  • Your country is led by a fickle worm.

  • The American voter doesn't have a choice!!! Either we vote for Obama or we get whatever idiot the Republican Party gives us. That is reality! So either way we get a puppet of the corporations.

  • @TrojanIIID It doesn't sound that great on paper, but you're best option would be to move to Canada.

  • because the us is not in debt

  • McCain looks so damn smug in those debates.

  • obama was against "the hatchet" aka spending freeze, and what does he do in his FIRST state of the union? "SPENDING FREEZE!"

what a political strategic genius... he plays 3D chess with the repubs right??

  • lol @ u punks listening to politition. how about folowing this. get a job live your life. If somthing goes wrong don't blame anyone. don't you see what these people are doing?? they are making him (obama) out to be a "terrible president" as if all the previous ones told the whole truth and nothing but the truth. we get it!! he is black and people don't want another black president or even consider voting for another black so lets bash him. yeeeaahh sooo smart !!! i didn't vote...SUE ME!!

  • STOP VOTING THESE SCUMS! THEY ARE ALL THE SAME! You should wake the fuck up, stop believing all their crap! They are good in persuading you, but don't get fooled! They are the same bastard race!

  • what about kenya.. he was born in hawaii so he's not a foreigner.. and if Palin is voted into office in 2012 i'm pretty sure the world would collapse

  • worldwide we have to think outside the box, as they say, the actual economic model caused the crisis, it CAN'T be solved with concepts involved with it, we need a new model

  • If you look at any long term economic recovery in history - it invloves significant tax & spending cuts.

Where as every economic crisis in history involves growing Government, and higher taxes.

The solution is not a spending freeze, it's a massive CUT IN TAXES & THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT.

  • The problem with the spending freeze isn't that it's a change of position for Obama. The problem with it is that, thrown against the spending that will still remain, it's like using a $700 rebate on a $70,000 Escalade as a justification for buying the Escalade. It doesn't make buying an Escalade a good idea! (The "Escalade" in this example is the massive spending that stays in the budget, btw.)

  • oops

  • Stfu everyone. Top Economist reports the GREAT DEPRESSION IS OVER! Obama thus did his job so just stfu.

  • Although I don't blame Obama, he should still stick to waht he says and what he promised. It hasn't gotten too bad yet, but if it's really because he's worried about what the reps think, then screw that. He should do what he thinks is right for the whole country, not just the politicians sitting around him. I agree with his plans a lot, they sound great, but only if he starts that up.

  • Sadly, you're probably right. :(

  • Obama is a corporate whore just like the Republicunts.

  • People were rightly concerned that Sarah Palin could become President, if anything happened to McCain, but Obama shows you don't need her when the President appoints the wrong people to key positions in the Administration.

Is Obama the first President to appoint his own political assassins?

In the present situation, Marc Antony would have a hard time convincing anyone that these people "are all honourable men."

  • your interpretation of how obama will shift assistance program spending to agribusiness subsidies during the great recession is whacked.

either you are way way way too cynical or you are just really trying to tear down the pres.

maybe you should sit back and wait once in a while?

  • wow

  • Got to love Obama taking himself down to the Mat. Always the worst way to hit the floor.

  • Let's make clear that we are now a year further down the road and circumstances have changed. Personally I don't think it is a bad thing to have a president who can change his mind about things (depending on circumstances or availability of info).

  • There's no way in hell Obama will get re-elected come 2012. It's ironic how everything John McCain said he would do, Obama denied, and then turned around and did himself.

I didn't want McCain, but now I wonder if we picked the wrong guy after all. . . .

    Where's Hillary? ;)

  • "I was very negative about Mr. Bush, but I think that Mr. obama makes him look like a genius." - Marc Faber

Faber is a famous economist who predicted the economic crisis, which the "expert" government could not do.

  • the best part of tonites borring speech was the end! lmao! barak HUSSAIN obama is a little to late to try to make up for his terrible first year.. and i hope he failes again..OBAMA SUCKS.

