Suggest you look at the Aussie guy who is the world record holder for Tetris. He cleared 40 lines in 25 seconds. Good video.

actually it does get faster when you get to level 20 and so on. Try playing the regular game and see if you can get to level 29, where it jumps to a speed at which it's impossible to get any further. I've made it to 27 once, but I've only seen video of a level 29 player. Also, level 19 height 1 is not too hard. I think the record is height 4.

All true. It does get faster at L29, there are videos of this on YouTube. Granted, L19H1is not hard for experts like you and me, but it is VERY hard in the grand scheme of things. Prob 99.9% of people who ever played Tetris could never do it, and that is millions of people. Shooting a round of golf 5 under par at Pebble Beach is easy for someone on the PGA tour, but it's still incredibly hard to do. You get my point ; )

Yeah, it's a good accomplishment to beat level 19 on game B, but certainly not the fastest player ever. But good job anyway and I'll keep an eye out for your next video where you make it to level 29! (something i've never done but i keep trying)

Have you tried playing the Tengen version of Tetris on the NES?

Yes, I own a copy. Only good thing about it is two-player cooperative mode. That can be a lot of fun. Unfortunately the folks at Tengen severely underestimated the ability of Tetris players and the max speed of the game is equivalent to roughly level 12 on NES... VERY slow for an advanced player! If I play it I just there piling up lines, get to about 800 (not bragging, it's not an accomplishment) then get bored and shut it off. Lousy game except for 2-player co-op.

I have it, it's not that great. It's a rather poor program and doesn't play very well.

That is seriously amazing. I still remember going to the arcade as a kid in the day and trying to handle the intensity of the higher levels. I don't think I still can do it :)
