I'm always half expecting Ken to say Swiss-Toni style: "Listening to a marantz amp warmed up is like making love to a beautiful woman"...

Sounds like psuedo-engineering babble to me.. yeh? Especially in regard to timing, group delay of high frequencies.. yeh? Fortunately Marantz are one of the few companies that still make audio performance a priority. There is also Denon and Luxman.

Bad sound Kills good Music !

compression is really bad for the quality of the music , i agree 100% with Mr Ishiwata

Some of the more recent Marantz products have lost the soul of the music. I had a CD6000 OSE and it sounded great, then it broke, so I got a CD6002 and it sounds too digital and unreal musically. He's right about 'musicality' being lost with technology. It probably started with CDs, now it's got worse with compressed media files.