  • Thanks for making it very clear that you want us to make massive cuts to the military. You have undermined your own position to the point where if anyone (for whatever reason) quotes you on anything, people will be able to point to this video to discredit you. Advancements in training and weaponry have saved an uncountable number of American lives, but hey, you're a Turk right? What does that matter to you.

  • I have been saying this since the election. Obama is a closet conservative. In practice he is more conservative than Bush was. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but his campaign even announced this on Faux news themselves in an attempt to appeal to the republican constituents who were still fence-sitting.

  • wtf is wrong with this person

if he think he soo smart and can do something about it

why dont he be the president......

  • what a retarded comment ...

  • don't ask a question like that when you know that he looks like a muslim (which is something i shouldn't say but is true).

  • this is a huge ripp off

  • Ron Paul 2012!

    BUY GOLD!!!

  • @xxxRightThePowerxxx Your words make me hurt inside.

  • HAHAHA you make me laugh that was a joke right?

  • Cenk is a dumbass for voting for Obama. Could he not foresee Obama is a politician? Both parties work for the corporations and the CFR.

  • Well I'm glad that the economy was there to provide a learning curve for the guy. The fact is can't make the tought decisions, he has no experience and would rather be cheered at speeches (he had roughly 300 last year) and holding partys ( one every three days) or go golfing.

  • 'Brown's win assured Obama's reelection'

Obama went to the state itself to campaign for Coakley, the democrats are deep in damage control, the Brown win was the biggest upset ever.

    You are fucking stupid.

  • Start over...

    Are you really that naive..

It took them a year to get this far..

How could they start over whilst losing seats in the senate, dishesion within their own party and only 38% actually supporting a public option.

Mate, it's just not going to happen. Obama is not some strategist, he is an inexperienced ego-fuelled populist no-nothing.

  • its funny how cenk and other progressives say their "fiscal conservatives" yet they support a totalitarian health bill that will not only take away our freedoms, it will also bankrupt this nation, and their other solution is to sacrifice our soldiers lives by cutting their budget? the soldiers fight and die for our freedom but the liberals are still willing to stab them in the back, tax and spend liberals not only hate america and our values, they also hate our troops

  • Cenk doesn't support the bill. It gives too much to the corps.

  • How come Clinton was able to balance the budget yet still create 22 million new jobs??????? We should find out how he did it and start from their!!!!!!

  • the government spends way to much money.

  • They wanted to loose the 60 seat majority deliberately...

God some people are just so so stupid.

  • It's funny that all you people were calling the tea partiers and fox news for claiming Obama's spending was dangerous.

    You people are such fools.

  • I voted for obama, and I never thought I would regret it, but then I remember the only other option. McCain and Palin. so basically we had 2 shitty choices, and one piece of shit just had cologne on to make himself smell better. fuck obama fuck democrats fuck republicans fuck John McCain I want a new party
  • @bevon17 We always have two shitty choices, we never have real choices. I admire the few congressmen who tried to expose Geithner in the hearings, but they are mostly alone and fighting to survive. one of them, here in IN, Burton (decades of a solid seat in a solidly Republican district) almost did not survive the primary here in IN. I reluctantly joined Tea Party, even though they are "out Republicaning" the Republicans. At least they are not beholden to Goldman or Morgan, etc.

  • @bevon17 It is not left/right, it is not liberal/conservative, it is not capitalism/socialism.

It is poor against rich, it is you and me paying for the wars that have made many rich.

    RON PAUL 2012

  • ANYONE is better than republicans!

  • @bobbytiger

    man just face is

    I voted for Obama,

    You Voted for MCcain

To be honest we are both two citizens who are getting anal raped by any one in office.

McCain was never given the chance to eff up, but for all we know, he could and would have done the same thing that Obama is doing now.

    fuck democrat

    fuck republicans

  • @bevon17

    I have absolutely

    NO problem,

    with your analysis.

    Having said that,

it's time to (again) bend over, cause,

the "State of the Union", (as if we already didn't know it), starts shortly.

  • Cenk nailed it on the head. Fuck defense spending. Compare our defense spending to the rest of the world. This is the 2010, not the 1940s.

