Mormon (LDS) TV Commercials from the 1970's and 80's #1

I totally had forgot about a lot of these ads featured here until I saw this today.There was a few that stuck with me,however.

Wow, I remember these commercials like they were yesterday. They always had great messages.

@utubin1988 yes they did that is the point how the gospel of Jesus Christ is applicable to our time, whether it is the 70's, 80's, 90's or today. Thanks again for your comment it is much appreciated. Also if you watch 1:58 the narrator is Tom Bosley the father in Happy Days and the first father is WKRP in Cincinatti's Gordon Jump.

'Dad' in number two was Dash Riprock from Beverly Hillbillies.

I think the guy who plays the father in the second commercial is the Indian who plays in the Twilight Saga movies. I could be wrong, but it looks like him.

@moparmonster1965 No but the boss "Big Guy" from "WKRP in Cincinnati" was a Mormon. Is is staring in one of the commercials: 2:04

@EscapeNewJersey Yep! The "Big Guy" Mr. Carlson's real-life name is Gordon Jump. He also played the lonely Maytag repairman for years in the 80's. He passed away a few years ago.

My favourite one is the camping commercial. I remember that one when I was about five, and had been longing to see it again for many years. I thought I never would.

Yep. It's Sterling Halloway.

@brharrii That's him. His name is Sterling Holloway. Tom Bosley (Richie Cunningham's dad) voices some of these spots as well.

There one commercial I remember seeing which was not in your compilations. It was a 1981 ad with a teenage girl named Jenny. She was standing in what appeared to be a jail cell. She was thinking of all the torments made by her family and friends. Then her father came up to her and told she was a very important person. That ad was VERY powerful!

I hope, that many people have seen those TV-CLips when they came in TV and have learned from them.

Its a long time from the 70es, but these problems are actual today, or not?
