@kaa13 Ya, well they obv. lost the war-but not every German soldier was a die-hard nazi. Just young guys who got caught up in a worldwide struggle. The Allies were partners w another brutal regime-the Soviets-don't forget. Stalin was no "day at the beach" either.

He reinforces a useless piece of African territory when his best army is dying in the snow. All those JU 52 were needed for the 6th army airbridge. Hitler was not only a murderous racist, he was a miltary idiot too.

@5000433 I tend to disagree. Germany invaded western Europe countries very, very fast.

Then had to handle 3 fronts : Leningrad, Moscow, Stalingrad. However when allies landed in North-Afrika this new front was too much for the german army : a part of the war machine was sent to Afrika but should have been

sent to the eastern front. Not sure they could win anyway because Russians stopped germans at a few kilometers from Moskow, forcing Hitler to get Kaukasus Oil. And yes there is oil in Libya ...

@mccauley404 i agree on the whole. The main thing is that Germany was too small and weak to carry out its allotted role in hitlers absurd and unachievable plans for territorial domination.
