Schwiegermutter is the German word for mother-in-law, not for stepmother. Stiefmutter would be stepmother.

To answer some of your questions:

1. Of course, as already said, "stepmother" means "Stiefmutter", NOT "Schwiegermutter" (mother-in-law)

2. I agree, "die Fee" would be better for "fairy"

3. prince means "der Prinz". It's almost the same as in English but instead of the english R you have to use the German R (the one in the throat ;-) )

Argh! When he pronounced the first word I became a bit angry. No german would pronounce the word Zauberer like he did. It is not "Zauberehr", you speak it more like "Zauberah".
