This age group is also the biggest consumers of music, bigger than we are. By 14 most of these have dropped off and moved on (think of how many women you know with a REAL passion for music). Matt and his ilk attract an adult audience which is fairly small. What he needs to do is release some new material.

A really great song used for a terrible movie. This song was the only good part about the film Nowhere. It's a real shame this didn't receive more widespread airplay, it's an excellent song. And contrary to what everyone says, do not go out of you way to see Nowhere. For that matter avoid the Doom Generation films all together, they're just awful. Do however go out of your way to find this song. It's a brilliant masterpiece, that was sorely overlooked.

Great song sorrily soured ever so slightly by it's inclusion in one of the most convoluted, confusing, unentertaining, unintelligeable, eye straining, brain burning and just plain f*cking awful attempts at filmmaking: A completely forgettable flick entitled Nowhere.

How they came up with this song, I have no idea. They must be musical geniuses. Definetly one of my favorite songs. If you don't have The Dusk by these guys, go get it, it is great.

One guy featuring Johnny Marr, Dave Palmer and James (the Sheepdog haircut guy). He's the main man alright, not disputing that but he has the good sense and taste to get amazing musicians in to make his work even more impressive sounding.

Nowhere is one of the most amazing and beautiful movies ever!!! Seeing it was the first time I ever heard this song and it has stuck with me forever...it was used perfectly and made me listen to/buy other music from TT

A really great song used for a terrible movie. This song was the only good part about the film Nowhere. It's a real shame this didn't receive more widespread airplay, it's an excellent song. And contrary to what everyone says, do not go out of you way to see Nowhere. For that matter avoid the Doom Generation films all together, they're just awful. Do however go out of your way to find this song. It's a brilliant masterpiece, that was sorely overlooked.

That is so cool narathh, Ive just finished watching this movie on IFC. I havent seen it from the beginning, but judging on what I have seen.... very unusual, strange picture. This song really caught my attention too, thats why im here :-) I Think Ill include it in my collection.

If you love the way he sort of whispers the lyrics, check out "Helpline Operator." It's one of my favorites, and his singing is, as usual, amazing.

My dad gave me the album "Mind Bomb" because I had been looking for something different to listen to and I have to say, it is incredible. I'm hearing THIS song for the first time and I love it. I'm sixteen and no one my age knows who these guys are.

i first heard this song at the end of Nowhere (1997) .. its been a fave of mine ever since. There's a cover out there by Angela McClumsky but its nowhere near the original

That's a little strange. I always associate this song with Katrina. I hadn't thought about it since it was new and then, right at the end of August 2005, it came back just in time.

Such true sentiments. This is defo one of the geatest songs ever written. The lyrics and the delivery are exceptional. Matt Johnson is one of the most criminally under-rated songwriters ever. Every single song he wrote is gilded with gold. The refrain and then leading up to the immortal lines "how could you believe that the life within the seed that grew arms that reached, (etc) is brilliant. An immortal beloved song.

I swear this album saved my life when I was so young and depressed, and yeah I listened to it on a walkman too! Indulging my "I am so wise and cool and depressed at 20" emotions;) It still sounds so good too!

please buy the album... I didn't really like the band back in the nineties, but then I borrowed Dusk from a friend recently, and it's really, really brilliant. One of the biggest albums of the decade in my opinion. Matt Johnson's voice is very "storytelling" and the album is almost like a soundtrack