  • Good thing THAT IS NOT WHAT OBAMA IS DOING. My dem friends are absolutely acting like utter fucking idiots not paying attention TO WHAT OBAMA IS ACTUALLY SAYING!

  • @someperson111 What he says and what he does are two different things

  • That's an apt point. HOWEVER, the freeze isn't across the board, like too many Dems are saying (which makes them look stupid) it's a scalpel to certain waistful programs while giving additional money to other programs.

  • there is victory in defeat!!

the French taught us that gem!!

  • And a Marine told them "retreat hell, we just got here".

  • Why a country like the U.S.A needs to subsidise it's farming industry as if it was a third world country I find unbelievable...

  • for your info, France subsidizes its farming industry to a much larger degree, and France is, according to so many far-leftie socialists, the best Country in the World in which to live

that is, if you don't mind rude people, smelly women, dirty cities and dog shit everywhere!!

  • on the upside, there are no niggers, spics and jews in france...just the kinda place you want to live there genie..amirite?

  • may i suggest you go and soak your inflated head in that goofy tank you brag about!!

BTW, if i liked Japanese cars as you do, i would be driving a GTR, not a broken down 350Z,...but then again that's likely all you can afford, amirite?? hey?

  • Face it guys. Obama has duped us all. Who would've believed a year ago that he would only prove to be a coward and a liar... Thinking about all the time, money, and hope we gave him makes me sick. He took advantage of the American peoples hope for change only to advance himself. I just hope we as a people don't fall for his type of 'snake oil' charm again,

  • Having said all of that, lets be real. John McCain and Vice palin? Lord have mercy.

  • With Obama leaning more and more towards the policies McBush ran upon, honestly Whats the difference?

  • The truth is that McCain was more qualified to handle the economy then the inexperienced lying Obama.

  • But that's the thing.

The Pres. does not handle the economy. His job is to pick people who can. A Pres. is not required to hold undergraduate degrees in all gov matters.

Only to identify the will of the people and needs of the country and pick the best people.

McCain would have without a doubt picked the same people. If Obama picked up Bushes guys, you don't think his successor with the same economic policies would? Exactly.

This is the establishment in play. Not any 'lack of experience'.

  • Give a Republican an inch and he'll take Alpha Centauri. Give a Democrat an inch and he'll ask how much he can give to a Republican.

  • Looks like big money special interests are getting to Barack.

  • It is utterly ridiculous, the USA spends more than $100 billion more on its armed forces than all of the other top ten biggest spending countries put together!

A $100 billion more, than them all combined!

No other country even spends $100 billion!

  • and when the shit hits the fan, whos the first one there?

thats why we spend so much

  • Here's the thing DaytonaRoadster, do you honestly think that because the USA spends more than $100 billion more than the next ten top spenders combined, it could win a war against China, France, The United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, Saudi Arabia and India all at once? Because baring in mind all of these countries put together spend less.

Obviously this situation will never happen, but I think that the figures show that the USA is paying WAY WAY WAY too much on its military.

  • Hold on... its a lot more than $100billion, wanna check those numbers....

  • No it's not... The USA spends $607 billion, while the next rest of the top ten spend $476.4 billion combined. Therefore the USA spends "more than $100 billion more".

The next biggest spender is China with $84.9 billion.

  • @ransomdave

i suspect that 600 billion number is a little out dated..

last i heard, it's closer to 800 billion...

i know for sure it's surpassed 700 billion..

  • As elnegrobembon pointed out.

  • My hope is that Obama is using the Bugs Bunny strategy. The Republicans say, "NO" to everything, so propose spending cuts, and watch the Republicans oppose cuts before they realize what they are saying.

  • Are you retarded?

I think the inteelectual facade that was Obama has well and truly dissapeared. Wake up, the guy is an inexperienced naive candidate that should have never been president.

  • @willsbanana

Misspelling "intellectual" does not help your credibility.

  • keyboard was dying

  • I have switched to the Green Party. I think they are too far Left, but when Greens compromise with the corporatitsts, they will end up in the right place.

