it's really true, i mean, i did not listen to rock/metall before i bought guitarhero 2. i started to like the songs and i started to listen do this kind of music. and now thats the only thing i do. i started playing guitar and the only thing i do is to play guitar and listen to Rock / Metal !

Metallica, AC/DC, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Megadeth and ZZ-yop are some of te bands i really like !! :D rock on dudes ! :D

battery is in rock band and it's in GH Metallica. Rock band has licensed fuel, and king nothng and at least a dozen other metallica songs but i don't know whether metallica is "exclusive" to guitar hero or not. I hope not, cause i want to get gh metallica and i hope rock band releases some more metallica tracks.

That's not the reason at all. I can't exactly tell you what is, but licensing rights belong to the artists/record label NOT a video game creator. Look at many songs like Battery and Enter Sandman that have been used in both games. It's missing because activision didn't want it in there for some reason. Not because "Harmonix thought of it first".

Well think of it like this. Metallica were one of their main advertised things in GH3. Like every rock radio station I know of made a big deal over One. Then they were in GHWT as one of the few songs hard for all instruments.

So Metallica were a big selling point in the past games.

And naturally they want them to be in latter titles.

So they need to save some hit songs for future GH games. Thats why RtL and 4HM aren't in this one probaly.

guitar hero is a sellout move. i thought metallica was making a come back with the new new album, but i guess not. guitar hero sucks, they might get a few fans, but not true fans. once the new thing that comes out after guitar hero, those "fans" will forget about metallica. metallica does not need to do a guitar hero, every album they touch turns to gold.
