiful country and get stuck in Sweden I will still be very happy that almost everyone there speak English. I think it is rather smart to have an easy language. And among so many English is definitely my favourite one besides a few others. :)

  • @CyReVolt Yeah It is good to have an easy language so that people can communicate but I think German is the best language. I think it's more beautiful even than french lol

  • @CyReVolt Yeah It is good to have an easy language so that people can communicate but I think German is the best language. I think it's more beautiful even than french lol

  • @tyseibert i find it the other way around D: english is somewhat hard (and i'm a native speaker lol) but i find German very easy .__. the only thing i find hard is russian D:

  • @crazybubbles18 so your a native speaker of english? yeah german for me is hard especially the use of flavoring particle( doch, oder, aber, so, and etc....) but yeah russian is hard because new alphabet and it's like 5 or 6 cases.

  • @tyseibert German is the easiest language to learn! ever! and english is supposed to be extremely difficult.

  • @geeksquad2 lol are you a native speaker of german? or learning german?

Der,Die,Das will drive you crazy lol alot harder than "the"

  • @tyseibert I'm learning german. And the der, die, das, den thing doesnt bother me too bad. but if I went to Germany and messed up which one I used, I wonder what theyre reaction would be. to them is it just like mixing up A, and AN in english?

  • @geeksquad2 It's true that Der,Die,Das isn't very hard but It is a big deal if you forget lol because their whole case system depends on it. I don't know how far you are in german but when you get to the dative case I realized the importance of the genders. Maybe english has crazy rules or something but I wouldn't know because I'm native and I just speak it lol

  • @tyseibert I'm already done learning dative. I'm starting my 3rd year of german when school starts

  • @geeksquad2 ja, ich auch :D

I need to review alot of it though....going to germany in september.

  • @tyseibert I'm going to germany the summer before I go off to college

  • @geeksquad2 cool do you know what part your going to?

  • @tyseibert German is not at all hard...it makes WAY more sense than English ever will.

  • @ThatInternationalGuy well German is hard for some of us xD lol yes they have rules that are rarely broken which is good :D but still the cases, genders, and plural forms.

If you think german is easy though maybe you should google what mark twain said about german

  • @tyseibert English is the hardest just if your born in an English speaking area you will grow up with it.

  • @AwsomeXnoob It's easy to say english is the hardest but please provide evidence.

ENGLISH: Has no genders, no cases, and 1 plural form.

GERMAN: Has three genders, 4 cases, and plurals can change with case (dative, and genitive)

Please tell me how german is easier again?

  • @tyseibert actually, english is the hardest language to learn. Its all of the "that is" to "that's". Plus the words that sound the same but are different.

  • @tyseibert I could help you to improve your German if you would help me to get rid of my German accent.

  • well I spent many years in the US and I still do have to speak english at many occasions. I do have an accent and I dont hide it..that makes someone more trustful and honest. Karl Lagerfeld thinks as well, that he has no accent at all when speaking english or french. Okay then au revoir...mon amis....salut

  • pfff, was bist du denn für'n mongo!?

  • It sounds good, but I can hear a hint of your accent in there. But yeah, don't lose the accent. It's cool.

  • It's not bad at all, but don't get too pumped. I've met too many Germans with virtually flawless English accents, and too many Germans with precisely your accent, so...the bar has been set high, my friend. :)

  • i love the german accent :)

yours isn't as strong as Stef6788 makes out it is

i think in person if i spoke to you, i'd be able to notice a slight hint of your accent and then probably ask you where you're from because your english is very good.

everyone should be proud of where they come from and be able to broaden their horizons by learning new languages but not changing themselves completely into a native speaker from that country and keep their own roots and accent.

    <3

  • Hey,

unfortunately I also have to tell you that you indeed have a very strong german accent. Your english is easy to understand but you make the typical german pronounciation mistakes! I can also hear that you haven't spend time in an english speaking country. But don't worry, I have started English in Kindergarden, been to GB to practice and have spend a year in the US and still have a german accent (most ppl consider cute though). Mine's a funny mixture though!