  • At one time the Democrats were real liberals and the Republicans were real conservatives. Today they're neither. Both parties are fucked up and that means we're screwed.

  • Absolutely agree!!! Both parties are screwed!

  • Another reference from Babylon 5.I believe this new breed of Republicans are Shadow allies with George.W.,Cheney,Rove & their followers as the Drakh..

  • Cenk, Cenk, Cenk... sometimes a hatchet is just a hatchet...

  • foreigner...? i'm pretty sure hawaii is in the states

  • @xxxRightThePowerxxx

If you Elect Palin, we are not taking economic refugees.

    Palin 2012 = US bankruptcy 2013

  • No, dude. You're pathic. Telepathic.

  • fuck off troll.

  • What do I fear, nothing, but our government

  • Not even spiders?

  • spiders are our friends

  • Hit the nail on the head Cenk, we, like the blue whale, have no natural enemies, only folks at the top to tell us to be scared, very scared.

They have succeeded,, BE afraid of the afghanies, the Iraquis, Iranians,Yemini, Hell lets be afraid of the Somali's.

    H1N1, Y2k,

    It's all in the plan

  • My hope, Obama says, " I thought when I was elected, that I could bring the parties together. As I have found out, both parties are the same, I cant even get my party to side with me, too many republicans in democrats clothing.

There is nothing I can do by myself so I have decided, today, to resign. Live with Biden for the next three yrs. then elect who u want.... It will not matter.

  • People vote by freely deciding where to spend their own money.

Capitalism is individual voluntary exchange. The one way to become successful in this economic system is to satisfy the needs and wants of people since it is a voluntary system.

Socialism is about force. Success is only achieved by mutual corruption with politicians, since govn't controls a greater amount of the contracts.

Socialism is obama forcing taxes upon you. Then solely dictating where it will be spent to pander for votes

  • Maybe we should just wait and see what's going to happen. Obama is looking at information that none of us have access to. I'm guessing when Obama got into the white house and saw the real numbers he realized we are in alot more trouble than he thought.

  • imcdowall i hope your right but it's already been a year since he was elected, we are losing our super majority in congress, he hasn't been able to pass any real kind of change, there has been no standing up to wallstreet. obama is a pussy, i suppose we should have suspected it from the start but we all figured it was best to go with the one who promised the most, in the end it's all we can do.

  • @thuzan117 That's pretty unrealistic. We elected a president not a king.

  • Cenk dot you know Hoover IGNORED Mellon? Mellon wanted to liquidate the bad debt and assets in the system and let the recession run its course, but did Hoover listen? NOPE. Roosevelt only made it worse with his New Deal.

  • fucking depressing

  • Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

  • Stop waiting for Obama, or any politician for that matter. It is, has always been, and always will be up to ordinary people to organize and work for what they believe in. There are no saviors, educate yourself and act!

  • Oh but when activists actually go out and do something similiar you all call them redneck idiots.

  • I've never called anyone a redneck idiot. But a lot of people who claim to be on the side of the people have so I understand where you're coming from. Instead of getting out there and organizing people with real grievances, they laugh at them and dismiss them. Then people with hidden agendas take advantage of that very real rage people are feeling and point it at easy targets like the gays, immigrants, black people, liberals, and so on. It's sad. It divides people who should be standing together

  • thats it im running for president, look for me in 2025 (give or take a few terms on the plus side) if there still a US gov.

  • go for it

  • This horrible first black president a corporate sell out. If I knew this was going to happen I would voted for nobody. What can we do corporation have so much power maybe we could never do anything to them from the very beginning.

  • @bumfire007

we can kill the corporations :P

  • No, we need President Sarah Palin for she will ROOT OUT all forms of evil corruption in Washington and promote true conservative causes for all people in this country for Palin has the POWER OF GOD HERSELF!

  • that sounds like your joking

  • @frictionRx5 he's better than obama and mccain.

  • Duuude, troool, you're being fooled into giving him attention

  • umad?

