  • I can only get six floors.

  • Is this how you could make invisible doors like in your map called "The Unseen"?

  • @EBbugattiveyron101 yeah, the door in that is transparent because its where an overlap is and the door is along a certain axis.

  • finally an informative accurate walkthrough on how to do this

  • So if you were to use the sky glitch on a map which method would use less free space this method or the 7th floor method?

  • @junkiemonkey123 Neither is better that the other memory-wise. The end result is the same.

  • were do i buy it online or game stop

  • @1994BNC if you have gamestops in your area they are likely to have it, depending on the quantity of last-gen games they keep on hand (small mall stores probably not).

  • umm dude ive been trying to make a tower out of the s stair things and i cant do anything because they are all ways walled in and i cant see anyone. any help?

  • Stack up tile #31 beside them all the way up so they won't be walled in.

  • I have a question. Are floating windows, glitches ones? Or not? Like in those Obsticle Course Vids by elitephoenix or LeFaucheur?

  • no, that doesn't use a glitch; you can put windows between stackables like that wthout doing anything special, so it looks like they are floating.

  • Alrighty Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. And BTW are you going to be making for TSFP vids?

  • no problem. yes, there will be more.

  • I hated this music, so I always got a radio.

  • what I hate is that you can turn the music off, but as soon as you preview the map, when you come back to the editor its turned right back on again.. grrrr

  • Does your cursor have to be outside of the grid? I've always done it like that.

  • yes

  • You really didn't make that clear in the video. I didn't understand that until I saw Xunits video.

  • Its explicitly stated in an annotation at 0:17. Anyways if anyone really wants to understand they will probably look at it enough to understand.

  • Dose this only work on game cube?

  • No, it works on all. It seems to be a little easier to do on Gamecube than on xbox (takes fewer tries), and on PS2 the tiles don't have to be only 1 square deep (you can overlap the edges of 3x3 tiles). You can only do it on the western and northern edges of the grid (at the southern and eastern edges of the grid, nothing will happen)

  • This totally worked. Thanks!

  • how do you merge

  • you absolutely slay me, artie

  • I didn't think you were clear enough that you have to be outside of the grid for it to work.

  • Do you know if these glitches work in TimeSplitters 2? So far the only mapmaker glitch I've been able to do is making a 13-floor map.

  • No, you can't overlap in TS2, not that I've been able to figure out. But yeah, you can keep going up forever in TS2. It might be possible to go all the way up past the 255th floor (say, floor 256), save and then load, to then find tiles overlapped on the 1st floor. In TS3 you can keep going up forever, but if you stop at floor 256 and then save, what you left on floor 256 will now be on foor 1. This "loop" only "closes off" while saving and quitting for a reload (in TS3).

  • What I mean is that as you keep going up, you won't pass by any tiles you left on floor 1... But after saving and reloading, you will find that you actually passed by any tiles that were on floor 1. Since the floor 1 tiles aren't there when you are at 256, you can put tiles anywhere without the "you can't put a tile here" redness. This is only how TS3 works, so not sure what would happen in TS2 if you did the same thing.

  • hey howdy. can you tell me how to make the floating tile like in your underwater map where there is a bloke on top of water and youre under it. i need it so i can do the river of blood

  • sorry, I never was notified about this comment (notification has seemed to be spotty lately). Anyway, in Wet Work, that was just two overlapped #31's above, and a single #31 underneath.

  • achso cool sind das glitches oder gehört das so das du eine unsichtbare rampe hoch gehst und noch son magger durch die wand kommt ^^ ?

  • Sadly I don't speak German and can't find a free translator worth a darn.

  • I belive he said something like "These are coll glitches, especially the one with the invisable ramp". The rest of the traslation said stuff like "and still son more magger by wound comes" that I could not decipher.

  • I think he meant "and still have enemies coming through the wall."You were just about right about the first translation though.

  • oh sorry

    my question is :

is that a glitch ? with the ramp ??

  • Yes, that is a glitch.

  • does this glitch work on ps2

  • Yes, its a variation of a glitch developed by SV SHARKGUN on PS2; he uses the top edge of the grid and can overlap the edges of 3x3 tiles, but I can't get 3x3's to overlap on Gamecube so I use 1x3's instead.

