  • This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. It is intelligent, informative, and extremely helpful. And it's so much fun to hear some-one giving tips on common-sense tools, such as broccoli rubber-bands! Makes the whole process a good deal more fun. Wish you were my doctor full-time. And now, time for hand exercises! - And look for more Dr. G. Best videos of course .... MH in Sweden

  • @blixten2928 Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to hear that you've found my videos helpful.

  • Hi thank you for a very help full video I have spinal fusion lower & now had a new full hip replacement & I get sciatica very bad have you any advice

    Regards Steve

  • @SteveStaples16 The sciatica may be due to muscle referral pain from the piriformis and/or gluteus minimus. My suggestion is to try the piriformis stretch in my YT video, "Sciatica Exercises, Part 2". I would also suggest trying to find a massage therapist who can do deep massage in the low back and buttock area. If it's a muscle problem, this should help a lot. If it's actual sciatic nerve irritation, with the fusion, your options are few - medication and use of ice as needed.

  • I have a slipped disc between L4 and L5; as well between L5 and S1, I do not feel an agony, I just feel radiation sometimes mostly on the right side of my pelvis. The pain I feel if I have to level it, ranging from 5 worse, and 0 none, would be most of the time a 2.5, sometimes it get to1, and this is only if I am moving around. At night it is almost none. I am doing fisio now, and some electropuncture. I feel that it is in an evolution phase.

  • It has been one year that I stopped lifting, since I´ve felt that I should quit lifting til I get this resolved. I would like to get back to the gym, pain free, and able again to squat and deadlift. I am thinking in doing some sort of Microdiscectomy, or some other procedure. Any opinion, suggestion would be helpful. Thank you

  • I have been back to work for 10 days and I feel like I can continue my normal activities. I am a letter carrier for United States Postal Service and I walk somewhere around 8 miles a day. Dr. Best is a great communicator and knows how to deal with "Sciatica". I have given out his web site address to many of my 520 patrons, that ask about bulging disc pain. I feel that I can manage my condition with stretching and recommendations from Dr. Best. My long term goal is to be back to playing golf.

  • Thank you for your kind words. I am very happy to hear you are doing well!

  • I am glad that I discovered Dr. Best, in December 2008, on YouTube. At that point in time, I was thinking that I might not ever walk normal again. The sciatic nerve was being pinched by a bulging disc. The pain was my world and I was mentally worn out. I was off work for 6 months and had little hope, until I started Dr. Best's program. The pain was down the back of my left leg and down to my toes. I mean within 3 to 4 days of following Dr. Best's recommendations about 80% of my pain was gone.

  • Very insightful. Its refreshing to hear people talk honestly for a change.

  • Thanks for your comment!
