One of my dreams is just touching the delorean. Sounds stupid but I am from Argentina and we have not any deloreans here, i saw all movies over and over again. I love it!!. Recently, a delorean was used by an important shop from here, for an advertising. The Doc came to Argentina too. It was amazing to see him making the clips.

I really love your job, customizing stock deloreans and turning them into the time machine.

I hope some day visit usa and take me a pic in a delorean.

@SVPrelude The Store (Garbarino) is one of the most important stores in Argentina, the other one is Fravega. Every year the stores fight for the best advertising. Garbarino undoubtedly won this year. Is not easy to do those commercials with the doc and the Delorean.. Search on youtube "Volver al futuro Garbarino" and you will see all the spots made. Regards!!!

How does your time machine compensate for temporal positional changes. The earth... universe is a constantly changing space, so how would your time machine return to the same "Soil" where is left from???

@trimetaler Hand wave: Time Travel takes place on the earth, so all positioning takes place relative to the earth. :)

Also, If you really think about it, simply appearing in a time changes that time, simply from the air having to move out of the way to make room for you. And a child is created by one specific event (one out of millions of sperm, one of out several eggs). So delaying the parents meeting by a tiny bit would create different children completely. So all time travel is a hand wave.

@Tustin2121 I disagree. Like Doc said "Marty, you're not thinking three dimensionally." Particles that are moving dynamically change position relative to time. If the Delorean/Traveler leave their current time frame of space they will return to the same point of departure; however, the particles (earth) and all universal matter that existed in that frame of time will have changed location in space. If you travel far enough in time you will not return to earth, but to where earth used to be.

I think you'd probably have to look at the theory of relativity. The position in space is the same relative to the earth, but relative to the sun, the earth is moving, and relative to other stars, the sun is moving. This, of course, excepts light, which always travels at c no matter what it's relative to. Perhaps Doc make his time machine always travel relative to the earth. :P

I don't purport to actually explain it, nor do I want to attempt to, because, frankly, time travel is full of holes before you even get to paradoxes and faster-than-light travel. What did you use as reference for all of the rear hatch? I built a flux compositor in my automation class. I actually got in trouble for it. But it's still in my garage. Just plug it into a cig lighter it comes on. I am really impressed with the amount of detail you have taken.. and this isn't your first one? They look nice man.

The Reactor Vents were not painted fully black in the films, they were always weathered. With an exeption of the Fiberglass car they used for "flying" scenes. For film accuracy, in my opinion they should be tinted with various shades of bronze anodizing, violet, and other tints to mimic the Hot Metal coloration of the originals. An oil wash from the hose connections to the vents would also be accurate.

That was an odd parade but hey when else can you drive a Delorean down the road at night with the doors open? All that driving slow must have really worked the cooling system. Cars from the early 80's did not have as good of a cooling system as cars do now.

If it were serious enough, I'd see about taking it to Houston. However, I can handle radiator hoses on my own. As I noted in the video - the irony is that I had a set of NEW hoses in the garage and have had them there for nearly 6 years from when I bought my first Delorean :)

@LEON13858 Deloreans are 2 seaters. The engine is in the rear, trunk in the front. Similiar to a Porsche 911. There is only enough space behind the seats in a regular Delorean for luggage.

I don't think anything too bad happened with the car. It died right when we got back to the staging area for the parade.

I made sure to get it pulled over asap and let it cool off. When the tow truck showed up we started it up for a bit to get it lined up and the engine fired right up. I won't fire it back up until the new hoses are in place. I welcome my new winter project :)
