I would have to say my favorite home is Arborwatch, then probably Bruma's house,lastly Benirus Manor. Rosethorn hall is to expensive and I don't like Skingrad to much....

@osbysweden You have to distroy the great gate. and if that doesnt work then bribe her with money, other than that your screwed

@osbysweden You don't have to destroy the great gate. Another thing that I do alot is go to the Imperial City Arena and just finish those faction missions. It will take 30 minutes to an hour to beat.

@alfiesmachinima no You have to do a quest. And I killed them before i bought the house. and so i dont get the quest. thats the problem about going on a killing spree and getting triple kills and over kills. Lol. What Im saying is that, you might not get the quest, if you have killed them.

@spidey7778 I have no clue. I wish i could help. but i think i killed the servant when i was on a killing spree. She/he is around the town. you have to look for he or she. Ill comment you back later when i find my oblivion book, and tell you,

Oblivion is a great game but I think it lacks alot of features. For one I wish they would of added more homes, or at-least some nicer ones. I would like to have a large mansion or a small castle, but people like me who are to poor to afford a hard-drive for the DLCs are stuck with this. Not that this is bad.

@Sunderland4745 I'd like to point out, there's an expansion called "The Fighter's Stronghold," where you become the king of a moderately sized castle. Other expansions are "The Vile Lair," "The Wizard's Tower," and "The Thieves Den." In The Vile lair, you get a cave with a prison, a dark minion who kills for you and brings back the loot, every time he kills your infamy raises one, and there's a vampire's coffin. Try some of the expansions.

did you close the oblivion gate outside the city for the, "aid for bruma" quest? if not, do that, she should sell it to you. if she still wont sell, use a charm spell and she should talk to u hope this helps

You have to do the guest with the painting, everyone in the comments are talking about. All you have to do is bribe the Countess of chorrol. (in the castle) and talk to her about the problem she has. and then look for my vid about the walk through of that quest.