    Üb weiter!

  • Sounds 'lil bit like Arnold Schw.

  • cool... lol

  • he sounds like zohan. thats so cute

  • The lot of you are idiots, he's virtually accent-less! I highly doubt any of you can speak German without your ugly american accents messing the words up. He did very well. Hören Du nicht auf diese Idioten, Bruder.

  • you can slightly hear the accent now and then, but good overall :)

  • Onespeedgreg is on the mark -- I've noticed a lot of Germans *are* really serious about languages, especially English. The Germans where I live (NYC) speak even better English than I do because they have a larger vocabulary... and hardly sound like foreigners (though everyone's a foreigner in NYC, haha). I also think the German accent is a bit cute when it's there, it sounds kind of nice. Also, because German is very articulate, when Germans speak English it sounds clear and beautiful.

  • i agree completely, we have a german exchange student and he is far more flowing and exciting with his vocabulary, his choice of words for describing things are always perfect.

i think germans have a wonderful, language, intelligence and the best accent :D

  • Your accent is very noticeable, but you do speak pretty good English. Accents are cool though man, come to America and rock the accent and the girls will probably love it. Cheers.

  • Very true. Girls will throw themselves at you, with your German accent... ;)

  • That was soo German.

  • i can hear ur german from the way ur ending the sentanes...

  • where is the german accent you promised us ??

  • oh ja wow hört sich echt gut an

    NICHT

  • You're english is pretty good, but i can still tell you are German or of a german speaking country.

very slight (as you were speaking kinda softly so if u were talking louder it might be more clear that you are german)

but lets just say your english is better than my german.

  • wow, that's is really good. The only hint i got of your accent was in the way you make the ooo sound. like in do, and you.

  • dein akzent is wirklich nich so stark aber das hört sich kacke an weil du überhaupt nicht weißt was du sagen willst

  • You still have a bit of an accent..But your english is great. Here in the US that is ok because we have people from all over , and they all have an accent of one kind or another, and we dont really think much of it. Hell, we have people that live here for twenty years and cant speak english, and we let them stay. We are not really expecting perfection here, its just how we are..Still ..good work..Germans seem to take languages seriously, and that is a good thing.

  • are you really so proud of yourself????? hahaah

  • Silence I kill you!

  • ..and another thing .. its not impossible.. to hav an english, irish or indeed any kind of accent if english is not ur first language.. some people adapt easier some dont.. and will always keep that little bit of their own language.. i´ve been livin in ireland for 5 years.. and anybody i meet thinks im irish when first talking to me..i had to show my passport once to make them believe me..

  • Every english person loves a german with a GERMAN accent and it is ridiculous to try and have an english accent it is impossible! But good try anyway :)

  • I was born in Quebec and I speak english so fluently you would not know i was french

  • Mate,

You do have a proper German accent.

This is in fact THE contemporary German accent. It is a big misconception that people out there still sound like in WW2 movies. If you go out to Berlin, Hamburg even Munich, that is exactly what you'll hear, from the younger crowd anyway. Some might try a bit too hard and end up sounding a bit like american orangutans . But hey, fair play on the Germans, the level of fluency is pretty high out there.

Nothing wrong with an accent, is there?

  • dein akzent ist nicht zu überhören

    da ist dieses deutsche

  • good job!

  • Du hast schon einen Akzent...piiiipul.

  • Your accent is a GERMAN one!! That`s what i can tell Ya for sure!

    ps. Your englisch sounds cute:)

    GoD bless!

  • oh get a life, you've got such a german accent!

  • I looooooooooooove German accents! <3 Don't hide it. Be proud. You did a pretty nice job, though. :)

  • I agree. I absolutely love German Accents 2 : )

  • Hey, I also have a German accent! Mainly when I speak German, lol

  • Don't lose it it's hot lol I'm just kidding...You can do whatever you want, but I just think it's hot :)

  • 1. you do have an accent. not as bad as others, but still you have it.

    2. you are an arrogant dick.

