  • Wasn't the Emperor Waltz Queen Victoria's favorite?

  • @Garrison446 Yeah, at least that's what Andre said in the video just before they played it.

  • Reminds me of the old days! :D

    I really like this song.

  • Tja des is a Musik des gibts in da Welt nicht mehr und Riuê hat es geschafft Sie mit den Volksdeppen der Maistream Medien zu vereinen.. Hut ab und meine Verehrung vor dem Herren.

  • One of the greatest musicians and showman of our time, one could watch his performances for hours and not tire of it.

  • Andre is quite a musician--making it look "easy". Love seeing the people dancing in the aisle.

  • Bravo Andre Rieu! Fantastic music, great performance.

  • what rieux is doing, has NOTHING to do with the waltzes altogether-just nominally.

  • bravo excelente me enconto es maravilloso

  • sry i'm not sure if he was the last one.

  • The guy that said that Kaiser comes from Ceasar is right. It has the same origin as Zar.

There were several "Kaiser" in the European history.

The last one was in Austria. and that is a waltz composed for Kaiser Franz from Austria.

  • Excellent performance, as usual.

  • the arts in europe at their best in the 1850to 1914 especially in germany and the austrian empire

  • beautiful

  • i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me too :)

  • VIVA AUSTRIA

  • Magnificent! My Salute to Andre and his group of wonders.

  • a little slow? i dunno

  • The intro seems slow.

  • André is the king of conducting/playing waltzes in my book. I want to see him one day in one of his spectacularly and ridiculously over-the-top live shows!

  • u can go on his website he is having a world tour in North America next year :D

  • Wouldn't it be nice if all the people of this crazy world we live in, Listened to beautiful music like this piece.

  • i agree with you :)

  • Amen! :-)

  • @austrianiceman

    u r right...

  • gr8 music... since everybody seems to find dancing at such performances offensive.. tell me, in the time gone by when the rich and the aristocrats had mozart and others in thier homes and ball rooms to play music and ppl sure did dance to those tunes .. they dint sit idle.. and thats why its waltz... whats wrong...its njoying the music anyways..

  • I never said I found it offensive. I merely stated that I wouldn't have the nerve to do it.

  • You know the Kaiser was never officially the "Kaiser.' The King in German is Konig, the word Kaiser is actually Hebrew in orgin.

  • Most times its easily translated to Emperor, not King.

  • It comes from the latin, Caesar (as in Julius Caesar). The Roman emperors took his name as a title, and from there it passed to other European monarchs (e.g. the "czar" of Russia)

  • you know that you are talking complete bullshit, do you?

  • you are wrong! his explination is correct

and adding: the King (Konig) is the title of the man who leads a cuntry (in that time)

the Kaizer( a few) ruled in an other time as there were no kingdoms but only smaler monarchies!

    it is not the same

  • It's called a Waltz. And yes it's not in old time dancing 3/4 constant time, but, if there's one piece of music that gets people dancing, it's the Waltz. It's infectious.

  • Why is he so singled out, there's not one violin solo in this piece?

  • cause he is very famous and he is the leader

  • What a beautiful piece of music! To be able to play the violin!!!!

  • Magnificent.....just stunning version.

  • wow man, Andre Rieu really had some crazy hair back in the day.

  • still does

  • The freedom to just get up & dance at an Andre Rieu performance is part of it's attraction. He encourages you to just enjoy yourself. To see you moved to the point of impulsive dance, laughter, & sheer delight is why they put so much of themselves into their performances. It is a very special honor to them if you dance, not an insult.

  • Perfect!

I did not enjoy those people dancing! No way!!!

  • Well, André seems to like it lol

  • Hi mate!

Did you enjoy them? I really think that they are out!

  • Not particularly. Personally, I don't know how they had the nerve to do that, maybe if they were champion ballroom dancers they'd have something to show off. But André was encouraging people to get up and dance, so who am I to judge?

  • Ok I finally agree with you!

    Who are we to criticise?

    Hugs from Brazil!

  • @organics4me

They're living in the moment...something us 'sickupthebutt' Americans can't seem to do anymore.....

  • Magnificent!