  • frictionRx5. You complain about Cenk's one sided statement by making several statements even more one sided? I think you should do a little research before you start with your Fascist BS. Fascism requires a melding of religious, Govt interests. Over protection of corporate interests. Overzealous love of patriotic symbols. Disgust for intellectuals. Rampant militarism. Disdain for labor. Suppression of human rights. Obsession with crime and punishment. Seems more right than left. Clueless you are

  • dude, he's a troll, don't feed

  • Just rate down, mark as spam and move on

  • You Americans take things far too literally.

  • From what I can tell, alot of people in the country are angry.

I'm so envious of Conserva-nuts like you, I wish I lived in a Fantasy world too.

You and I are both taking it in the Ars. But I know who's phucking me, you on the other hand think the Republicans who are ramming their d!#c$ in your anus are doing so because they like you.

  • @frictionRx5 republicans are fascist and Cenk has been attacking Obamas typical politican policies for almost a year now. You're so funny with your Glen Beck on meth post.

  • uuups

  • Politics is not about courage, it is about compromise. Having principles, requires courage. Most politicians care only for power and that does not require principles.

  • If nothing else, defense costs, will take the USA down.

  • The Marxists are upset?? Don't worry I am sure the deadbeats will still get thier handouts

  • I wanted Hillary and hoped she would go all the way against Obama. If she won Michigan and Florida. SHe would have run against McCain. I hope she runs again. Show this guy the DOOR.

  • My issue with Hilary is that she was once on the BOD of Wal-Mart.

Bill Clinton enacted "Free trade" with China (A communist country) greatly accelerating the importation of US jobs.

Bill Clinton also eliminates the Glass-Steagall act, enacted after the great depression to separate consumer banks from investment banks, which many believe is the single biggest contributing factor creating our current economic situation.

BOTH parties have sold us out, Clintons INCLUDED!

  • Clinton was more Republican that Bush and your post shows great examples of that

  • hmmm those are some good gripes.

  • I feel like a retard for supporting Obama. I wanted to vote for Hillary, but got swept away with all that hopey-changey thingy. In my defense smarter people than me got hoodwinked to. Anywho in 2012 I will correct my mistake.

  • @saper321

Out of curiosity why Hillary? I do not think any of the candidates were going to bring any real change. Hillary maybe would have once upon a time. Back when she tried to bring about universal health care. But remember that eventually she backed down as well. Who knows though...

  • My issue with Hilary is that she was once on the BOD of Wal-Mart.

Bill Clinton enacted "Free trade" with China (A communist country) greatly accelerating the importation of US jobs.

Bill Clinton also eliminated the Glass-Steagall act, enacted after the great depression to separate consumer banks from investment banks, which many believe is the single biggest contributing factor creating our current economic situation.

BOTH parties have sold us out, Clintons INCLUDED!

  • @fret2424

I don't care about any of that. The only thing I care about is here & now. And Obama is blowing it on ALL fronts. I guess that is what you get when you send inexperienced weasel to do a job.

  • @saper321

hes not inexperienced, he just dont care

  • Inexperienced weasel? Or, an experienced weasel who really knows how to play the game?

I don't see a solution in either. I'd prefer a third option, if that were possible...........

  • RON PAUL 2012

    STOP ALL THE WARS!!!!

  • Nader/Kucinich 2012!

  • obama= suuuper-megaaaa epic failure. run a progressive against him in 2012!!!

  • Since when did Republicans take the reign on defense spending? They have to be the strong ones on defense? When did this happen? True and traditional conservatives would be against this crazy interventionist spending on wars!

"Mr. Republican", President Taft was against the formation of NATO for goodness sake!

Ron Paul is seemingly the last true conservative in Washington today.

    Despicable.

IMO, 2012 is Ron Paul's last chance to take office...or another Bush/Obama will take office!!!

  • I hope you mean Truman not Taft.

  • lol No. However, I did make the mistake of calling him President Taft...I was referring to Senator Robert Taft of Ohio. He opposed the new deal and many government programs sponsored by FDR.

He believed the interventionist foreign policies that NATO formed were unnecessary and would invoke our foreign enemies to do worse and more powerful damage to the rest of the world.

    IMO...he was a true conservative.