    3. be happy you dont live near my place since i would love to kick your ass for that attitude.

  • haha honestly i m from germany too but i have to say i luv ur attitude towards this guy......i hte living in this country with people lie him ;)

  • your "th" was to clear, try "s"- sound instead for a better german accent.

  • Ja finde ich auch. Du sprichst 'into' eher 'intu' aus.

  • But I think it is important to stick to one or the other, British or American. I always found that the teachers spoken with a good British accent whereas the pupils were more inclined to try an American accent. I think the American accent is easier to copy.

  • What a waist of tape,lol!!!

  • Well in my opinion you have an accent. I'm German and I def have an accent and I speak in the same way like you xD

You can hear it e.g. in the words "finest" "into" blabla and so on.

    Your are arrogant.

  • lol

  • lol idd XD

I say, you have at least made no grammatical mistakes while speaking. And as a non-native 'engrish' speaking man I can say that is no easy task, compared to commenting ;)

  • I love the German accent. I think its cute.

  • Lannngweiliiigg lol!

  • I am german but I really don't have any german accent...I even can switch between a couple of english accents...

  • nice try! just try and think of the following words quicker.

  • yes your english is very good you sound posh british english well done

  • yes, your english is very good. sounds like british english to me.

  • Yes very good, very clear English:) You do have a subtle accent but it's lovely:)

  • even if you didn't have an accent (which you do) you are still soo obviously German judging by your appearance alone. my parents are from germany so i can easily spot you natives from a mile away: the clothes, the shoes - all dead giveaways :)

  • Hehehe... so you can tell originates by appearence, huh? I'll make things easier for you: concerning those "dead giveaways"... the clothes I'm wearing in this video cost about $400 which is not even that much for me anyway. I wear Hugo Boss, Seidensticker and mostly Camel Active stuff (which is part of Seidensticker and the shirt and jacket there are from the last spring collection). Seidensticker is an old German tailoring brand. I buy new clothes almost every month. Do you envy me now? Hahaha.

  • wow..ich wuerde nie so viel geld ausgeben fuer klammotten.. but that's just because the clothing sold here is of poor quality because it is made in china.. if i wanted to spend that kind of money on clothes then i would end up with 30 pieces of crap. i wouldn't say that i envy you though - i'm not that materialistic :P

  • at what point of the video did you see his shoes??? ;)

  • lol obviously not in the video - i meant like when i'm out and about and i see a tourist

  • God, slight German accents are really sexy. xD You sound perfect.

  • you have an accent, but it's very cute

  • why thank you =)

I say this with great respect for your accomplishment. I'm a Native German myself, have resided in the USA since age 14. Thirty years have passed, my English is of Native proficiency, but my accent will remain until I die. You, too, can immigrate, yet won't ever change your accent!

Was ist daran neu?

  • WTF??? what's that got to do with my comment on YOUR comment?

  • The guy in the video is attractive...are you denying that?

When I was your age, I was attractive too.

You are 25 NOW, however....(fill in your own blank).

As for your original comment; it was unnecessary and pretty lame. Again, you would be the only one to disagree.

  • Dude, hate to break this to you...you DO have an English. Btw feel free to check out my English speaking vid ('Have Faith and Buffy in you Life') and tell me how my accent is. I'm also native German, so you should be able to judge.

  • woa hammer. keine freunde oder was? schreibst du deine kommentare mit wörterbuch? Komm geh warcraft spielen mit deinen "native english speaking friends" hahaha du mof

  • Good grammatical English but very obvious German accent: 'V' for 'W' sound, guttural 'R' and emphasis on the wrong syllable in 'difference.' But perfectly understandable!

  • =]]]]]]]

  • auslautverhärtung sage ich nur!!

  • Well my pronounciation differs from time to time anyway, I am aware of that. This phenomenon is induced by switching from one language to another. It may also occure when I switch from Latin to German e.g.. It wouldn't appear in longer speech.

  • you speak it very well.

Still sound german tho, in the way you speak as well as accent.:P

    Not a bad thing!

  • Why, thank you! :)