  • -_- ive been trying the first part for like an hour, and i cant get it to work. the part where u highlight the 6 open corridors and grab it and place it down. im doin it exactly like you are. :(

  • Put 40 open corridors all the way across the whole grid, and I garauntee two of them will overlap on the first try (well, surely within 5 tries). If you are keeping your cursor outside the grid when you pick them up, it should work, no matter what console.

  • The more tiles you put increases your chances of success. If you are having trouble on the western edge of the grid, try it on the northern edge with tiles going in that direction.

  • i would rather play the XBox verson of this game then the gamecube

  • Me too.

  • Thanks for teaching us this much easy then the other way... i was mucking around and i found out this relly wierd sky glitch... heh thanks again

  • Movie

  • yes

  • what button

  • Without breaking out the game to see, it looks like it would be X (looking at the button layout in lower right corner of the movie)

  • 0:41 how u do that

  • At 0:41 I am just deleteing tiles in the regular way. But since there are tiles overlapped there, only the tangible tile is deleted and the "intangible" tile is left behind.

  • You can do a ghost, a special zombie with this cheat!

  • instead of doing beginner do advanced

  • oh never mind, i didn't realize this was on future perfect until i read the tags and thought about that weapon(glove thing). man i need to get this game! i only have TS2.

  • Sorry, I'll clarify the title and description. Yeah, you can do tons more in TSFP than in the TS2 mapmaker. You can only play as Cortez in story maps though, which can be a real bummer if you aren't prepared for that. :(

  • DAM IT I CAN NOT DO THIS! I have the gamecube version i just followed your video step by step and it does not work for me please help me!

  • Sorry you are having trouble. Try linking a 40-tile chain of tile #1 (long line of tiles across the entire map grid) going east-to-west. Go to the far west (left) edge and zoom the view in as close as possible, then put the grapple cursor as far outside the grid as possible to pick the line of tiles up (highlight/mark the tiles first). You should get at least 1 overlap among the 40 tiles the first time. Try at least 5x. If you still don't get anything, maybe a later release was debugged?

  • dose this work on the xbox verion

i could only do this by doing it on the 7th level

  • As far as I know it does. It should work along the western (as in this vid) and northern edges of the grid, but NOT on the southern or eastern edges. Also, it does not work every single time, but if you keep picking up and putting the selected tiles back down, with the cursor outside the grid, it should work most of the time. I got lucky in that it happened the very first time here.

  • Does anyone know if these glitches also work on the Gamecube version of TSFP.

I already know that the 7-stories glitch works fine.

  • TSbuster! Hello! I have your story maps playisted on my channel. Anyway, yes, I have a Gamecube, and the movie here was made using Gamecube.

  • Thanks!

But I think I'm going to re-record those maps some time.

I'm not so happy with the quality.

  • does this thing works on ps2 to?

  • Yes, but there are some slight differences in the resulting effects. Like the secret wall shown, on PS2 I don't think the AI would see you and come out, as it would look like a solid wall to him from where he starts out. On Gamecube what the AI sees is an open space, or a transparency. I just learned this particular console difference yesterday.

  • The upper floors technique i the way I do it. Or more accurately, I did do it. I haven;t made a map in ages.I lost most of my creativity. I got fustrated with a map that I failed to create and gave up and lost all my new ideas. Will my creative spark ever return?

  • Let's hope so!

  • now people know how to build the invisible ramp in my map planet X.

sharkgun learned me that technic too, but I'm used to the 7 floor technic.

it's surprising how the gamecube mapmaker looks different from the PS2 mapmaker

  • Oh, I tried that same thing with the ramp, but it's either invisible or the tiles flicker. I was hoping there was a way to merge those kind of combinations without that happening.

  • Without invisibility, or without flickering? The flickering can usually be avoided by making something totally invisible (by avoiding edge overlaps in the same plane), if that's what you mean. If you wanted both overlapped tiles to look solid though, I don't think that's possible.

  • Damn, I didn't think so. Tried merging a #13 and #14 in the horror theme. (That tile with the glowing satanic symbol on the floor with the cross-bridge.)It was an awesome combination but it kept strobing back and forth when I moved.

  • cool