  • Haha I was hoping to bait you, but you know your stuff. And fairly correct as well, NATO led directly to the Warsaw Pact.

  • @anthony6661 and washington needs a house call

  • can u say veto?

  • Cenk you've never been serious - only Ron Paul is serious about defense spending - in the real world he's the only one who'd do the right thing - Ron Paul as president couldn't do much, he'd have hella resistance from the politicos - but he'd make it a lot harder to increase spending, and the bank bailouts wouldn't have happened.

  • I am still surprised by the view that he is 'kowtowing' to Republicans trying to be bi-partisan. Just look at who has lined Obama's pockets to see he's just another slick politician doing the bidding of his masters who made him a wealthy man. Just like Blaggo, he's a politician from the Chicago sausage-making machine, selling himself to the jighest bidder.

  • Ron Paul would cut defense spending

  • What's insane is that, despite all Obama's cowtowing to the crazy Republicans, they still hate his guts! He's trying to play the center game but it's not working. Instead of everyone sort of liking him, the conservatives still hate him and always will, and now progressives (like me) hate him too. The only people that still like Obama are poor, uneducated peopled who don't read the papers or really follow what's going on in the world. And, unfortunately for him, these people aren't big voters.

  • What..?

Obama isn't trying to win the conservatives..

That ship has well and truly sailed. He is trying to pull back the independents, you know the people who's votes actually swing elections.

Obama is going down in 2012 no matter what he does.

  • just realized mccain is left handed

  • It looks like Obama isn't really a better president than George W Bush .. He is just a much, much better liar.

  • Ugh! Listening to him use the hatchet analogy over and over is like watching a comedian recycle jokes - it stops being funny and automatically makes me suspicious that he's getting his lines from someone else.

  • wow THE TURKS straying from their SAVIOR ! IF a democrat fails call him a REPUBLICAN and then nominate another democrat that will fail ! makes PERFECT SENSE ! obama in case everyone didn't already know it is TRUE to africa and his people at the EXPENSE of the rest of EVERYONE ELSE ! next on the agenda ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION REFORM ! LMAO !

  • i hated Bush because he's hardcore and doesn't listen to anybody, but atleast he did it for the country....Obama is just full of bullshit.

  • he did it for his buddies to make money for them and his family..the Bush family has investments that reaped in massive profits due to the war..he like all the others he represents are all about money and power for their benefit..the people are just there to be used

  • all you stupid fucks who voted for him CAUSE OF CHANGE! should kick yourself hard in the nuts. HIT yourself really really hard in the dick plz

  • Yes, and I'm sure that McCain and the dumbest woman in the World would be doing MUCH better.

  • I'm not saying they would and it doesn't matter anyway they didn't stand a chance, but all these morons who voted for him because they thought he was magic or something...god I hate this country

  • You are absolutely right. I just wish Obama actually delivered on his promises I went to his campaign rallies and voted for him. He's changed I think he has tried to hard to reach out and befriend the god DAMN conservatives to much. He needs to go more progressive. GO BLUE. PEACE MAN. x_X

  • Economically I am going to have to say yes to that one.

You people voted Obama in because he spoke well and the media essentially told you to.

Americans are so easily led it's embarrassing.

  • @Pull0utBoy

Some of us voted for Obama because we had to choose between him and a Palin train-wreck. As much as I've grown to despise Obama, I'd vote for him any day over that crazy bitch. My criticism with Obama is that he's doing nothing and changing nothing. Palin and Co., on the other hand, would be doing a lot and changing a lot -- just not in the direction that helps.

  • Obama and bush should have been impeached for giving so much fucking money to those snake banks. What the fuck were they thinking? LET THE BANKS FAIL!

  • Let the banks fail...

    Are you retarded..?

  • LOL

  • Obama does not run anything, there are many people above him. NO change will come until you figure that out

  • I have felt that way for a very long time but wanted Obama to prove me wrong; his actions have been opposite of what platform he ran on.

I never knew a politician to be so two faced about his policy vs political rhetoric.

At least with Bush you knew where that moron stood!
