  • @shelly2shoe Wow, shelly2shoe, I almost forgot to answer your question (lol).. The verse that you spoke has the answer in exactly what you wrote. He said go tell them I'll meet them in Galilee.. Since when is delivering that particular message equate to preaching the gospel of christ?

  • @shelly2shoe And in that same chapter, back up a little bit and go to verse 6, "I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world...." And that will explain why he indicated about 'their word' in the 20th verse.

  • @shelly2shoe That would be The Gospel, according to St. John, 17:20

  • @shelly2shoe, You can go to a different version of the scripture (we know there are many).. The problem here is that if you reference scriptures where Jesus gave any authority to anyone, they were always men. Being a messenger or delivering a message is one thing, but Jesus praying in 17:20 - "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word, meaning the 'apostles'" Were any of the apostles women?

  • @anotheronem The scripture tells us that we be of one mind (Romans 15:6). If we don't believe the same thing, then anything I say YOU are not going to agree with. If you don't give me any specifics from the scripture, then I AM NOT going to agree. The scripture you reference (Luke 24:5-9), I don't see any evidence of Jesus choosing Mary M. The angels (the two men) spoke unto them and it shows where they told the disciples. Where is the autorization of Mary preaching the Gospel of Christ?

  • what the verse was meaning when she and two other women was at Yashua thats hebrew version of jesus tomb when he appear to them and told them them tell the apostle that he was risen from the dead. explain i beleive being a messegnere is like preaching. she was with him at the upper room.

  • @fathersonnholyspirit - Can you tell me what scripture you are speaking of where Jesus and/or his apostles gave woman the authorization to preach the gospel. Sisters may preach the gospel. But I love what Paul spoke in Philippians 1:18 - What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice... So Jesus will confirm everything upon his return will deal with this.. We can agree to disagree...

  • @mikemillion2000

Mary Magdalene is the first preacher and JESUS chose her specifically to be first and told her to share this good news with the other apostles. I have problems when people minimize the role of Mary M.

    Mark 16:9

  • You can preach if you want, but don't say that Jesus authorizes it. If we look specifically to the scriptures, and ask god for his understanding, we can plainly see that he never chose any Woman to preach the gospel.

  • @mikemillion2000 Jesus authorizes...sister preach the Gospel. I do open air!!!!! and people get saved!

  • @mikemillion2000 mary magelden was evanglist not a bishop or and elder or decon men role

  • @shelly2shoe Hello - Hmm, Mary Magdeline an evangelist.. And what scripture was that again that backs up your statement. And I"m thinking you'll answer my question quicker than fathersonnholyspirit, as she (I"m thinking it's a 'she'), who has not responded to me yet. I don't mind if folk don't agree with me, it happens, my only point is asking you to confirm what you believe in and that can initiate intelligent discussion.

  • 1 Corinthians 33: For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

34: Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

35: And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

36: What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

  • Because people run to these ministries by the thousands or so does not make it God's doing. The world is a big place, but a lot of people it run to all surts of stuff and not God. Does that make his word wrong no. Then you can look at like this, a lot of people run to the Churches, but does that make all of those people saved. The answer is NO. You have false doctrine which loves looking like the world and then true doctrine who does not mind going against the grain no matter how people feel.

  • We need 2 look at what people are saying when they say people wont get saved. They may not if they follow this & find out the truth from some1 else. We can end up being a stumbling block. God's will is his will and he has order. Why would he tell woman from the beginning that the man will rule over thee because of the fall. Order is not the curse. Sin is the curse, but God's order is his will. Why are we trying to create some kind of new revelation when God's word has never changed.

  • It doesn't really matter what any of us think or believe! It's what God has called her to. If He called her, He will bring the sheep to her.

  • God has not called her you must understand very little about the bible.

  • Deleted the first one due to missing words!

@NWAfan, I tell you that I do know, "the letter killeth, but the Spirit gives life." And it seems that you are going purely by the letter.

I never said she was called b/c I don't know her personally. "IF" God called her," then never mind man says, God will bring the sheep to her.

I'll tell you what I find ironic is the men (and women) who sit and do nothing for Jesus but yet judge those who dare to believe what He's told them.

  • @norrisonian Amen, awesome last statement!

  • @NWAfan Yes He did!

  • @norrisonian Amen!

  • I have no problem with aoman preaching under the discipline and guidnce of a man. Butunder no circumstances is a woman allowed to be a pastor, elder , bishop or deacon.

  • ANyone who thinks a woman can preach is not even saved.

  • @NWAfan Who are you to judge?

  • Its in the bible find me a woman who was an ordained Pastor or Bishop in the bible.

  • @NWAfan Lame comment/question.

Jesus is Pastor and Bishop and because I am in Him and He in me and preaches as He wishes through me.

  • Utter nonsense!
