Congratulations! This is so well put together! I know you have probably finished this project but I hope you keep this in your folio for future reference for employment. I wish you sucess!
The school I work in are having a WW2 sleepover this week (complete with surprise air raid). I would like to show them this during the evening. Beautifully done and I was quite choked up watching it. Thank you.
i was hystericly crying when i saw this in my history lesson, i was so sad, and the brother and sister who were being sepperated reminded me of me and my brother, thats when i cried the most :'(
Amy, Nice job. I was one of those evacuees. I left London in 1939 to go to Cambridgeshire & returned home in 1944. For more info go to British WWII Evacuees chat group. You can read many stories there.
My girl with school is going to a evacuee camp and this came in very handy. The ending give me a tear in my eye about how some of the children ended the war.
Excellent video used it to teach my class of 10 year olds about Evacuees in WW2 and it was brilliant. Head teacher observed lesson and was impressed. Thanx
evacuation was sad and cruel in a way that they would wrench children from their parents. But how many lives did it save i wonder its sad that the world would do things that would cause this to be nesscary
out of London when I was 4yrs, I had really lovely people who took me into their house. I know I had brothers and sisters nearby, but never saw them. I try to explain to my Grandchildren, my life. Now its doesn't seem so hard.

Great job I know that in 1940;s as it became more dangerous in england children were being sent to canada and the us

But they stopped that too because a ship with evacuated children abord was sunk so the Government decided to keep the Children in the UK.
